01:42This is where the comedy ends and the action commences, as the entire cast lash out to subdue

01:52Broly goes berserk
01:54Back in his barbarian days, Broly was nothing more than a vicious rage machine, driven by
02:00a desire to pummel Kakarot into the concrete, and that was about it.
02:04But that didn't mean his acts of violence weren't a spectacle to behold.
02:19After being confronted by the source of his trauma, Broly becomes unhinged, becoming a
02:25mass of muscle and fury known as the legendary Super Saiyan, and in doing so became one of the
02:31most iconic, non-canon characters in Dragon Ball history.
02:35It's a true testament to his character that his sense of vengeance was so intense, he was
02:40willed into the mainstream continuity decades later.

02:53Taking Vegeta's Balls
02:55The Prince of Saiyans only had one mission while on Namek, and that was to gather all of
03:00the Dragon Balls and make himself immortal.
03:03All things considered, he was going rather swimmingly.
03:06That is, until Gohan, Krillin, and their Dragon Ball locator came into the picture.
03:15In one fell swoop, Vegeta's hard-earned scrounging was for naught, and he was essentially left
03:24ballless.
03:25His reaction is exactly what you'd imagine, homicidal urges on an unprecedented level as
03:31he instantly gives chase.

03:37The Death of Android 8
03:40There were a couple of times in the original Dragon Ball where Goku displayed genuine rage
03:45worthy of his Saiyan heritage.
03:47Though chief among them has to be this iteration in the Path of Power movie.
03:52When Android 8 is killed by Commander Black, Goku snaps, the sight of his deceased mechanized
03:59friend causing him to unleash, honestly, one of the industry's greatest and most impactful
04:04Kamehamehas to date.
04:15Alternative universe or not, this moment is peak Dragon Ball.
04:20Guess avenging friendly robots runs in the family.

04:23Bardock's Revenge
04:33Finding out your boss is going to exterminate your entire race certainly can change one's
04:38perspective.
04:39And that's exactly what happens to Bardock thanks to acquiring psychic abilities.
04:45Infuriated and desperate to avert the future, the father of Goku wages a one-man war to take
04:51out Frieza.
04:52But first, he's gonna make it past a few of his elite gods, which he does in spectacular fashion.
05:05Breaking necks, ripping through body parts and blasting them to smithereens, Bardock may
05:11not be able to go golden, but he certainly knows how to throw a punch.
05:23That's the beauty of a multiverse.
05:33Even the most unlikely of characters can have that Saiyan dog in them.
05:37With the preparations for the Tournament of Power underway, Caulifla and Kaba try to get
05:42the timid Kale to unlock Super Saiyan.
05:45While insistent she's useless, her self-loathing actually serves as the trigger, and what a reveal
05:52it was.
05:59We'd all expected that Kale would have some manner of power hiding beneath the surface,
06:04but the fact she turned out to be Universe 6's version of the legendary Super Saiyan was
06:09the best kind of surprise.

06:12Gohan's First Steps
06:14Long before he ever went golden, long before he was saving the world from androids, heck,
06:20long before he hit puberty, Gohan was already a beast in the making.
06:29After witnessing his father be brutalized by Raditz, something snaps inside Gohan, leading him
06:40to unleash a rage-filled headbutt so strong that it sends his murderous uncle reeling.
06:46Now you have to wonder, was this a masterful piece of foreshadowing that would go on to
06:54indicate just how powerful Gohan's innate abilities really were, or was Raditz just so weak that
07:00he lost to a four-year-old?

07:02The Bird
07:03The Bird
07:04While it still doesn't measure up to the original, this particular reveal of Goku's Super Saiyan
07:09form was borderline biblical.
07:12Following Kula's want on destruction, which leads to the death of a random bird, Goku decides
07:18to finish things in the most grandiose manner possible, going golden and giving off some
07:23serious aura, before using his excess energy to bring the bird back from the dead so it can
07:29fly off into the sunset.
07:41That is somehow the most unnecessary yet epic flex made by a Super Saiyan to date.
07:47He giveth life, and he can taketh it away.

08:02Piccolo's End
08:03Nappa and Vegeta's arrival on Earth was instantly followed by a parade of death, including that
08:09of several notable Z fighters.
08:11The most hard-hitting among them, obviously, was Piccolo.
08:15Having the full brunt of a blast meant to kill Gohan, the Namekian spends his final moments
08:20confessing his affection to his would-be son about how their friendship has changed him
08:25into a better person.
08:27It's a genuinely upsetting moment, one that prompts Gohan to once again tap into that well
08:42of unbridled rage as he lights up Nappa with all the ki he possesses.
08:47It may not end him then and there, but it was a valiant effort.

08:57Papa Bear Vegeta
09:01It certainly took a long while for Vegeta's fatherly instincts to kick in, but when they
09:06do, they go hard.
09:14Returning from the brink of death, Perfect Cell takes a moment to celebrate his resurrection
09:19by killing Trunks on the spot.
09:21For the first time, we got to see Vegeta wrestle with the consequences of his pride, and it
09:27is not a pretty sight.
09:34Overcome with grief, he goes all out, and while he doesn't even phase the ultimate creation,
09:40his outcry of anguish is one of his most defining moments.

