00:00Continuing on, a response from the DSWD to call for relief and evacuation assistance,

00:05as well as posting and promulgating advisories and updates have been prompt.

00:09Food packs have been pre-positioned and are all set for conveyance to distribution centers.

00:14In addition, the DSWD has put up a portal to receive financial assistance for the victims

00:20and distressed families from people abroad willing to help, as our Noel Talakay reports.

00:25The Department of Social Welfare and Development, or DSWD,

00:32has raised the heightened alert level of the National Resource Operations Center in Pasay City

00:38and the Visayas Disaster Response Center in Cebu following the explosive eruption of Mount Canlaon earlier this morning.

00:47DSWD's spokesperson, Assistant Secretary Arine Lumlao says,

00:50The repacking and dispatching of family food packs will continue to ensure affected areas have sufficient supply.

00:58Sila ay kasalukuyan nagpapatuloy sa production at mag-dispatch para matiyak na yung mga stockpiles natin ay ma-maintain

01:08and gayon din po matiyak na kung may kakailanganin ng karagtagan ng mga stockpiles ay agad po nila itong mag-dispatch.

01:18She also says the coordination between DSWD regional offices and local government units

01:25also continues to ensure arriving evacuees receive immediate assistance.

01:31According to ASIC Dumlao, a total of 152,546 family food packs has been prepositioned in the Negros Island region.

01:42Sa kasalukuyan, meron tayong 152,546 na mga family food packs na matatagpuan dito sa LIR.

01:53We have more than 88,000 family food packs in Negros Occidental,

01:58more than 58,000 family food packs in Negros Oriental,

02:03and more than 6,000 family food packs in Siquijor Island.

02:06According to the DSWD Partnership Building and Resource Mobilization Office,

02:12Dika Agapay Donation Portal is open for those who wish to provide assistance even if they are abroad.

02:20Donors can choose a donation channel through DSWD, social welfare agencies,

02:26or directly to local government units or LGUs.

02:29For example, if the DSWD is chosen, click the drop-down button, select DSWD disaster relief operation,

02:38and under the disaster event, choose Mount Kandaon volcanic eruption.

02:42Sa mga kababayan po natin at sa mga gustong tumulong kahit hindi kababayan natin,

02:47who would want to help us out in the Philippines,

02:50especially for those affected by the eruption of Mount Kandaon,

02:56please, you may access the Kaagapay Donations Portal,

03:00and direct your donations to whom you want to send your donations to.

03:06The DSWD appealed to the public living in the areas near Mount Kandaon

03:12to follow the evacuation protocols of local government units and prioritize safety.
