00:00Now on the flip side, a couple of struggling players. What's funny is that everyone seems to
00:05be talking about Rafael Devers every day now. It's like it's gotten to that point. It's like
00:09you check the box score. Did he get a hit? Did he strike out? I think he's getting better,
00:16but the stats are just so ugly from this early part of the season. I don't know if we talked
00:20about this last week on the show, but this reminds me a little bit of that Jose Ramirez season where
00:27April and May were just so dreadful, and then he came back to have a fantastic second half.
00:32I think that will happen with Devers. Let's go to Christian Jelich though. I mean, look,
00:36this is like classic Christian Jelich. For two weeks of the season, whenever it is,
00:43this guy's going to hit like a buck, and then all of a sudden he starts going off. So
00:48got no real worries about him. 0-83, one home run, three RBIs, two stolen bases.
00:53And then we have another player here who I'm not worried about too, and that is Francisco Lindoor.
00:58Francisco Lindoor just had a baby, and personal stuff in the mind. He was on the
01:05paternity leave for a while. So for me, I got no worries about really either of those two players.
01:10I don't know what anyone expects from Christian Jelich at this point. He's never going back to
01:13hitting 40 and driving in 140, but both these guys will be okay. I think with all three guys,
01:20Devers, I think it was Gray last week who said he wasn't touching Devers, right? He had a lot
01:24of worries, and I sort of agreed with him. There's a lot going on with Devers, right?
01:29Position switch, which we know he wasn't happy about it. Cora was able to smooth it over,
01:33we think, but he wasn't happy about the switch here. He's got coming back of the shoulder as
01:36well. Didn't play much in spring training. So there was a lot of worries about Devers here.
01:42That being said, I do think he'll be fine eventually. I wasn't touching Jelich with a
01:4620-foot pole. Wasn't touching him. He's got the back problem. To me, he was somebody,
01:51no chance in hell. He's playing 125 games. He's going to be on the IL eventually.
01:56Lindor, I have no worries about. Lindor, I'm grabbing here. I grabbed there. I have no issues
02:00with him. Just a slow start. Got up to a slow start last year too. It was fine. So I'm not
02:05worried about Lindor. Yeah, the Braves did. Let's be clear. The Braves scored 10 runs last night.
02:11So I don't think that anything you've seen in the first week is going to carry over,
02:15but George, Austin, Riley, and the entire lineup really struggled in this first week.
02:20They did face San Diego in LA. I'll give them a little break, even though they should have
02:24lost every game, but they didn't face San Diego in LA. We're going to get to the contract.
