00:00Oh, damn. Were you... were you together?
00:06Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the television moments that cross the line the most,
00:11ranking them based on shock value, controversy, and audience backlash.
00:15Also, expect a few spoilers ahead. You have been warned.
00:19They dressed Paisley up like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman.
00:24Number 10. Brian's Death. Family Guy.
00:27Dammit, Stewie, what the hell did you do?
00:29Even the bloodiest, most gruesome shows alive stick to one unspoken storytelling rule.
00:35You never, ever kill the dog.
00:38I'll be right back.
00:43Brian, look out!
00:46Family Guy is far from graphic, and yet that didn't stop them from committing the cardinal sin of fiction.
00:52Brian's getting the finest care there is.
00:54He had to share the ambulance with a chicken.
00:56The weight of Brian's death hangs devily on the Griffin family.
01:00I don't know how much longer he has, but I suggest that you all go in and say your goodbyes.
01:04And the series as a whole.
01:06At least for all two episodes.
01:08I want Brian!
01:09A few meagre weeks after Family Guy made headlines for daring to kill Brian,
01:15they spontaneously revived him to restore the status quo.
01:18Killing the dog is bad enough.
01:20Killing him for a cheap ratings-boosting fakeout is even worse.
01:24Brian, look out!
01:27What the hell?
01:29You're alive, my friend!
01:31What? Of course I'm alive.
01:32What the hell's going on here?
01:33Brian, that car killed you.
01:35And when it did, a little part of me died as well.
01:38Number nine, Izzy sleeps with her dead fiancé.
01:42Grey's Anatomy.
01:42You're gonna give the solo surgery to Mare, which is typical and boring and slightly corrupt,
01:47but at least I'm having really, really...
01:50...really good sex.
01:52Standing tall alongside all the romantic entanglements at Seattle Grace,
01:57Izzy and Denny's fraught relationship was a highlight of the show's second season.
02:00But then Denny died.
02:02Did that stop their romance, though?
02:04Nope.
02:05It's hot sex.
02:06We're gonna miss out on the hot, hot sex.
02:07Izzy.
02:07Suffering from a cancerous brain tumour,
02:10Izzy later hallucinates her dead fiancé for the better part of a whole season,
02:14even going as far as sleeping with him.
02:16We don't even want to think about the mechanics of that.
02:18It's a ridiculous storyline that tarnishes one of Grey's Anatomy's greatest love stories,
02:23and still remains the exact moment the show jumped the shark for good.
02:27There'll always be surgeries.
02:28There won't always be fiancés who come back from the dead.
02:31Good point.
02:32Hmm.
02:34Number eight, the opposite of raising the flag.
02:37Seinfeld.
02:38Oh, I don't know if that's such a good idea.
02:41Look, no one knows how long this parade is gonna last.
02:44They are a very festive people.
02:47In an extremely rare turn of events,
02:49this episode of Seinfeld is no laughing matter,
02:51especially if you're Puerto Rican.
02:52The gang's trip abroad starts out fine and dandy,
02:55but then come these stereotyping jokes.
02:57I'm into this Puerto Rican thing.
02:59The sights, the sounds, the hot, spicy flavour of it all.
03:03It's Caliente Day!
03:05The show may have gotten away with a few tasteless gags,
03:08if it weren't for Kramer,
03:09who accidentally sets the nation's flag on fire with a sparkler.
03:12The resounding reaction from viewers wasn't laughter.
03:33It was outrage, and justifiably so.
03:35Seinfeld pushes the envelope,
03:37but literally setting a national flag ablaze is one push too far.
03:41If you know what day this is!
03:43Because it's Puerto Rican day.
03:45Maybe we should have stumped you,
03:48like you have stumped the flag.
03:49So, the lesson here is clear.
03:51Never trust Kramer with a sparkler again.
03:54My car!
03:59You know it's like this every day in Puerto Rican.
04:01Number 7.
04:02Deb, like-likes, Dexter.
04:05Dexter.
04:05You're in love with me?
04:08One declaration of love flushed six seasons of careful character development right down the drain.
04:15Yeah, Dexter, we're looking at you.
04:18If I loved you, I went to the church that night that you killed Travis Marshall to tell you that I'm in love with you.
04:24Turns out, the reason Deb fills such an unbreakable bond with her adoptive brother is because,
04:29deep down, she wants something more out of the relationship.
04:33Something intimate.
04:34Oh my god.
04:38Was.
04:41I don't even know if I f***ing like you.
04:45Put aside the creepy bizarre twist of it all,
04:47it just doesn't make sense.
04:49There was never even a hint that Deb and Dexter were anything more than brother and sister.
04:54Trying to retcon that relationship over 60 episodes in isn't just inadvised.
04:59It actively alienated whatever hardcore fans Dexter had left.
05:03What do you mean you're in love with me?
05:12I didn't, I didn't mean to say that.
05:18I know it's weird and it's gross and it's f***ed up.
05:24I know you don't feel the same.
05:26Number 6.
05:27Margaery and Tommen celebrate their marriage.
05:30Game of Thrones.
05:31I am hers and she is mine.
05:34From this day until the end of my days.
05:41Look, we get it.
05:43You don't sit atop the Iron Throne for being an upstanding citizen.
05:47But while Margaery's machinations may earn her high titles in Westeros,
05:50it would land her behind bars in our world.
05:53Did I hurt you?
05:55No.
05:55You were lovely.
05:57It all happened so fast.
05:59Yes.
06:00In her quest to be queen,
06:01she manipulates her way into a marriage with the newly crowned king, Tommen.
