00:00All right. So first and foremost, let me just let y'all know. My 2020 was dry until June 20th when City on Lock dropped. And then that's when I had captions for days on Instagram. So I appreciate y'all for that.
00:17You know what? Only because, you know, on Instagram, people know you in real life. So I couldn't exactly like use y'all exact lyrics with some of them. You know, like my pussy talk. Kia's, Honda's and Dodge's. Not Benz's, Rovers and all of that yet. Not that yet.
00:35Oh my God.
00:35Yo, no pussy talk that you just ain't got a J. You got a man of pussy.
00:40Speaking of that, so I don't have the bag like y'all yet. Am I still, can I still?
00:47Get a man with a bag. Is that still right for my expectations? Even though I don't got a bag like y'all yet. Before y'all had the bag, was y'all still dealing with dudes who had the bag?
01:02Before we had the bag, yeah, like, you know, it depends on the level. So your type of bag might be a guy who probably got like 10,000, 30,000. It depends on how you move up.
01:14But you can get whatever guy you want in life, like Instagram and the right wig.
01:22Baby, you can get whatever guy you want.
01:24Take these braids out.
01:27Oh, no, no, no. I don't mean to say it like that.
01:30I can't even make it real small on a thing, but no, like, you can get whatever guy is the way you, like, present yourself or what you go after.
01:42It's all up to you, whatever you chase or whatever you consistent with.
01:46Like, you got it. You gonna get it. It's coming.
01:49I feel you on that. So how you doing, JT? You doing good?
01:51I'm doing fine. I'm doing great. A little tired, but we gonna get there.
01:59That's real good. And, uh, Carisha, I met you in Fort Myers, and I was so scared to ask you for a picture because, you know, you be looking kind of mean sometimes.
02:09But when you came off that stage, I was like, can I get a picture? You was like, yeah, it's the show. I was like, she's so nice.
02:16A lot of people probably have a misconception because you just be looking so mean a lot of times, but you really are cool.
02:23Yeah, I know. I just had to say, um, you brought it on the interview before.
02:26You're like, that's just how I am. Like, I don't know if I'm supposed to just be like.
02:31Right.
02:32I just be chilling. Like, I just be chilling. Like, no, I come off as mean, but I'm real cool.
02:38I just, I just ain't gonna be here, but, like, I just be chilling.
02:41Right. And then after watching a documentary, I realized that you were pregnant at the time, so you was actually going through a lot, so that could have been a part of it, too.
02:50Like, you went on stage, did your thing, you got on stage, you know, you want to get back to the bus or the tour bus or whatever and go on about your way.
02:57So after, you know, like, I watched the documentary, I understood a lot what was going on, and you did a good job at, you know, holding it down for JT.
03:05You did a real good job. I've been to two of your shows. So two shows where you just did the solo thing. So that's what's up. I applaud you for that.
03:14Thank you. Which two shows was it?
03:17So I went to the Fort Myers one, and then I seen you in Miami.
03:21Oh, okay.
03:22Yeah, and it was fun. Had to turn up, we turned up, we turned up.
03:27Now, City on Lock came out June 20th, but it wasn't supposed to come out June 20th. Like, what was the date that you guys wanted it to come out?
03:38I mean, that project had so many dates and so many updates, like, we wanted to fix so much stuff.
03:42But we was probably, we were supposed to drop it, like, July the, it was supposed to drop, I think, July 4th. No, that was the 4th of July.
03:51It was sometime in the first week of July, honestly. It was supposed to drop the first week of July.
03:55We was waiting on a song, and we was waiting on her to, you know, like, what happened was the epidemic.
04:03Right.
04:03And then we was going to drop it, and then the Black Lives Matter thing came about, and we, everybody was into that, including ourselves.
04:11And we wasn't, that wasn't the focus. And then when we was, like, it was finally clearing up, her baby father had, um, got shot.
04:20So the focus was there as well. And then a week later, he ended up passing.
04:23And so the week that, I think he passed, the balloon release was that day.
04:28So we wasn't really focused on releasing, but it got leaked.
04:32So through the midst of all of that, we had to just go ahead and go with the flow.
04:37Do y'all have any idea, like, of who could possibly have leaked all of y'all stuff?
04:42No, we have no idea. Maybe, I don't, I couldn't, I can't put my hand on it.
04:47It was, like, had to be somebody who wasn't in a loop, because a lot of those, like, I think one of the songs was not even on a track list no more.
04:57And they didn't have two of the newest songs that we put on the project.
05:01So it had to be somebody who wasn't really in a loop, probably, somebody who probably hang around.
05:06I don't, I really don't know, honestly.
05:09Well, it's a great album. I appreciate y'all for putting it out.
05:13Now, do you know what my favorite song is on the album, which I think my favorite song is?
05:18Jobs.
05:20I like that one, but I make them grow like Pinocchio.
05:24That's what I'm going to hear.
05:25Like a Scorpio. Let's go live. I love that.
05:28I actually made a live, uh, Instagram story before I got to work today.
05:32So I was like, that's my jam.
