00:00Something absolutely amazing happened at 30 Rock on Saturday night that had nothing to do with Saturday Night Live other than the fact that Elton John was the musical guest.
00:09And Madonna showed up there because she wanted to confront him over their decades-long feud.
00:17If you have been following this since early to the late 90s, Elton John has said some, really, I mean, when Elton John wants to jab at you.
00:26He can do it.
00:27Man, he is an assassin with those words.
00:30And has said things about Madonna, about her performance and lip syncing and other things we can't repeat.
00:37Well, Madonna wanted to finally lay this to rest.
00:41And so she showed up at 30 Rock and said she did.

00:46But she went backstage to have this out.
00:50And they did.

00:54Over the decades, it hurt me to know that someone I admired so much shared his dislike of me publicly as an artist.

01:04I needed to go backstage and confront him.
01:06When I met him, the first thing out of his mouth was, forgive me.
01:10And the wall between us fell down.
01:12Within minutes, we were hugging.
01:13And that's really interesting.
01:17So she.
01:18No, you know what's interesting about it is that she carried this for a long time.
01:22And the fact that she wanted to go there and confront him on it after all these years is just really fascinating to me.
01:27He called her a fairground stripper once.

01:30And the fact that she, I think, would, having known all the things that he said so publicly, and she still went and said, let's just have this out.

01:50She posted that on Instagram because Elton reacted to her post and said, thank you for forgiving me and my big mouth.
01:58I'm not proud of what I said, particularly when I think about all the groundbreaking work you have done as an artist.
02:04Kind of makes you wonder if they're working on music together.
02:08You know, Elton's done collabs with Britney Spears recently.
02:11And then he did that one with Dua Lipa.
02:14So it makes you wonder, is this like the first step of a long rollout of possibly new music together?

02:20I thought we said in the morning meeting that they may do something.
02:23Madonna in her post said that Elton, one of the things he said was, I've actually written a song that we could do together.
02:28One of my favorite songs is the duets is Elton, John, and George Michael singing Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me.
