00:00PSC Commissioner Olivia Bongcu announced that they plan to expand the country's grassroots program

00:08and organize various sports events for athletes this year.

00:13Meanwhile, the Philippine Women's Softball Team will be training in a training camp

00:18as part of the preparation for the Asia Cup and the Southeast Asian Games.

00:27Following the success of the 2nd PSC All-Women Sports Awards last March,

00:32Olivia Bongcu, Commissioner of the Philippine Sports Commission, confirmed that

00:36they plan to organize various sports events this year.

00:40She said that one of their priorities is to expand and strengthen the country's grassroots development program.

00:47We still have a lot of festivities this coming year.

00:51We have the All-Women Youth Sports Festival in July.

00:57At the end of July, it will be in Rizal Memorial in field sports.

01:03We're still thinking of 10 sports that we can engage or we can talk to that will have sports festivities

01:11or sports competition among the youth, the 18 years old and older.

01:18As a legendary bowler, Bongcu believes that she can accompany and empower female athletes

01:25in various fields in the world of sports.

01:28One of the things I'm looking forward to when it comes to women's empowerment

01:32is the Philippine Women's Softball Team because of the left-right podium finishes
