00:00Have you ever been playing a video game when all of a sudden you have a sudden urge to sing?
00:05Well, one Repo player has, and he's become a meme. Recently, a meme trend has evolved
00:10featuring all kinds of reanimations of a clip that was taken from a stream of the horror game
00:14Repo. On March 20th, 2025, the Instagram account of Twitch streamer President Lloyd posted a clip
00:20of himself playing the video game Repo during a stream. At one point in the clip, a different
00:24player, Just C Smalls, starts singing Chess Pain, I Love by Malcolm Todd, while his avatar rolls
00:30around on the ground. The video garnered over 18 million views in the next two weeks.
00:42Its viral spread had it re-shared to TikTok, where it also racked up millions of views,
00:46and soon, memers would start referencing the clip in their content. For example, on March 29th,
00:51TikToker Cooler Dude posted an edit of the clip that begins with the player singing the song
00:55and then transitions to the actual Malcolm Todd version, garnering about 18 million views in a
01:00week. More and more, users would post their own recreations and reanimations of the clip,
01:05featuring the odd-looking character singing earnestly from the ground, usually using the
01:09sound that combines the in-game audio with the actual song, often making some sort of notable
01:13visual shift with the transition.
01:15I love, I love, I love, I love, I love, I love.
