01:02jealous because I really love the way they look so I'm now super happy all right thank you we got

02:22but uh I was I'm speaking at Muhlenberg College last week for some reason they wanted me to speak to
02:26the students and uh yeah we had a great Q&A and uh nice when they invite you to talk in like
02:32always like like one time they had us come out and talk to a uh it was some sort of uh kids at
02:37risk or something and I'm like and they they they hated us the second we walked it was a it was a
02:42detention center it was a detention center yeah we went to oh my god what are we doing here I was
02:46terrified yeah right by the Grand Ramal do you remember that place oh my god scared straight you
02:50guys we ended up never we terrified they were scared straight that's what I mean we're terrified

03:18you've played 25,000 yes I played it with Strahan a couple years ago exactly so we're gonna play a
03:22game of pyramid this morning on the Preston and the steam truck there it is all right and so the way
03:29this is gonna work I am going to give you guys some categories uh we we will start we will start
03:38with Jim I'm gonna name these categories and then I will feed you guys the uh the clues it'll just be
03:43easier that way so I'll be your clue giver I'm a decent clue giver and then we'll total up the
03:47points and whoever has the most points will end up being our winner and uh we'll give you a bottle
03:51of water or something I don't know yes here are the categories all right they are as follows and Jim

10:43media you've had a really eventful last few months and yeah i'm so glad i reached out to see if you
10:47might be around for uh for camp out and here you are which is fantastic i know this is my first time
10:51i'm actually technically here because last year i was here with jenna and angela yes yeah
10:54instagram live with you last year but i want to ask you right off the bat what was alaska like
10:59because you got to tour there with jane lynch and that that looked so cool it was it was really
11:03awesome and luckily thanks to global warming it was snowing already in september and it usually
11:07doesn't and then i actually got to shoot an independent film in homer uh alaska which is where
11:12all the alaskans go for vacation and it's it's it looks like every place you look it looks like a
11:17storybook it's fantastic i'm familiar with this i was just watching a documentary about that area and
11:21and it is no matter where you look it looks like a classic postcard shot of alaska and there's one
11:26great bar the salty dog tell them i sent you they know you're there actually i was working so hard
11:32i cannot party when i'm on the road like i'm getting so old like i have to keep it together jane
11:37lynch will kill me if i don't have my my shit together there we go there we go there was yeah
11:44the flannery switchers back at the radio station is being pushed as we speak uh alaska by the way my
11:50wife and i took a trip years ago we first got married to alaska and i still contend it it may
11:56be the greatest vacation we ever took it is you've got to get to it to really believe because you just
12:02know that place that can't exist it can't look that way in real life and it looks even more amazing it
12:07it does yeah the 49th state baby i'm just saying if you're if you're on your way on the black horse
12:12pike to the shore and you're at the diner and you get the placemat check it off the lip right exactly
12:18yeah hey so uh jane lynch you and and the crew are doing a swinging little christmas yes back here
12:25in philly i'm so excited about that we'll be in wilmington december 2nd at the at the grand opera
12:30house and then we'll be in philly at the city winery on i think it's a sunday december 13th we
12:35finally get the chance to see it two shows yeah we're doing two shows yeah lunch and lunch and dinner
12:39there we are awesome that's excellent and so it's it's the two of you you have a piano accompaniment we
12:45we have a five-piece band they're awesome they're jazz but they're great but you guys it's not a
12:50hostage situation i promise that's jane lynch is going to be here too yes okay so december 12th is
12:57my daughter's sweet 16 hey and she loves glee and she loves the office is she 21 i don't know
13:03maybe you don't have to be 21 to be in uh i'll just get her fake id okay yeah yeah honestly i don't
13:09place in ceil that was back in the 80s i'm sorry i may have to bring her to the show were you a fake
13:14id user back in the day i was i got caught too all right oh you did all right so how did did you use
13:19someone else's id or did you try to doctor my older sisters and i still tried to doctor it like a dummy
