00:00Hooked up by 1-800-ASK-GARY.
00:02Now, who's taking the stand?
00:04Ah, that'd be me bouncing my way up here to take the oath.
00:08The Orlando-th.
00:10Yeah.
00:10All right, so that means three questions.
00:12Dobby is on vacation, so Buck Nasty is in here.
00:16In the building.
00:17Give him a question in.
00:17Meredith is in here as well.
00:20Yes.
00:20And Marcus.
00:21And then you guys get to ask your question.
00:23I only get one pass, and I get to boomerang one back that they answer as well.
00:28So can we go clockwise, Buck?
00:30You're first.
00:31Let's run it.
00:32Let's run it.
00:32What you got for me?
00:33All right, so Orlando, your office area, it has a pool table by it.
00:37It's got this old couch that looks like it's been through World War II, III, whatever.
00:43We didn't get the three yet.
00:44We didn't get the three?
00:45No, just so you know.
00:46Oh, okay.
00:47It looked like it was in its own war.
00:48Well, yeah, it's going to start one.
00:49It's pretty nappy.
00:50So there's a lot of stuff going on in your area.
00:53Yeah.
00:53What's the most unprofessional thing you've ever seen someone do?
00:59You know he's been at Wild for like 20 years.
01:02That's why I'm asking.
01:02What's the top of the top, man?
01:04There's a lot.
01:06I mean, the most unprofessional that I've seen.
01:10Oh, there's been a few.
01:12There was the episode.
01:13I mean, it's always included.
01:15You know what?
01:15The most, what's the word, disrespectful?
01:21That's a good word.
01:22Yeah.
01:23That's pretty unprofessional.
01:24Inappropriate, unprofessional.
01:26We had one incident.
01:28Both of them included people who were coming up here after the hours.
01:31When I was just music director, like I was the person who had to be over the staff
01:37because our PD was always off site.
01:39So I had to like get that managerial type thing.
01:41So I was one of the homies, but I was one of the managers.
01:45So there was one time where our conference room used to be on where QIK is right now.
01:52That used to be a conference room.
01:54And when I first started working here, the conference room was there.
01:57And a girl came to see somebody and we found out she danced.
02:03And so we thought it'd be smart to have her dance on the conference tape.
02:09At work.
02:09While we was all sitting around it.
02:11Hey, hey.
02:11It was like, yo, it was like a boss move.
02:14It's like, you know, this was pre-social media.
02:16It's like, yeah, we're going to sit around and watch this girl dance.
02:19And she was dancing.
02:20And then everybody who was watching and smiling, one person stopped and like looked like real
02:26close and was like, oh, oh my God.
02:28It ran out the room.
02:30And it took everybody a little longer to figure out what was happening.
02:33And then when she turned to me with my tip money.
02:35Oh my God.
02:36It was like a string.
02:39Oh, no.
02:41It was a string.
02:42It was a string.
02:43You're supposed to tuck it, girl.
02:45And then I finally, I got it.
02:47I ran out too.
02:49Like, oh, she got the cooties.
02:52Did you end up tipping her anyways?
02:54To leave?
02:55Yeah.
02:57I think I did throw a couple of dollars when I was running away.
03:00Oh my God.
03:01Wow.
03:02Yeah.
03:02So that was like one of the most unprofessional things.
03:05It was, it was way back.
03:07Jeez.
03:07That is a good story.
03:09That was terrible.
03:10All right, Orlando.
03:11You've mentioned it maybe once or twice on air, but Jen is out of the country for the
03:16next couple of weeks.
03:17Yes.
03:17And you.
03:19So I'm on daddy like duty, like not 24 seven, but most of the day.
03:24Like extra.
03:25In case anything happens, you got to be there.
03:27I'm already driving home when I get off the air because I got to go get a dance bag.
03:30Oh my God.
03:32Oh my God.
03:32Okay.
03:32So my question for you is, are you going to take care of the kids like in any different
03:38fashion than Jen would?
03:41Just as an example, like I'm pretty strict with my schedule with my daughter, just because
03:46that makes me happy.
03:47And Anthony would probably throw out the schedule altogether just to make him happy.
03:50Is there anything that you're going to do differently because you're taking care of
03:53them intentionally?
03:55Maybe because it would, you would be doing a better job.
03:58I mean, no, you know what?
