00:00There is another scenario, which is that, you know, with the right equipment, with the right munitions and the right level of support, and some of that's got to be moral support as well, I'd have thought.
00:09The Ukrainians have proven that not only can they prevent Russia from capturing Kiev, they can go far further than that and they can actually take some territory from Russia themselves.
00:21So, I mean, isn't there, I mean, the Russian threat, you know, if they can be staved off by a much smaller country like Ukraine, I mean, isn't there an argument that actually if we, if the collective West throws their support behind Ukraine, actually Ukraine can achieve a huge amount that it doesn't turn into World War III?
00:42Tom, I think that is a valid scenario, and if there was a massive commitment from the West, from the US and the West, and I don't think that's likely, but I also think that it would result in a lot more death.
00:58And the problem here is, even with better equipment, you know, even with, you know, even properly armed, the Ukrainians just don't have enough people.
01:07And, and again, Putin is willing to lose as many as it takes, as many Russians and North Koreans as it takes, you know, that's just cannon fodder.
01:15And, and so that's the problem here is, yeah, I would argue that the Ukrainians are under armed compared to the Russians who've basically turned their economy into a war machine.
01:25But, but I do think that they have another advantage, as sad as it is, that they have many more people.
