China’s rescue team received special gifts from Myanmar’s leader at the weekend in Mandalay.
Min Aung Hlaing thanked them for their efforts following the devastating 7.9 earthquake that has killed over 3,564 people and injured over 5,012, with 210 people still missing.
He said Myanmar looked forward to expanding cooperation with China in emergency response and disaster prevention. Chinese rescuers have so far rescued nine survivors in Myanmar.
