00:00We will now start the delivery of automated counting machines in different parts of the country as part of the preparation for the election of 2025.
00:16Comanec is studying if the online voting in Myanmar and Thailand will continue after the election this Friday.
00:23First news, Sandra Aguinaldo.
00:30Because of the earthquake in Myanmar, which was also felt in Thailand, a lot of infrastructure was damaged.
00:36That is why Comanec is studying if the online voting will continue there.
00:41If the country's telecommunication infrastructure is affected, it is possible to return to the system of using balota and machines.
00:50We don't want to give up. We want the official report coming from the consulate or the embassy of the Philippines in Myanmar
00:57if the electronic voting or the internet voting can still be done there.
01:04We want to know how the earthquake affected the country's infrastructure
01:09and if the electronic voting or internet voting of our countrymen in Myanmar will still be effective.
01:19Otherwise, we might immediately send the machines.
01:23It has been more than a month since the election.
01:25Comanec showed the production of pre-LAT or logic and accuracy test in its warehouse in Binan, Laguna.
01:33Comanec explained how this is done to ensure that all parts of the machines are working properly.
01:40We know if the machines are accurate from the start to the end.
01:44As of today, 47,000 of the 110,000 machines were pre-LAT and tested.
01:52Comanec also showed their Santa Rosa, Laguna warehouse where the printed balotas are brought.
01:59Here in Comanec's warehouse in Laguna, the balotas are being prepared for shipment to different parts of the country.
02:07But even though they have a lot of balotas, Comanec said that the complete balotas to be shipped to different parts of the country are in remote areas
02:17such as Moro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao and some parts of Visayas.
02:24Comanec also said that they are almost done with their preparation for the election.
02:29We are already in the last part of our preparation.
02:33We are already used to the level of 1 to 10.
02:37On April 20, the verification of the balotas is expected to be completed.
02:41On April 4, the delivery of automated counting machines to different parts of the country is expected to begin.
02:49In the wake of the campaign for local and national elections,
02:53Lola Amor said that they have not yet approved all of the campaign jingles of their candidates.
03:02Comanec did not deny the group that filed a complaint to the Commission and the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines.
03:09The campaign of Comanec continued against the campaign poster that was spread in the wrong place and was too large.