13:24okay yeah yeah so that we had uh and i actually didn't do this because i had a different fake id but
13:29there was a guy who came to our campus with new jersey ids and like everybody in my fraternity house
13:36had that had you know it was like a hundred bucks or whatever they had to stagger when they
13:41would go to the trap tavern because everybody had the same address in new jersey that was the only
13:46thing jersey was the easiest way to get a fake id because you could actually take somebody else's
13:51birth certificate over to jersey so all of my friends totally had legit jersey ids just with
13:57somebody else's name isn't that crazy i had somebody i had somebody that looked like me don der and i
14:02don der yep that was her name don der and my my boyfriend found it at a bar and handed it to me
14:08he's like this could totally you could pass as this girl i used it for years dropped from the heavens
14:13finally your lap yeah your boyfriend just found it yeah yeah like the girl probably dropped it on the
14:19floor whatever he picked it up another responsible drinker in new jersey that's fantastic these poor
14:24these poor kids in jersey could never get into a bar well there was there was someone and we've
14:29talked about this before who and i didn't get one of these but they actually made a a placard which
14:34was huge right and you would stand in front of it and it was a missouri driver's license you would
14:39stand in front of it and take a picture and then cut it out and laminated and it because it was back
14:44when they was a laminated driver's license and that was what they would use i didn't have the balls to
14:49do it i didn't want i didn't want to get in trouble i understand you know but you probably wanted
14:53to get in trouble okay you actually i'm the youngest of seven i watched all my older siblings make
14:58all these stupid mistakes i'm like never doing that never doing that you could have gotten away
15:02with that but you didn't think ahead of time right right i'm thinking didn't your dad have a bar
15:06anyway although he was very strict about like he you know he was strict did you work in the bar
15:11i never worked in the bar never worked yeah i was in germantown flannery savern since 1933
15:15and uh yeah it was a big la salle university hangout in the 70s so it was a college bar only on
15:21thursday night okay otherwise you had to be an old man or like one woman at the bar
15:25i know the type oh my god what's your name sweetheart that's right i mean my dad had a
15:30code if you cursed in front of any like if there was a woman in the bar and you curse you'd make
15:34you apologize so i get like excuse me miss flannery i didn't even i wasn't even listening
15:39and i get like a an apology so you never worked there by choice or he wouldn't let you or
15:43yeah my brother worked there i think my my one sister alene worked there for one summer but other
15:48than that and then my brother had a bar on 50 on uh 21st street between mark and chest at t.a
15:52flannery's i remember that and i worked i filled in a few times yeah my dad worked there right before
15:58he my dad stopped working 10 years ago at the age of 87 he's 90 oh my god it's amazing the plan was
16:04to drop dead behind the bar that didn't happen i'm glad he's still here right thank god but yeah i
16:08know i think that's what keeps people young yeah yeah i just got a text from my friend jen uh she's
16:13african-american she said her fake id was from west virginia and it said that she was
16:18caucasian on her but was it a picture of her it was a picture of her but he said caucasian that's
16:25amazing well you don't want to you know you can't just presume oh my goodness um how when you were
16:33you know growing up we were talking about you and being around the bar and all that but uh when
16:37did how did acting enter your life i always wanted to be an actress i always like i i wanted
16:41to audition for the tv show zoom i'm totally dating myself i actually had an audition but my mom's
16:46like we're not going up there and you have to live there i'm like i could live with my piano
16:49teacher's cousin i had like this whole plan can you sing the song can you sing the theme song
16:53but then i worked at riverfront dinner theater when i was a senior in high school
17:00at i was in the show bye bye birdie so i felt like a child star because i got to leave every
17:04wednesday after fourth period because i had a matinee who did you play in birdie i played ursula and they
17:09gave me a song for the movie the theme song by my brain because that character didn't have a song
17:13so i got to sing that's awesome yes and i we were entitled to the buffet when we had a matinee but
