00:00Next time you go to Tagaytay, go for an ultimate barcada bonding experience in a place that
00:08offers healing and relaxation.
00:15Both for humans and their furry friends.
00:18Barcada Cafe started off as an idea by our family.
00:24We actually had extra space here in the training complex, so we were like, oh, we should put
00:33up a cafe shop because my parents, actually the whole family loves coffee.
00:39Barcada Cafe is actually just a bonus of all the activities that you can do here.
00:46So you could have a shoot, you could train your dog, you could have your Krav Maga training,
00:53you could have your sound healing, or your Kundalini yoga.
00:57In the end, you can have coffee.
01:00The name Cada was from my dad's friend group, so it's short for barcada.
01:07Aside from all the activities that you can do in the compound of Cada Cafe, you are also
01:13invited to visit their private garden.
01:15I sometimes give them away to our friends, relatives, you know, whoever wants.
01:21If you want to go home, it's for personal use.
01:26We have a lot of dill, and then the petchay are always in bloom.
01:30Yes.
01:31Petchay are all year round.
01:34And for some reason, arugula, so arugula is, you know, abundant here.
01:41That's kangkong right there, calamansi, and we have the chickens for our eggs.
01:47It's just great that you're maximizing a supposedly idle part of your property.
01:53Normally, this, for others, they'll just do this, Bermuda.
01:57There's, I'm not trying to romanticize it, but that's how we pretty much grew up in the province, right?
02:04I mean, every morning, your job is watering, and then after a few weeks, you harvest.
02:09And there's this certain enjoyment, fulfillment that you get to have when you are part of
02:16that process.
02:18Some might wonder, what do you bring back when you go to Tagaytay, Alfonso, the area?
02:25A lot of people would say, the food, the vibe, the drinks.
02:34But for someone who has lived here for years, I think it's that unique spirit of the nature
02:44here that makes me want to come back.
02:47Cada cafe for me, having to meet the owners, buko dun sa simplicity of what they're serving,
02:55just the pure honesty of wanting you to be disconnected, and just reflect on what you
03:02have, and be thankful.
03:05Ang haba nung litania ko para introduce sa inyo, kasi na-enjoy ko talaga yung kanilang ginger tea.
03:11Yun yung nararamdaman ko kanina while enjoying yung very hot, and may intensity din kasi sya,
03:18strong yung in order ko na ginger tea.
03:28Just to show you how generous yung grated ginger, ayan no?
03:34So syempre, hindi mo sasayamin yan.
03:39So we have here a beautiful creation, ube crema latte.
03:48What makes the ube crema special, we have a certain way of drinking it.
03:55That special way makes the drink whole.
04:00Tip lang sa ati ni Jared, is para mas ma-enjoy mo lang, suggestion niyo lang naman nyo ito,
04:05for you to experience yung kanilang concoction is, pull mo yung spoon, so may maiiwan dyan
04:13na generous serving of ube halaya, kainin mo sya, alam mong yung halaya nila is hindi
04:28galing sa supermarket.
04:30You can still feel yung bits, chunks ng ube.
04:35It makes you understand na there was a lot of effort involved.
04:40Crema coffee is an Americano with crema on top.
04:45What's special about it is that you don't really see people use crema around here.
04:52So we try to integrate Americano with a little bit of a soft and sweet cloud on top of it.
05:02It's a perfect combination of bitter, sweet, creamy, and then top ng yung bits ng milk chocolate.
05:12Solid na pampagising to, lalo na dun sa, medyo gusto nila may angas yung kanilang coffee.
05:19So for me, solid talaga.
05:23As you unplug from the noise of the outside world,
05:26you'll also be able to experience healing kapag sumali ka sa kanilang kakaibang wellness class.
05:31Hi, this is sound healing.
05:34And let me, I'll be using all these instruments.
05:38And I'll be introducing you to some sounds.
05:43And I'll be using the gong.
05:45Okay.
05:47So the sound is a complementary healing for your body, mind, and spirit.
05:58It also stops the external and your internal noise.
06:04Inhale deep.
06:06Exhale.
06:09Inhale to begin.
07:15So
