00:00And at this point, we will discuss an update on the programs of the current administration here in Mr. President on the go.

00:21First of all, fellow countrymen, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. visited Quezon for the official opening of the month of Filipino Food Month.

00:32The theme of Filipino Food Month 2025 is,

00:35The taste of Filipino food, the richness of our history, culture, and humanity.

00:42On the occasion of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.,

00:45together with Quezon Governor Dr. Helen Tan and Department of Agriculture Secretary Francisco Chu Laurel Jr.,

00:52the National Kickoff Celebration of the 2025 Filipino Food Month was held in Quezon Provincial Capital Compound, Lucena City on April 4.

01:04This celebration is in accordance with the Presidential Proclamation No. 469 series of 2018,

01:11where the month of April was declared as the Filipino Food Month.

01:15This is the month that divides food as part of the culture and identity of Filipinos

01:22and recognizes their contribution to the economy and tourism of the Philippines.

01:28In President Marcos Jr.'s message,

01:30he emphasized that in the celebration of the month of Filipino Food Month,

01:34the kitchens are honored as a sanctuary of the history, culture, and identity of Filipinos.

01:39That is, in food, there is a sense of pride, steadfastness, and compassion for fellow Filipinos.

01:46What is also important is what is called experiential tourism,

01:49where tourists want to see and experience something that they are happy to do

01:55and it is very important for us to introduce Filipino food in these occasions.

02:00In the end, he encouraged everyone to celebrate Filipino food,

02:04maintain the tradition, and pass it on to the next generations.

02:08This celebration was organized by the DA, DOT, National Commission for Culture and Arts, and the Philippine Culinary Heritage Movement.