17:18none of the cast members were entitled to the seafood newberg thank you very much you got that
17:22because of course yeah yes well uh so so musical theater and all this and this show obviously with
17:27the the christmas shows is right in your wheelhouse it's what you it is although i didn't do it for
17:31years i just did things that made fun of it because when i got to second city we used to make fun of
17:35musicals which was a blast which okay so i'm i'm a massive fan i i do love musicals when they're done
17:41right of the recent crop what musical has rocked your world the recent crap well i mean obviously
17:47hamilton it's really it's very catchy you guys it's very catchy no it's it's amazing did you see
17:51the you see the movie sing i did not see sing i gotta see sing yeah i mean i'm like i said i'm
17:56inconsistency i'm always watching turner classic movies well what's the what's your favorite
18:01year old woman what's your favorite classical musical uh gypsy's one of them um you know
18:06singing in the rain singing in the rain american in paris sure there we go why not all right
18:12yeah any of the freddest top hat any yes if they're funny they have to be funny right all right yeah
18:17i'm just lame is stuff i'm miserable enough can't we just lighten up the mood it's true
18:22uh yeah we just went to the the touring uh hamilton uh came through town a couple weeks so great right
18:28went to that it's amazing yeah i'm friends with the guy that plays the king in the national tour and
18:32you know i i i is an irish guy rory o'malley great guy and i think i did a benefit with him so i got
18:37to i i anyway i'm that show is it's beyond i mean i just love when they actually you know they turn
18:43actually fill it up you know cool place you guys hey right in the room where it happens right i want
18:49to be in the room where it happens right right can you pull that off can you pull the real dramatic
18:53vocal stuff off if you uh if you i can but please it's so early and i have not i have not had
18:59enough ponies you gotta have a few beers first um so so what was it what was the biggest production
19:05you've done musical wise on on on stage i mean you know um you know what besides bye bye birdie when
19:12you rehearsal uh you know what i i did some some shows in college and but but i feel like um theater
19:17i mean the only thing i did in new york i did a love loss and what i wore the nora afron show okay i
19:22actually did in philly too for a couple weeks but other than that i haven't done like big productions
19:25because i was in chicago doing all the things that made fun of sure but it sounds like they're
19:29really brady but it sounds like you're being underused a little bit here yeah well you know
19:32what i do i could not sing without a wig on until jane lynch asked me i swear to god i was always in
19:36character so she actually was like be yourself kind of you know i mean whatever yeah your dorky self
19:41and we're gonna do this i've always loved musical theater my favorite is it it's annie but i you know
19:46close second for me is is greece and i always wanted to be in greece and i wanted to be danny zucco and
19:52now here i am i'm 46 years old and that will never ever happen how do you know i was thinking
19:58wouldn't that be funny to have a production of greece where everybody's just old right like
20:04wasn't that the original though weren't they all like yeah you're right you're right channing
20:08stocker channing was like 42 61 yeah i don't think 61 i believe they they brought out the ghost of
20:15eve arden and uh and uh sid caesar they're like let's bury unbury him i don't know yeah yeah who was the uh
20:22who was the most talented musically on the office was it craig robinson was it ed helms
20:26or you it's a toss-up i guess craig robinson is super talented he is a musical genius he can play
20:32anything yeah he has a band called the nasty delicious and they are both they were just here
20:37they they the whole the yes i heard yes he opened for whole notes which was one of my favorite bands
20:41in high school so i think i would have exploded if i was there yes i love when that when ed helms would
20:45bust out the banjo he's a he's a great musician he's a great banjo player i've actually done a lot of
20:50live shows with him a lot of benefits he's he's amazing does it amaze you again we've talked about
20:55this a number of times that the office juggernaut still continues we were the number one show watch
21:02during the pandemic you guys you're welcome but seriously i mean i get recognized i still get
21:07recognized by the back of my head it's like even with like 47 masks i'm hiding it can't hide it's