09:45Time to Pay
09:46One does not tend to associate Goku with a desire to destroy, defend, sure, but never
09:52to beat someone to death out of sheer maliciousness.
09:56But Black and Zamasu are the exception to the rule.
09:59Wanting to rub salt into the wounds, the Traitor God reveals that in his timeline, after taking
10:05Goku's body for his own, Black went on to slaughter Chi-Chi and Goten on the spot.
10:11Goku does not take this well, tapping into his bottomless reserves of Saiyan aggression before
10:26going buck wild with his fists like he's Vegeta on a vendetta.
10:32It's borderline haunting.

10:39I won't let you destroy my world
10:41Brawling against a god is no easy feat, but that's never stopped Goku.
10:46Even with his newly acquired abilities as a Super Saiyan God, Goku is instantly pushed back
10:52against the seemingly overwhelming force of a deity.
10:56This all culminates in a final act of defiance, where he declares he won't let the Destroyer
11:01bring an end to his home.
11:08The ensuing battle is a glorious display of Goku's righteous rage and unyielding spirits,
11:14pushing Beerus way out of his comfort zone and proving that he has the chops to even test
11:20the likes of the Divine.

11:34Broly goes berserk again!
11:37Bringing Broly into the fold of Dragon Ball canon was something we didn't know we needed,
11:42especially in regards to his reimagined character that provided far more depth and sympathy.
11:53Thankfully his signature rage and outrageously muscular physique remained intact.
11:58If anything, his transformation into a Super Saiyan even surpasses that of the original.
12:03With Frieza purposefully killing his father to act as a trigger, Broly loses it, unleashing
12:10such a vast destructive energy that his ascension feels like the end of the world.
12:15The beatdown that follows is just the icing on top.
12:20From the heights of his battle against Perfect Cell, back in his teenage years, it's fair
12:31to say Gohan had fallen off the pedestal when it came to the strongest Saiyan on the scene,
12:37practically outdone by nearly every member of the cast.
12:40That is, until he finally found redemption.
12:43As the world-ending android Cell Max is released on the world, it proceeds to body practically
12:49everyone who gets near it, including Piccolo.
12:59The sight of his other dad getting nearly killed by a recreation of his greatest enemy sends
13:04Gohan off the deep end.
13:06Going literal beast mode, Gohan displays the kind of mercilessness that we sorely missed.
13:12As any fan will tell you, there are two things that you don't mess with when it comes to
13:30the Prince of All Saiyans.
13:32His pride and his bride.
13:34Beerus messed with the latter and paid the price.
13:37After slapping down Bulma, her hubby goes on the warpath.
13:52Despite being nowhere near as strong as a destroyer god, Vegeta overcomes his limits and even surpasses
13:58Goku.
13:59And all for the honor of his lovely lady.
14:02It's not only a brilliant display of Vegeta's strength, but one of the best examples of
14:06how far he's come since his days of being a Saiyan lackey with only murder on the mind.
14:12We can only imagine what happened behind closed doors that night.
14:18The future that this version of Trunks inhabits is not a pleasant one.
14:30Constantly under siege from Android 18 and 17, Trunks' life is filled with nothing but
14:35death and misery.
14:37The pinnacle of which is undoubtedly when his mentor, Gohan, is struck down.
14:41The overwhelming sorrow turns out to be the fuel that Trunks needed to finally become a
14:46Super Saiyan, but comes at the heaviest price imaginable.
14:52It's the rare time where the arrival of a brand new Super Saiyan doesn't instantly pave
15:01the way for a happy ending.
15:08But that's future Trunks' life in a nutshell.
15:11Sometimes you can't be a savior, only a survivor.
15:14Number 3.
15:15Surpassing God
15:17Vegeta's battle against Top during the final stages of the tournament of power is exquisite
15:22in every sense of the word.
15:24The battle is brutal, unwavering, and pushes the prince to the limit, not only physically,
15:30but also in his convictions.
15:38Faced with an enemy who disregarded his own moral code to become a god in training, Vegeta
15:44refuses to concede that which he holds dear.
15:47His pride, his bonds, and his warrior spirit.
15:57It's in this ironclad belief that he unleashes the final explosion once more, only now he's
16:02able to withstand such a radical technique, likely due to his refusal to bend to an enemy,
16:08whose mentality serves as his moral antithesis.
16:12He screamed his way to victory, and we are here for it.
16:15Number 2 Super Saiyan 2
16:31You know it, we know it, everyone knows it, Gohan cutting loose in the wake of Cell's
16:36cruelty is one of the franchise's finest moments.
16:40Having Android 16 crushed before his eyes serves as the catalyst for the pacifist Saiyan to
16:46decide that it's time to throw hands now and worry about morals later.
16:56The explosion of power, the music, Gohan's enraged expression, all of it serves as the perfect
17:03introduction to a form far beyond that of the original Golden Warrior.