05:34That's my song.
05:34Now y'all got, yes, yes, love that.
05:38Now y'all got Doja, Lil Baby, and, uh, Lil Durk on the album.
05:44To your body.
05:46I'm sorry, what'd you say?
05:48And Yo Gotti.
05:49Yes, and Yo Gotti, Yo Gotti.
05:51Now Lil Baby, it seemed like he really supportive of y'all.
05:54He always rocking with y'all.
05:56Since y'all are part of the same team, do he be charging y'all a lot of money for features?
06:00You know, Lil Baby is very supportive of us.
06:03Right.
06:05And it's our brother.
06:06So, you know, Lil Baby say he's going to $100,000 for a feature in $200,000 and probably more now.
06:16So y'all give him that $200,000 occasion or sis, y'all ain't got to pay all that.
06:20We just, no, we sis, period.
06:28Now, um, I was watching, um, some other interviews with you guys and I felt what, where you were coming from, JT.
06:35I feel like as girls in this industry, or not necessarily just as girls, but as people who came from, like, you know, where we come from, like, loyalty is so important.
06:47And then when we get into this game, because even in, like, the radio world, like, I came from Fort Myers, I was doing radio in, like, a smaller city.
06:56But then when I got to Tampa, you got to realize, like, it's bigger, like, you're on a bigger platform.
07:02So you can't really trust everybody in the industry who says that they're your friends and stuff.
07:09Now, do you feel like your loyalty maybe has, like, hindered you guys?
07:12Because we had a question from, um, a listener that she wanted me to ask you guys, like, like, of course you're super big.
07:19But do you think that, like, your loyalty might be one of the reasons why you're not where, like, as big as you could be right now?
07:27If that makes sense?
07:30Yeah, it makes a lot of sense.
07:31It makes a lot of sense.
07:33Um, I wouldn't say that because loyalty is loyalty.
07:36You can't regret who you are for nothing in the world or the decisions that you make.
07:42But definitely in this industry, you got to do what's best for you.
07:47And it's just, like, when you come in and you're trying to make money, you come in here and you're trying to make money, not friends.
07:54Like, don't try to come in the industry and try to make friends.
07:58Because there's really no friends in this.
08:00Especially if you didn't grow up with a person and all of that.
08:02You meet some cool people now.
08:05I'm sorry.
08:05Don't get me wrong.
08:06I'm not going to say everybody's just fake and phony.
08:09Everybody is here to eat.
08:11This is a business.
08:13So, if you don't look at it like that and you look at it as, like, oh, that's my friend and I'm going to be loyal to my friend, you will fuck around and miss out on so much shit because you being a friend.
08:24So, just come in the game and be loyal to your business and loyal to the game and loyal to what's going to make you a better artist.
08:32Because the next person is going to know that.
08:36And they're going to know that you're going to know that.
08:37So, they're going to play you and make you feel like, okay, this is how this goes.
08:41But the whole time, everybody's just trying to eat.
08:44So, if you're coming in, come in with the mentality of, this is a business.
08:50This is not the streets.
08:51The only friend I have in this is her.
08:54Like, everybody else, like, it's business.
08:57It's just completely business until they prove, you know, lawyers.
09:01Right.
09:03And see, you guys, like, you guys are very intellectual.
09:06You make a lot of sense.
09:07And you're not just all about, you know, like, what y'all rap about.
09:10Like, I saw that you guys have a Working Women's Wednesday initiative.
09:14What is that?
09:18Working Women Wednesday is, like, this thing that we got going on.
09:21It's, like, a campaign.
09:23Everybody submit their stories.
09:25And on Wednesdays, it was for jobs.
09:30Like, I don't work jobs.
09:32I ain't a job.
09:32It's for all the workers around the world.
09:36And they share their stories.
09:38And on Wednesdays, we look through the hashtags and we pick whoever.
09:40And we give, like, probably two or three people $1,000.
09:44Probably about that Friday or sometime that week.
09:46But it's just extra money in your pocket to help you out.
09:50Now, you have another charity as well, too, right, that you guys are doing right now?
09:54Besides the Working Women's Wednesdays?
09:58No.
09:58What charity?
10:01It was something where you were working.
10:03It was, like, an initiative for, like, inner city kids I saw.
10:08Or maybe I misspeaking.
10:12Yeah.
10:13Well, you guys do a lot.
10:15The Working Women's Wednesdays is definitely good.
10:18Now, do you guys have people that you want to work with on the next project that you haven't worked with before?
10:29No, not really.
10:32Like, we just want to work with whoever want to work with us.
10:34Like, we open to work with anybody.
10:37It's not nobody in particular.
10:39It's probably, like, I'm not going to lie for us to be fresh and new.
10:42We have worked with big artists.
10:43Like, we don't work with Drake.
10:45We don't work with Cardi.
10:46We got a lot of songs coming up with other artists.
10:48And it's like, we work with a baby.
10:51He the hottest.
10:53And it's just, we blessed.
10:55So, it's, we just want to work.
