00:00Before a crowd of thousands in Tacloban City, Leyte, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. campaigned
00:05for the administration's senatorial candidates during the Alianza para sa Bagong Pilipinas
00:10Grand Campaign Rally earlier today. In a strongly worded speech, the chief executive highlighted that
00:16their team is on the right path and urged Filipinos to support and vote in the upcoming elections.
00:22On the issue of crime and illegal drugs, President Marcos Jr. reiterated his stance
00:26that efforts should remain as bloodless as possible. During a press conference,
00:32Alianza campaign manager Congressman Tobito stated that their candidates will continue
00:37to focus on their platforms and vision for the country, despite controversies surrounding the
00:42arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte for crimes against humanity. Alianza candidates also
00:48encourage voters to look beyond political affiliations and instead focus on the capabilities
00:53and track records of candidates running for the Senate.
01:53Yes, we are part of the administration, but we are individuals in a group.
02:01So, to the voters, we're not talking about if you're pro-Marcos or pro-Duterte,
02:10if you're pink, yellow, green, or red. At the end of the day, what we want,
02:17what we can give to our fellow Filipinos is a chance for the ICC. We know that there will be
02:36trials. Definitely, there should be public consultation. To start with,
02:53lawmakers, senators, before we have to talk about it, tackle it, but we can hear
03:00the clamor of the public, so that we would know.