03:59I think, I think she does a great job, but I think she also is her.
04:03And so she gets scattered on like a good tweet will take her down for 30 minutes.
04:09Like the thing shut down with social media around her.
04:14Okay.
04:15Yeah.
04:15So, uh, so I mean, I'm just, I'm, I'm a little bit more cause I'm, I'm more nervous.
04:20I don't have time to sit around.
04:21Like I can't, I don't cook, so I got to make sure I plan like ahead.
04:25Like she can make something up, whip something up.
04:27She got something in the back of the freezer or something.
04:29And you know, if that happened, um, I mean, I got a plan on where I'm going to take them
04:34or get a meal from them.
04:36So I have a little bit more, more, more planning.
04:38Uh, but yeah, I'm definitely throwing some stuff out.
04:40Like she sent me a list of groceries to go get for their lunch.
04:43I deleted that.
04:44I'm like, yo, so what y'all want to eat?
04:46And they're like, well, we usually eat this.
04:48And I'm like, well, your mom put this on the list and they're like, do we have to?
04:51I'm like, nope.
04:52Ooh.
04:52All right.
04:52So what else you want?
04:53So I mean, so yeah, they, they, they, they lunches are what they want this week.
04:56Oh, that's cool.
04:57Which is still within their like confines confines that they've had before.
05:00She just tried to make something easy for me and they were like, nah, dad, we want this.
05:05Yeah.
05:05So are you actually going to use your Instapot?
05:07I am going to use that too.
05:09I'm going to, I'm going to do one cause I've never used it before.
05:11So I'm going to do it with them and have them do it like, you know, awesome.
05:15Kind of like lead it.
05:15Yeah.
05:15It'd be good family time too.
05:16Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
05:18Just trying to do some of those things that's, so I don't, I don't usually get a chance to
05:21do them because of my schedule.
05:22So now I get to do that.
05:24And while she's, you know, running around.
05:26Love it.
05:26Chasing reality shows.
05:27Okay.
05:28My question for you, um, could be spread out over everything, work, you know, home life.
05:35Tell me one responsibility that you have that you wish you didn't.
05:41Like the one thing that you wish you could just, I don't want to do this any longer anymore.
05:46I'm tired of it.
05:49Um, I mean, I don't know.
05:52I mean, I, at home it would be laundry, but we just came up with the remix for that.
05:56Yeah.
05:57I do the wash and fold joint.
05:59Uh, other than that, I mean, as far as like work, what I hate is, um, having to reprimand
06:08people.
06:09Yes.
06:09Because I mean, like I just said, I'm the big homie.
06:12I'm like the dude that was like on the team.
06:14And it's like, for me to have to sit across from people and be like, yo, you slipping
06:18or yo, what was this?
06:20Or blah, blah.
06:21Then it's like people start looking at you like a different, like, you know, like you're
06:25a boss, but if you did what you were supposed to do, we wouldn't have to have this conversation.
06:29So it's kind of like, you know, it's kind of one of those things where I try not to just
06:33rain her ride herd on folks, but only do it when it's necessary.
06:36But when I have to put that hat on, it sucks.
06:39Now it doesn't suck for me because I mean, I like to have that kind of like to make sure
06:43I can kick people in, in the right way and motivate them or whatever.
06:48And like, you know, Hey, Hey, get, get better or do whatever.
06:51But it sucks when you have to like, you know, I've had to fire some people who were close
06:56to me and stuff like that.
06:57So that's, that's why I put drama department over my office.
06:59Cause I'm like, it's always drama going on.
07:01Just point at that.
07:02We're like, yep, that day.
07:03That's the drama.
07:04So, all right.
07:05So we got those three knocked out.
07:06I have not used the pass.
07:07Nope.
07:08Listeners, now it's on you.
07:09All right.
07:09It's the freak show.
07:10Wow.
07:1094.
07:11One base party station.
07:12Plead the fifth.
07:13Second round goes to the listeners.
07:16Uh, 888-429-0941.
07:18You can text mine to shut down.
07:19If you got a question or you call either way, get in.
07:22I still got a pass to you.
07:24Yeah.
07:24And your first one here, we have Kelly on the line right now.
07:27All right, Kelly, you got a question.
07:29Hi.
07:30So this question is for Orlando.
07:32And I'm just curious after meeting all the people that you've met over the years, what
07:37is it that you judge people about that you probably shouldn't?
