00:00Let's go back to the Philippines and take a look at the history of the province of Bohol

00:05on the 460th anniversary of the blood compact between Spain and the Filipinos in Bohol

00:14which is a part of our history.

00:21The officials of the local government of Tagbilaran City and the Provincial Government of Bohol

00:34joined forces in the Blood Compact Shrine to commemorate the anniversary of San Dugo,

00:38one of the most important events in the history of the Philippines

00:42where Spain agreed to the leadership of Miguel Lopez de Legazpi

00:47and the Boholans in the leadership of Raja Sikatuna Ang Kapayapaan on March 16, 1565

00:54which was immediately followed by the settlement as part of the first treaty between Spain and the Philippines.

01:03At the same time, the launch of Saulong Tagbilaran as a celebration of the popularity of Tagbilaran City

01:09which is full of local talent and artistry.

01:13This event is a celebration of Tagbilaran as a city that serves as the heart and soul of the province.

01:27It highlights the aspects of economy, connectivity and artistry.

01:35Saulong will serve as a window that will showcase the best of Tagbilaran and Bohol in general.

01:42The LGU of Tagbilaran City is hoping that more people will come back to the city.

01:48For this year, Tagbilaranans will be coming home from all walks of life and all parts of the globe

01:55especially that we also highlight the Bohol International Airport.

01:59This July, the avoitees will be operational in Bohol International Airport

02:05but even now, there is a Taipei flight.

02:08So we are coordinating with different tour agencies for tourists, not only Boholanos and not only Filipinos

02:15but also all races to join us for Saulong Tagbilaran.

02:19At the same time of the launch of Tagbilaran City, the city is continuously modernizing.

02:25According to the Department of Information and Communications Technology,

02:29Tagbilaran is one of the top 25 digital cities in the country.

02:35So we have about more or less 6,000 BPO industry workers working in Tagbilaran.

02:41So we highlight their contribution to the economy of Tagbilaran, of course to the livelihood of Tagbilaran.

02:46And we also highlight the innovations, the digital innovations that we're currently doing in the city hall

02:52with all the business transactions being online.

02:55And very soon, we're building our one-stop shop business facility
