00:00Now here is how the FTSE 100 in London has fared over the past month.
00:05I must say that for most of morning trade on Monday there wasn't a single company that saw
00:10a share price rise. It closed down more than four and a half percent but you can see that
00:14monthly decline there eleven and a half percent. A similar story in Germany on the DAX over the
00:20past month. Now today it pulled back from a 10% loss earlier in the session closing around
00:25four percent but on the month we can see down 13.83 percent. In France the CAC 40 is also
00:33deep in the red. If we can look at that monthly decline over 14 percent. Let's head to US markets
00:41now. They've been open for around about two and a half hours. Looking at the Dow now continuing
00:46the fall that we've been seeing over the past few weeks. And the Nasdaq too that tech heavy
00:53index that's been seesawing and was down moments ago on the month looked down nearly 16 percent.
01:01And finally we can take a look at gold. A lot of investors have been piling into that. We've
01:04been seeing record highs over the last few weeks but now it's down a bit trading around about
01:09three thousand dollars an ounce.
