00:00The Philippine Medical Team has arrived in Myanmar to assist in the rescue operation
00:05after it was hit by a 7.7 magnitude earthquake there.
00:09At 2 p.m. yesterday, the C-130 aircraft that landed at Nai P Tau Airport
00:18passed through the DOH Philippine Emergency Medical Assistance Team, or PEMAT.
00:23The team consists of doctors, nurses, medical technologists, pharmacists,
00:27midwives, nursing attendants, administrative logistics, and technical staff.
00:32According to Dr. Ivy Lozada, the team lead of PEMAT Visayas,
00:36they immediately set up tents in the area to provide medical services to the victims of the earthquake.
00:43They are also reciting prayers for the safety and well-being of their operation in Myanmar.
