00:00And so you can't bet it anywhere unless you're in Nevada.
00:03I was highly disappointed in that news.
00:06I immediately went to the underworld.
00:08I said that I'm sure I can find someone that'll take the action on it.
00:13And there's games all night long.
00:15What do you think of them banning the betting on it?
00:18I think it's absolutely ridiculous.
00:21But state laws are state laws.
00:23It varies by state a lot.
00:25Most of the mainstream sports books took it off
00:28at the request of the gaming, their local gaming commissions.
00:32Like you said, Scott, nobody's paying attention to this.
00:34Wait till the commissions find out about the WBIT that we were betting on, Scott.
00:39It's a WBIT, right?
00:41So it wasn't it wasn't sanctioned this tournament.
00:46The legality of it is there's basically it's like a professional tournament.
00:50Scott's almost like the TBT.
00:52There's NIL deals on the line for the winning kids.
00:57Three hundred thousand dollars.
00:59So like there's an incentive for the players to want to win this.
01:02They're going to get NIL deals, the winning team.
01:04And, you know, the winning team gets 300K, whatever.
01:06Second place, 100K, whatever it is.
01:09So there's sort of a prize pool for this, Scott.
01:11And therefore, it's it's not they're not allowed betting on it
01:16for whatever reason.
01:16But what's the difference about this than like
01:19if a team gets paid to play in a bowl game?
01:22Like Michigan aren't playing in a Rose Bowl for free people,
01:24the Rose Bowl are paying them, right?
01:26They're getting money to go to play in that game.
01:29So I don't know what the difference is because the kids are actually
01:32getting the money now.
01:33There seems to be some sort of betting issue.
01:35But I personally don't have a problem with it, Scott.
01:38And I have DePaul plus ten right now as we speak.
01:42We just tipped off Bearcats and the Demons.
01:46So I took DePaul plus ten.
01:47Listen, DePaul are actually not a bad basketball team.
01:50I think they're better than their record indicates.
01:52We saw them give Creighton all they can handle in the Big East tournament,
01:56getting a ten spot.
01:57I think they're going to play loose.
01:58They're going to play fun.
01:58And like you said, Scott, who cares what the tournament's called?
02:02King of the court, crown of this, the crown of whatever the hell it's called.
02:06The fact of the matter is every game went over yesterday, dude.
02:09And I think we'll sort of see that theme continue.
02:12We got some higher totals as the day goes on.
02:14But these basketball games, guys, when you're betting on them,
02:18they're like bowl games. All right.
02:19They're like lower tier bowl games.
02:21Now you're into the final four, the NIT, the coaches will take it seriously.
02:25And they'll call kids out for not playing defense.
02:27Like once you get to the final four, the NIT is a little bit different.
02:30But you got to these CBI, CITs, king of the courts, crown of the courts, whatever.
02:35You know, the coaches are just happy to kid.
02:37Number one, hasn't transferred yet and went to another school.
02:40Number two, they're just happy that the kids are playing for them still.
02:44They're not yelling at him, Scott.
02:45You know the drill, bro.
02:46It's like, let's have some fun.
02:48Let's run and gun.
02:49Take your shots, kid.
02:50And let's see where the chips fall.
02:52And that's why you get all these overs like college football bowl games.
02:55Right. Coaches. All right.
02:56Let's let's work that trick play that we never used all year.
02:59We're going to go. We'll go for a fake pump.
03:00We got nothing to lose. This game's for fun.
03:03They want to win. Right.
03:04They want to win.
03:05But they also understand the kids are not going to be engaged
03:08if you yell at them for eight months out of 12 months a year.
03:11So they're going to have some fun out there.
03:13I like the overs. I'm on the over this game, Scott, with the Bearcats
03:16and DePaul, and I'm on DePaul plus ten.
03:18Let's go over to this game.
03:19Did you watch all the games last night?
03:21Did the governor did Brando call all four games?
03:27I don't know, because I'm on the air, Scott.
03:29I don't have the sound. Oh, yeah.
03:32Right. I mean, I didn't see.
03:34You don't know if he's calling, if he's like doing the whole thing tonight
03:38through the Tulane USC game at eight West.
03:42No, no, that's too long.
03:43He's not there from three until one in the morning.
03:47Well, it's it'd be noon, noon, noon out there, noon to 10.
03:52Yeah, it's still 11 hours, four games in a row.
03:54No, they've they've got to have somebody else.
03:55They got to be got on some of that profile fuel.
03:58He might be able to make it. Yeah.
04:03What do you think of that guy getting banned after all those runs last year?
04:08Now we know why he threw the ball at the Dodger fans.
04:10The guy had Roy rage. Right.
04:11I remember last year he got into the outfield
04:15and he wanted to go to the stands after and stuff.
04:17So I don't know, Scott, I kind of figure in today's day and age, bro.
04:22If you get like suspended, like you're pretty stupid
04:27and you must have really, really done something for real.
04:31Right. Because they don't want to suspend you, bro.
04:33I do. And I covered the the Expos.
04:35I was around the Expos in the steroid era.
04:36It was literally like the Roy era, right?
04:39Bonds and all that type of design and McGuire and Sosa and stuff.
04:42And Major League Baseball used to send a, you know, random drug test.
04:47And it'd be like once a month type of deal.
04:49Like they will. They would do it.
04:51But get this.
04:52Everybody that was on steroids would magically disappear from the clubhouse.
04:56And oh, he's in the shower.
04:58I don't know. He's working out somewhere.
05:00Oh, I see. It's just here.
05:02They're just like kids, Scott.
05:03I don't know who I want and Joey.
05:06I saw him somewhere.
05:07I think he's in the bullpen somewhere. Right.
05:09And all these guys just sort of disappear around the stadium,
05:11even though they're in the stadium, like they punch the time clock.
05:14I'm here. So they're not hiding.
05:16But then they go hide.
05:17But there's a there's an understanding, Scott, of the drug testers.
05:20Let's say we don't want to bust anybody like Jamie Carroll, guys.
05:24I'm just throwing out a random name here.
05:26Look up Jamie Carroll after guys like five, eight.
05:29Yeah. Overachiever, lifelong minor leaguer made the big leagues and stuff.
05:34You know, loves God. Hardcore Christian guy.
05:36Scott, this guy did more drug tests than Courtney Love in his career. All right.
05:40And why was why was why was Jamie Carroll the one they were like,
05:44Jamie's not on steroids.
05:46He would he would be there like waiting for the test.
05:49Hey, guys, I'll take the test.
05:51And they'd be like, yeah, yeah, we know you're not on steroids.
05:54But 18 other guys are on your team.