07:42Okay.
07:42Wait.
07:43Wow.
07:43What?
07:44I get it.
07:45Yeah.
07:45Like what do you judge people?
07:46Like when you're looking at them and meeting them and reading them,
07:49their personality.
07:51Is this just anybody or famous people?
07:53Ooh.
07:54Ooh.
07:55Yeah, let's do both.
07:56I mean, I would say I judge people on how they treat people.
08:03I mean, for real.
08:05Like, I mean, you know, if I see you, like there was somebody who we used to work in the
08:10same industry with, who treated people like dirt and like, you know, like really crapped
08:15on people.
08:17And I've witnessed it.
08:19And somebody asked me, like a client asked me what I thought of them.
08:23I was like, yo, they really good radio people.
08:24They give you good return.
08:26But if I'm being 100, they like a really like an ass, you know, to their people.
08:32And, but I was like, but you ain't buying a friend.
08:35You buying an advertising partner.
08:36So I would definitely go ahead and buy it.
08:38Yeah.
08:38He ended up like doubling down with our boss saying, yo, I want to make sure I buy Orlando
08:43and the freak show.
08:44And he's like, really?
08:45He's like, yeah.
08:45He said he gave me honest.
08:46He's like, I seen the guy with his staff and he gave me the honest truth.
08:50He was like, yo, you need to advertise with him if you want to, you know, don't go golf
08:54with him, but you might want to whatever.
08:55So it's always being 100.
08:57I like that.
08:57So, I mean, and I pay attention to how people treat people.
09:01As far as, as far as the celebrities, kind of the same way.
09:05If they come in and they're like, really like, like when, when Bill comes in and he greets
09:12every person in the room.
09:13Yeah.
09:13I think that's dope.
09:14When we've had certain people walk in and they don't say hi to Buck or they don't say
09:19hi to Shawnee or they don't say hi to people who are around who are helping us
09:23or whatever, that, you know, that's a little bit.
09:25Like Rick Ross.
09:27He didn't say hi to me at Wild Splash.
09:30You're so mad.
09:30This is walked by you like you to help.
09:32Man, I was waiting.
09:34Yeah, I didn't see that.
09:35I would have said something.
09:36I would have walked over and introduced y'all because I mean, you can't, you can't treat
09:39the support like that.
09:40I have one for you.
09:41It just came in on the text line.
09:43Orlando, have you ever caught wind or caught someone cheating at the station on their significant
09:50other?
09:51If so, who and how did you handle the situation?
09:54Oh.
09:56Oh.
09:59What?
10:00One of.
10:00I mean, no.
10:01I mean, wait.
10:01Okay.
10:02Have I ever caught somebody cheating?
10:04Like somebody that you work with, I guess is what they're alluding to.
10:06And who was it?
10:07Mm-hmm.
10:09On their significant other.
10:10Man.
10:11I mean, I could totally use the plea here, but I just, I mean, because I could answer this.
10:15I could answer this because it was so public.
10:19Yes.
10:20But I don't want to unearth it.
10:22But it was one of our DJs.
10:24I will never forget that.
10:25It was one of, it was, I don't know, I mean, I don't know which one you're talking about.
10:29I know which one I'm talking about.
10:30On air DJ or like club DJ, mixing DJ?
10:33I mean, I don't want to put no, I, I, okay.
10:40All right.
10:40Listen, it ain't my, it's not my story to tell.
10:43I mean, but I will say that very publicly, we hired one of the local DJs to come, leave
10:51his radio station to come to us back in the day.
10:54And that was DJ H Vidal.
10:56And H Vidal is the homie and doing really well up in Pennsylvania now.
11:02But during that time he was married, he's now divorced and remarried.
11:06Uh, but the demise of his marriage happened while he was at the station.
11:13And so I remember that going down and I was just like, that's getting messy.
11:18Like, you know what I'm saying?
11:19And I, you know, so I don't want to put out his story, but I would, I would say that that's
11:23one of them that, that people probably already know about because he's been so open about
11:27it.
11:28But, uh, when you, I see a lot up here because people throw it at the people.
11:32I mean, people throw it at Meredith, people throw it at Mark, they throw it at Davi, they
11:35throw it at me, they throw it at, they throw it at anybody.
11:38And it's always about access.