10:57Like, we ain't all for the picking and choosing.
11:00We just want to work.
11:02Right.
11:02No, I feel that.
11:03I feel that.
11:04Now, back to the loyalty thing.
11:05Are you guys still cool with Amigos, even though, like, they have what they got going on with QC right now?
11:11Do you guys let that get in between your relationship, or that's their business, and then y'all stay out of it?
11:19That's, like, family.
11:21Like, it's, you know, like, I don't understand what's going on because we came into QC, like, two years, two, three years ago.
11:29And Amigos was with QC for years, so that's not none of our business.
11:33Like, we family, and we don't, like, we don't love them no different because of whatever's going on.
11:40And we hope everything will get worked out.
11:45Right.
11:45No doubt.
11:46No doubt.
11:46Now, back to pussy talk.
11:48Pussy talk.
11:49Okay, so, basically, y'all said that even though I don't got a lot of money, my pussy can't talk.
11:54The bins, the rovers, the euros, the yams.
11:57I just got to manifest it.
11:59So, what is that, like, a prayer that I got to say at night?
12:02Just rip your pussy muscles, make it wet.
12:05Okay, I'm doing Kegels right now.
12:07I'm doing Kegels right now.
12:08Maybe that can help me out.
12:10Now, who came up with that idea?
12:12Who did y'all both, like, come into it and write that song together and then decide to put Dojo on it?
12:18Or how did that work?
12:18Um, I had already did the song at home with my boyfriend because he produced the beat.
12:25He made the beat.
12:26So, he was making beats.
12:27I was like, I like that beat.
12:29He was like, what you were saying on the beat.
12:31And then I was like, something about my pussy.
12:33And then we came up with the song.
12:34Then when JT got out, I was like, I got this song.
12:37It's called Pussy Talk.
12:37I really, really love it.
12:39And I said, when she put a verse on it, we was thinking of people to put on it and we wanted Doja Cat.
12:44So, we put Doja Cat on it.
12:47No, I like it.
12:48Y'all was really flowing on that.
12:49So, Southside did the beat.
12:51Yo, man, did he give you a freebie or y'all had to give Southside money for that?
12:56Um, I don't know, actually.
13:00So, I mean, obviously, you and Southside are together.
13:04Do y'all see marriage in the future?
13:07I don't want to get married.
13:09I don't, like, I'm not a big person that just want to get married.
13:13Like, I feel like being married is like a piece of paper.
13:16And once you get married, it's like people start saying, oh, you take this because you're a married woman.
13:22You're a married man.
13:23And it just takes the fun out of the relationship because it's like you're trying to be committed to this sheet of paper.
13:28And it's just too much, right?
13:29I just want to be in the relationship.
13:31We have fun.
13:32We do us.
13:34And not all that extra stuff.
13:36Yes.
13:37And I love y'all TikToks you be doing.
13:39And it's funny.
13:41I like y'all relationships that y'all have.
13:44Now, JT, I'm team single and no kids, too, as well.
13:49Do you see a man in your future?
13:50I know you got people shooting shots at you right now.
13:54Ballers, athletes, actors.
13:57Like, what's up, girl?
13:58Like, you got any prospects that you're looking at right now?
14:02No, I'm okay.
14:04I'm fine.
14:05I ain't looking for nobody.
14:07I'm good.
14:08I'm just chilling.
14:09I'm focused on the city girls.
14:12Like, I'm dating my career right now.
14:15Like, I'm just really focused and whenever that, whenever this, I'm just, no, I'm not
14:22looking for nobody.
14:24Period.
14:25Like, at all.
14:26Period.
14:26And somebody wanted me to ask, where did period come from?
14:29Because I don't think y'all get enough credit for that.
14:32Y'all created period.
14:33And now the whole entire world is saying it and flew it out.
14:37So where did period come from?
14:39Like, it's just something you said one day and then it just caught on?
14:43It was one of her verses for fuck that nigga and it stood out and then everybody just starts
14:47saying period.
14:48And then we used to do our drops.
14:50We used to always end it with period.
14:52I like that.
14:53I love that.
14:54Now, listen, no matter what anybody says about y'all, I think that y'all doing it for black
14:58girls, you know, that come from y'all got it out the mud and y'all showing us that
15:03like, you can take your career to next heights.
15:06And y'all real black sisters, like, really doing it.
15:08So keep up the good work.
15:10And I had a lot of lows, but this is definitely like one of my highs being on the phone with
15:15you guys.
15:15I was so excited.
15:16Like, I was like, oh my God, I'm going to cry.
15:18Like, that's probably why my voice shaking, because I'm kind of nervous, because like,
15:21I've been rocking with y'all for a long time.
15:23So I appreciate everything you're doing.
15:24Keep up the good work.
15:25Pussy talk.
15:26All the documentaries y'all drop in.
15:29And just know that, like, it's girls rooting for y'all always.
15:32And don't let us down, which y'all haven't yet.
15:35So thank you.
15:36That mean a lot.
15:37Congratulations.
15:38Congratulations on everything with you.
15:39So.
