00:00Do you know what else we're used to in 2024-2025 of the NBA season?
00:04The Knicks not beating anybody good, and I can't understand it.
00:06I thought last night was the final spot.
00:08Like, you know what?
00:09Rise and shine New York Knicks at home and get after it.
00:12Final score, Celtics 119, New York Knicks 117 in overtime.
00:17Another loss against upper echelon competition for the New York Knicks.
00:21They'll beat everybody they can except for the really good teams.
00:24Let's start there, Joe.
00:25Why?
00:26Please help me out.
00:27Well, it's just par for the course with the Knicks, but it's also par for the course
00:33for the Boston Celtics, who going into that game yesterday, Donnie, we kept watching the
00:37market, and the market kept telling us, boy, the Celtics have absolutely, they've already
00:43conceded the fact that Cleveland's going to be the one seed, that there's really, they're
00:47locked into the two.
00:49What are we doing here at this point?
00:51They understand it's a marathon, not a sprint.
00:53Everybody on that roster was questionable yesterday, which is why the Knicks, I think,
00:58even went off as the favorite.
01:00But the problem was, just before the game tipped off, you found out, no, actually, they're
01:05all playing.
01:06Porzingis, Tatum, Brown, they're all going.
01:10And then everyone was like, wait a minute.
01:12It looked great early for the Knicks.
01:14It looked like the old Knicks in that second half heading into overtime, and it just feels
01:21like Boston's using some of these spots down the stretch as a tune-up here, really, for
01:26what the postseason and playoffs is going to be all about.
01:30And if the Knicks think they're finally going to beat the Celtics or the Cavs come playoff
01:33time, it's not looking good for the Knicks.