21:12crazy and also voice is very recognizable so that's that's got to be i'm so shy but yeah you know no
21:19it's it's awesome and i feel like the fandom has only grown and i feel like um between things like
21:23cameo and like you know a lot of um um we've done like some charity stuff through zoom and and some
21:29fan stuff but it's just amazing yeah your uh your cameo is very very popular i i was reading a uh an
21:34article about you know best bang for your buck like who gets the most requests but who doesn't
21:39charge an outrageous amount right uh and you were in that like list of top 25 in the country yeah i know
21:46you know i'm really proud of that because a lot of times people people relate to our show and i feel
21:49like sometimes people go through really hard times and they want a message from somebody from the
21:53office and i'm really happy to represent so because i know like comedy is the best medicine i mean that's
21:58such a i mean but it really is it really heals and i'm so proud to be a part of something that people
22:03actually give a crap about it's it's funny because honestly like when you do get that it's a way to sort
22:08of reach reach out and get a little video from somebody and some people phone it in
22:12and you don't which is cool i actually learned to play the theme in the office on the piano
22:16during the pandemic and sometimes i play it just because i'm sick of the sound of my own voice
22:19right right right let's just let the piano do you do you keep in touch with uh with creed bratton
22:24because he's a musician i do he's actually on the road right now is he yeah he has a new record
22:28at i think he does and it's grass uh grassroots or something like that grassroots was the original
22:33band that he played with in the 60s and then so like you know again like he's taken what he did
22:38on the office but he continues to tour and now he's a musician who's on the road it's really
22:42impressive yeah i love the way he's kind of manifested we were both in the same episode of
22:46um of the bernie mack show i don't think he had any lines oh that's like an annoyed uh mother that
22:51was yelling at bernie through the whole episode but well well let me ask you this does the there's
22:56the incredible popularity even at this point does that put the nail in the coffin of it of there
23:00not being a reunion i don't know you know because it's a perennial question you gotta ask steve
23:06grow i mean seriously i feel like there's this sacredness to it that people don't want to ruin
23:11and i kind of understand it is he the roger waters of this whole thing i think so i think i think so
23:16but yeah you know what i'm gonna bring him a case of ponies maybe i'll loosen them up you guys come on
23:21oh my god no i was impressed with with how good the office was even uh after steve had left yeah right
23:30like it then that just goes to show what a great ensemble cast it was he was actually holding you guys
23:35back no no and and what was great is i think the writers were were really generous in making sure
23:41that everybody had like uh something to uh give to that's true although i will say i like the fact
23:49that meredith did not we didn't really change the chess match during the game because sometimes
23:53they kind of ruin characters right they start giving too they start talking too much and it's
23:57like you're not even funny anymore you're giving all this exposition i'm i'm i feel lucky that
24:01meredith did not really go there no they had one or two episodes where i talked a lot but you know
24:04less is more you guys they had the meter on you yeah it was absolutely great so i i'd love to see
24:09the by the way the the outtakes of of the series are just as great as the series a lot of deleted
24:14a lot of deleted scenes meredith but you can watch them on peacock there's a lot of like super fan
24:19episodes that they put a plugged a lot of our old stuff so it's like walking through an extra
24:23a door through your you know like like you have an extra room in your house yeah it's happening
24:27it's tremendous it's awesome i don't know if you guys know this but um melora harden is doing
24:31dancing with the stars yes play jan we had her on we had her on she's awesome yeah it's awesome i
24:35actually i went to to visit her on uh on at the ball back of the ballroom yeah the episode to see
24:40everybody the we talked about the episode that takes place at the the the the house with a small
24:45dinner dinner party is is one of the absolute best nice well i want to remind you that kate is going
24:50to be back in town uh and that will be with jane lynch it's a swinging little christmas and i've got it
