She was noticed by impresario Robert Courtneidge and recruited for his productions in London's West End and on tour, particularly the hit musical The Arcadians. She was noted for the purity of her soprano voice. She died after an operation in Cardiff at the age of 51. Malcolm Robert Andrew McLaren (22 January 1946 – 8 April 2010) was a British record producer and singer, manager of the New York Dolls in the latter part of the group's career, and "creator" of the punk band the Sex Pistols. Although, as he himself declared, he was not a musician, the albums released under his name were among the first of the hip hop genre released in Great Britain. He passed away in 2010, on April 8th at the age of 64, in the Canton of Ticino, due to mesothelioma. He rests in Highgate Cemetery, North London
