00:00¡Hola, Los Ángeles!
00:04Oligarquía o democracia, pero no podemos tener ambos.
00:10Los Ángeles, yo he hecho mi decisión.
00:51gender identity, or status.
02:21Y, Mr. Trump, no estamos ahí.
02:24We're fighting a president who undermines our constitution every day
02:33and threatens our freedom of speech and assembly
02:36and whose agents are rounding up innocent people off the streets,
02:42putting them in unmarked vans and throwing them in detention centers.
02:47That is what happens in dictatorships, not democracies.
02:57And we're going to stop that outrageous action on the part of the president.
03:02I feel like each day I see a new headline that terrifies me
03:16and I just think it's really important to be showing up and I don't know, you know,
03:32there's power in numbers.
03:33It seems like the other side, if you will, is very loud and so it makes it seem like there's more of them
03:42than there are of people like me and so to be someplace where like all of these people are coming from,
03:48you know, who knows how far they've traveled to come to this event,
03:51like-minded, it makes you feel less alone.
03:56And I think when you feel like you have people around you that believe similar things,
04:01you feel like you can actually change something, not just you fighting by yourself.
04:05And I think that's an important reminder, like we're all fighting, we're all in this together.
04:11We need to show that there is a presence for people with these beliefs,
04:18you know, universal health care, a strong education system,
04:24fighting for the rights of federal workers and workers in general, unions, you know, stuff like that.
04:32Yeah, I'm hoping that there is something that indicates that there is a way out of what we're in right now.
04:44It seems like the administration is just getting away with committing crimes on camera and in front of the world
04:54and I'm hoping that there will be some indication that, I don't know, some sort of consequence for that
05:00or some sort of, yeah, path forward so that we can prevent this from happening ever again.
05:06Yeah.
05:07Yeah, I feel like right now it just feels like a scary time and it feels uncertain
05:11and it feels like there's not much hope, right?
05:15So I feel like coming to a place like this today where so many people who are like-minded
05:20and feel hope and know that there is something better for us, potentially, hopefully.
05:27We're only a couple months into this administration and it just feels like it's getting worse every day.
05:31Okay, so.