06:05Let's just say the show makes it very clear how they spend their wedding night.
06:08As a friendly reminder,
06:09Tommen is a pre-teen boy
06:11and Margaery is a fully grown woman.
06:13Dragons, affairs, backstabs, whatever.
06:16No moment in all of Game of Thrones will make your skin crawl quite like this one.
06:20I'm a man now.
06:24You are.
06:27And the king.
06:31But you'll always be her baby boy.
06:34Number 5.
06:35Negan's bat finds its mark.
06:37The Walking Dead.
06:38He just took one or six or seven for the team!
06:41After the cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers,
06:43fans of The Walking Dead tuned into the seventh season premiere
06:47knowing someone was meeting an early grave.
06:49What they didn't expect was a double murder
06:52so unflinchingly brutal
06:54it would take over the internet for weeks.
06:57To sum it up,
06:57Glenn and Abraham weren't just killed,
06:59they were bludgeoned.
07:01And boy, was it gross.
07:03Buddy, you still there?
07:06I just don't know.
07:08It seems like you're trying to speak.
07:11But you just took a hell of a hit.
07:13Now, to be fair,
07:15no one watches a show called The Walking Dead
07:17for sunshine and butterflies.
07:18But the sheer excess of violence in these deaths
07:22had even diehards calling foul.
07:24We never thought there'd come a day
07:26where we'd miss the walkers.
07:28I can see this is hard on you guys.
07:31I am sorry.
07:35I truly am.
07:37Well, I did say it.
07:42No exception.
07:43Number 4.
07:44Catching Dinner
07:45Yellowjackets.
07:46We've got to give credit where credit is due.
07:48Yellowjackets wastes absolutely no time
07:51easing you into its barbaric narrative.
07:53Within the very first scene
08:01of the very first episode,
08:03we see a girl run through the snow,
08:05fall into a spiky pit,
08:06and, well,
08:08you can imagine what happens next.
08:09The implication alone is the kind of thing
08:31that would make any squeamish viewer
08:32reach for the remote,
08:34and this is how Yellowjackets starts.
08:39Opening the series on such a horrific turn of events
08:53is a bold move,
08:54but if you can stomach the first scene,
08:57you're in for a thrill ride like none other.
08:59Number 3.
09:00Hannah in the Bathtub.
09:0213 Reasons Why.
09:03Forget the tapes.
09:04There's primarily one big reason
09:06this show caused such a fuss.
09:08One scene, to be exact.
09:10I recorded 12 tapes.
09:13I started with Justin,
09:14and then Jessica,
09:17who each broke my heart.
09:20Alex, Tyler, Courtney, Marcus,
09:23who each helped to destroy my reputation.
09:26As a story about the events
09:27leading to a teenage girl's death,
09:2813 Reasons Why was always going to end
09:31with Hannah Baker's untimely end.
09:32But in depicting the realities of Hannah's decision,
09:35the show went from educational to exploitative.
09:38It all culminated in the now-infamous bathtub scene,
09:42which sparked such backlash,
09:44Netflix had to go back and re-edit the whole thing.
09:47Filled the tub.
09:49Opened a box of razor blades
09:51she took from her parents' store that morning.
09:53The original version was just that troubling.
09:56No matter their original intention,
09:58it's clear Hannah's death struck a nerve
10:00it shouldn't have.
10:01Number two, Damon Pope's Revenge.
10:03Sons of Anarchy.
10:05Donnie.
10:06Hey, Don.
10:08Baby.
10:10Oh, baby.
10:12Wake up.
10:13Oh, man.
10:14As a general rule of thumb,
10:16you should never mess with a crime boss's family.
10:19Definitely not Damon Pope's.
10:21For him, justice is an eye for an eye,
10:23or in this case,
10:24a daughter for a daughter.
10:26Please know my pain, Mr. Trigg.
10:34If it were handled with care,
10:36we'd almost call this reversal of fortune poetic.
10:39But as it stands,
10:40ending Dawn's life with a blaze of glory
10:42while her dad watches,
10:44doesn't feel like revenge.
10:46No!
10:47No!
10:48Baby.
10:49Oh, baby.
10:50Oh, stop!
10:51Oh, baby.
10:54I'm so sorry, baby.
10:55No.
10:56No, baby.
10:57Ah!
10:58Let me go!
11:00It just feels gratuitous.
11:02Oh!
11:03No!
11:04While it successfully established Pope
11:06as a villain to fear,
11:08we wish Sons of Anarchy
11:09could have done it in a way
11:10that didn't leave such a bad taste in our mouths.

11:30Number one,
11:31cats in a bag,
11:32them.
11:33There are some things so scary and foul,
11:35they don't even belong in a horror series.
11:37The cat in a bag scene from them
11:40is one such moment.
11:43There simply aren't any words
11:45capable of describing the atrocities
11:47Lucky and her child undergo
11:49in this flashback.
11:50I am you.
11:56Am I here?
11:57All we'll say is it's endlessly disturbing,
12:08completely terrifying,
12:10and downright stomach-turning
12:11at the same time.
12:13And yet,
12:13that still doesn't quite do it justice.
12:16Them doesn't just cross a line here.
12:18It goes so far beyond,
12:19you can't see the line anymore.
12:21Anyone who tries to seek it out,
12:23beware.
12:24This sequence isn't just scary,
12:25it's utterly unforgivable.

12:33Yeah.
12:35Since we were kids.
12:38I used to have these nightmares,
12:40and
12:40I would sneak into his room
12:44and I'd curl up on the floor.
12:48They wouldn't even know I was there.
