Ahead of the main event on the 15th May, Robyn Hewson caught up with some of the companies shortlisted for Insider's North West Property Awards 2025 at a special drinks event held at Dear Sailor in Manchester.

00:00How does it feel to have made the shortlist?
00:17I think the Insider Northwest Property Awards are the standout event of the year.
00:22It's always an honour to be nominated and we've been fortunate enough to come away with a few awards out of the tab.
00:29So hopefully we can be successful again today.
00:32Fantastic. And what's the project that you've been shortlisted for?
00:35Yes, it's for the regeneration of Upper Brook Street, which is a mixed-use site of 350,000 square pub of life sciences,
00:43983 student beds.
00:45We've been successfully gone through planning with our joint venture partners and murder.
00:50Okay, hi. I'm myself from Sheila Bird and this is Georgia.
00:53We're just now in amazing spaces for amazing life.
00:56Fantastic. And you've been shortlisted for the Northwest Park.
00:59It's amazing!
01:01It's great to be on the shortlist.
01:05Lots of amazing organisations doing amazing work at Manchester University for Hearst.
01:09And Georgia designed it.
01:11It's a team effort.
01:12So tell us a little bit about the project that's shortlisted.
01:15So yeah, we've been shortlisted for Hearst Accountant.
01:17So it's their brand new HCO based in Stockholm.
01:21So yeah, really excited for them.
01:23We just really wanted to change up the way an accountant firm looks, feels, works
01:28and just make it really solely for them and their new talent coming through as well.
01:31Those sorts of nights at your place are amazing.
01:34Lots of, lots and lots of amazing people in Manchester celebrating what's good about City.
01:38We've only been going four years, so to be, yeah, shortlisted for Newcomer of the Year,
01:46especially the Northwest, which is obviously where we're based,
01:49is just a tremendous privilege really.
01:53Really, really, really happy.
01:54Fantastic.
01:55And what are some of the exciting projects that you've been working on across Manchester at the moment?
01:58We've done some great things these past couple of years.
02:01We've done the Adanola head office, which is fantastic,
02:04in the Danzig building over at the Noma quarter.
02:07We've also just done Muzeera, again, another fashion upcoming business,
02:14which is Kusabup Kornopolis, beautiful building.
02:17Bringing that building back to life was amazing.
02:20So yeah, we've done some cool things and plenty more to come in 2025 and beyond.

02:32And we, yeah, it's going to be a mad one.

02:44We're really proud to be on that shortlist alongside some other amazing operators.
02:48It's still amazing.
02:49Especially because we've been shortlisted for our brand new categories.
02:53So it's been a really exciting year for Colony.
02:55What are some of the things that you've been up to?
02:57Aside from getting ready to launch our brand new venue, Colony Spring Gardens,
03:00which by the time you see this video is probably open, hopefully.
03:04You know, we've been reinvesting in our venues, refurbishing workspaces,
03:08providing new amenities to our members.
03:11And Holly's been spending a lot of time working on our brand partnerships
03:14with local businesses as well as part of our Colony Card initiative.
03:18We're really excited to find out this exciting project.
03:30It didn't have a suitcase at us in Northwest.
03:32It's great that the project's got such recognition.
03:37It's obviously done wonders for East Manchester.
03:40Sustainable credentials as well around our country and how it's taking a venue forward.
03:46It's got a bit of insight.
03:47It's great.
03:48We enter the Inside Awards every year.
03:50It's fantastic to be shortlisted.
03:51Manchester's a brilliant city with lots of great law firms.
03:54So it's a privilege for all this company.
03:56And have you been working on some exciting projects at Fieldfisher this year?
03:59We have, yeah.
04:00We've got a very varied department.
04:03There's roughly 50 lawyers.
04:04There's a lot of work there.
04:05Continuing to grow.
04:07New partners in this year.
04:08And some major projects both in Salford and Manchester, Pearlshire in London and around the country.
04:13Fantastic.
