00:00Yeah, I think today, the biggest thing for us after the last match was coming out and being positive and just improving on our last match, both with the ball but also with the bat and I think, you know, today I think we bowled really well.
00:11Breezy up front, bowling four on the trot and she put a lot of pressure on Tremari in particular but also the other Sri Lankan batters and then Eden as well and Jessica in the power play.
00:20So, I think it was really positive with the ball and then in the batting, I think Georgia and Susie who's done really well this whole last two series.
00:28But in particular, Susie, the way she batted and I think there's a bit of a reflection from her that she's a little bit gutted about not going all the way.
00:35But it was really cool to see Izzy Sharp, who was unfortunate last game not to get any runs, finish off the match today.
00:41So, yeah, it was really positive.
00:43Yeah, I just said when there was one run to go, I just said, you know, the field's all up, just watch the ball and swing kind of thing.
00:54And I think that shot that she won the game off is kind of her signature shot and it's a shot that was seen all through domestic cricket this year.
01:00So, it was really good to see and yeah, a little smile at the end by her.
01:04So, yeah, and I think the way the crowd clapped her first run also was quite cool for her.
01:09And what were the conditions like out there early on?
01:12Ah, just a little bit of dew.
01:14But other than that, I think it was really good, one, to bat on, but also to bowl and field on, I think, yeah.
01:20Crikey Streets really put it on, both with the crowd but also with the weather conditions.
01:23Yeah, speaking of crowd, that was actually the Whitebirds' biggest fun crowd.
01:28I guess how special is it for you guys to get a crowd like that and play in front of such a great team?
01:34Yeah, it was really cool, I think.
01:36You know, the biggest thing when we see a crowd like that is we just want to perform and make it worthwhile for them coming out.
01:41Yeah, it's really cool, I think.
01:42Canterbury, their crowd's always come out, but the way they actually support and they cheer every run.
01:47And, you know, I even hit a ball that went up to space and back down and they all kind of got behind that as well.
01:53So, yeah, it was really good to see the crowd out there and Izzy show up again.
01:57Yeah, she had a lot of cheers, like I said before.
02:00As the Vice-Captain and one of the senior players, I guess how impressive have you been with the, I think, now five new players that have joined the squad from the series?
02:09Yeah, we've had over the last two series five people debut and they've all been able to contribute in some way over that last five games.
02:17And, you know, today Flora's come in with a little bit of her own little spice and a little bit of swagger.
02:23And the way she bowled, I think, was really impressive.
02:25And getting her first international wicket was really cool for her.
02:28And I think, yeah, Izzy Sharp, Emma Cloud last game and Polly behind the stumps.
02:33Like, it's just been a really impressive two series in my opinion.
02:36And today was just, yeah, another layer on the cake, really.
02:39Has it made you excited about the depth that is coming through for white men?
02:42Yeah, I think that's been the really cool thing about this series is that we've seen a lot of young ones come through.
02:46And it also shows us how our domestic cricket competition is actually doing.
02:52But it also gives us a chance to see those ones coming through.
02:54And I think, you know, prime example, I feel, I said on the mic, was Emma Cloud.
02:58And, you know, in the ODI series she kind of struggled a little bit with that rotation of strike.
03:02But I feel like she's really gone and really thought about her game plan from that number three position against Sri Lanka.
03:08And come out in these T20s and really played positively.
03:10And I think, you know, from all five of them are probably learning quite a lot.
03:14One, being in the environment.
03:15But two, versing a team like Sri Lanka.
03:17And, yeah, I think it's just been really positive.
03:19And I hope they're all enjoying the environment.
03:21And also just the experience of versing an international team.
03:38One, rest tomorrow.
03:39And then, yeah, get into it on Tuesday.
03:41And I think the cool thing about the win today is that we now have a level series.
03:45So all to play for on Tuesday.
03:47And don't need to always get out there.
03:49One, probably for Susie Bates.
03:50But two, they've actually got a few others in the team at the moment from Otago.
03:53So, yeah, looking really forward to it.
03:56And try and get that series won.
