00:13Yeah, man, I don't really study.
00:14I have my coaches do that.
00:16My pad holder and my coach, Eddie Lopez,
00:19he's very good on that.
00:21He lets me know what I need to, you know,
00:22what I need to see, what I need to worry about.
00:25I know he comes from a good camp with Nate Diaz and them.
00:28So I know he's a great fighter.
00:32I know his game.
00:34I know he's going to come bring the fight.
00:36So those are the type of guys I want to fight.
00:39We're looking forward to seeing that fight.
00:41It should be a great card that we could all check out.
00:44Lights Out always puts on some awesome action.
00:46And, you know, obviously a big thing for Sean Merriman
00:49isn't just obviously he's growing his promotion.
00:51He's trying to grow you guys as well
00:53and not just to lock you in and keep you.
00:55You know, he's talked many times about how
00:57you know, he wants to help his fighters, you know,
00:59continue to grow, continue to move on eventually.
01:01So what's that been like for you?
01:02Obviously, 10 and 3 now, a long time veteran.
01:05You've been on this for almost a decade now.
01:08You know, have you gotten calls
01:09for some of these other organizations
01:10to try to bring you in there
01:12and get you on some of these cards?
01:13What's it been like behind the scenes for you
01:14as you continue to do your thing with Lights Out?
01:16But of course, have your eye on the future as well.
01:20Yeah, man, I think Sean Merriman
01:21is actually doing a really good job right now.
01:24He actually picked up all the workers from Bellator.
01:29So they got like all the matchmakers,
01:31even all the production team, all the camera guys.
01:34They're all like they all work for Bellator.
01:36So he's doing a good job bringing in.
01:38He has the right idea going on.
01:40And I like Lights Out has been treating me good.
01:44I got no complaints with them
01:46and they're actually pretty helping me
01:49to get pushed over to the next level,
01:51which I think which is the UFC
01:52and hopefully after this fight,
01:55it's the UFC, man.
01:57I'm ready.
01:58I'm, you know, I feel like I want to test myself
02:02with the best guys in the world
02:03and that's in the UFC.
02:04So that's my goal.

02:09What do you think the biggest difference from you
02:12is in your career at this point?
02:13Like obviously, as you said,
02:15we saw some great poise and, you know,
02:17some high fire IQ the way you handled
02:19that last fight against Lewis.
02:20Is that something you've always had?
02:21Is that something you feel like you developed
02:22as the years, you know, have gone on?
02:24Were you one of these guys that, you know,
02:26rushing a little bit too much early on
02:27trying to get the knockout?
02:29Or is this, you know, always been the way
02:30your fight style has been
02:31and it's just something that you've, you know,
02:33honed and crafted even more so
02:34as the years have gone on?
02:37No, yeah, I've always wanted to get out there
02:40and, you know, and take my time and be,
02:42you know, I want to get to the UFC
02:44and I'm like, I'm already experienced.
02:46I'm like, there's nothing you could do to me
02:48that I haven't seen, haven't failed or, you know,
02:51so I've put in the time in my fights.
02:55I have a lot of cage time in there, you know,
02:58and I was never rushing finishes or, you know,
03:01so, but now, you know,
03:02that's what the UFC wants finishes.
03:04So now, yeah, I do look for finishes now
03:06and, you know, and, you know, you got to be exciting
03:09and I feel like I have a very exciting style,
03:12but now with more finishes for sure,
03:14you know, the UFC won't be able to deny me.
