Waratah's Melanie Coleman speaks ahead of the Newcastle championship netball season | April 3, 2025
Transcript
00:00Melanie, how's Waratah shaping up this year? We're looking really, really good.
00:04We've utilized the pathway to bring some of the players up from the 23s and the
00:09Opens and into the Champs as well, so we're pretty excited. We've got some
00:13really strong players and a lot of skills there, so we're hoping that this
00:16year will be a good year. Who's a player to watch in your team? I'm feeling like all
00:22the players are really, really good. We do have a really good shooter, Lucy, who's
00:25an absolute gun in goal attack and even in the mid-court chorus as well, so we're
00:30hoping that bringing her up in the Opens from last year will be a definite
00:33benefit to the team. And who's going to be the team to beat? I think Nova's going to be
00:37the one this year. They seem to have some really strong players. I know there's
00:41been a lot of movement through all the teams this season, or in the offseason
00:45should I say, and I think Nova's going to be the one that, yeah, is really strong.