11:39They want access to artists or tickets or whatever.
11:43And you know, you just got to keep it moving unless you mark and then you jump on everything.
11:47Come on in.
11:48I thought you were going to pick somebody else.
11:49I just don't like saying no to people.
11:51That's all.
11:51Yeah.
11:51No, you don't.
11:52I mean, yes, man.
11:53We know you don't.
11:53I have one last one for you, Orlando, uh, which one of your daughters do you favor more
11:59right now?
12:00As we all know, it switches sometimes.
12:03Would it be because she's more like you?
12:08I believe they're in the car right now, aren't they?
12:10No, they're not in the car.
12:11They're in school.
12:12I don't, I don't have a favorite daughter.
12:14My, my daughter, I can't, I could never, I know.
12:17I mean, I don't even know if I, I know I'm not saying I can't say, cause I mean, they
12:21both have different skills.
12:22Like they are, they are joined at the hip learning the same stuff and, and building
12:27a great bond, but they also are painfully different.
12:30And I like what the differences are.
12:33I like the sensitivity of my oldest, Kaylin.
12:35I like the fearlessness of my youngest, Brielle.
12:39Like, but Brielle, like, you know, is scatterbrained sometimes.
12:43And Kaylin is like kind of too soft sometimes.
12:45Like she'll cry at the drop of a dime.
12:47So I like, so I, I mean, I know they're different personalities, but I can't pick one over the
12:50other.
12:51Yeah.
12:51You know, so I, I don't, I don't know if that's a tap out or if that's an answer or
12:55whatever.
12:55No, I feel like that was a good way to answer.
12:57You answered it.
12:57Okay.
12:58All right.
12:58Uh, so I get to point one back at y'all.
13:00Yes.
13:01Uh, I will say, um, I don't even remember.
13:05All right.
13:06You asked me, what did you ask me?
13:09The most, what was it?
13:11Disrespectful or something?
13:12The most disrespectful.
13:12What's the most unprofessional thing you've seen happen at this station?
13:16Go.
13:17Oh, damn.
13:18It's got to be at this station.
13:19Uh-huh.
13:20Seen, like physically seen or heard?
13:23Whatever.
13:23Okay.
13:24Whatever.
13:25Oh.
13:25You got to answer it.
13:26You can't tap out.
13:27No, no.
13:27What was the most unprofessional thing that you've seen?
13:29What if, what if I didn't physically see it, but I know it took place?
13:32Okay.
13:32Well, you know it took place.
13:33I got it.
13:33Can I go first?
13:34Yeah, what you want.
13:35When somebody peed in the kitchen in the garbage can, we literally have, and I don't know who
13:41did it, there's an employee here who went to the bathroom in our kitchen, yes, where
13:46we eat and drink, and they peed in the garbage can.
13:50Instead of going to the bathroom.
13:51Right.
13:52And the engineers had to send out an email saying, please don't pee in the kitchen.
13:56All right.
13:58What are you, two?
13:58I do remember that happening.
13:59And apparently it was somebody who didn't want to go all the way down the hall to the
14:03bathroom.
14:04They just cut, split the difference and ran to the kitchen, which I still don't understand.
14:08Yeah.
14:09All right.
14:10Yeah.
14:10I do remember that.
14:11I got one.
14:13Most unprofessional thing you know that happened here.
14:15Oh, that I know that happened here?
14:16I'm just going to say, without saying the person's name, somebody admitted to having sex
14:21in the elevator at work.
14:24I know who it is.
14:25Wait, why are you not saying names?
14:27No, I think you need to say names.
14:28No.
14:29Wait.
14:30Well, then you can't use that one.
14:31I'm going to let that person, if and when.
14:32You cannot use that one if you're not saying names.
14:34Okay, listen.
14:35It was Davi, and he had that in the elevator.
14:40When he told me that, I was like, what?
14:43Years ago.
14:45Yeah, long, long, long time ago.
14:46Long time ago.
14:47Many moons ago.
14:48But anyway, I was also kind of impressed.
14:52And I was like, how did you keep the door closed?
14:54I wasn't.
14:54I was so disappointed in him.
14:57I'm like, dude, I mean, that's not good.
15:00No, it's not.
15:01That door could have opened at any point.
15:03And he was like, I mean, yeah.
15:08No excuses.
15:09All right.
15:09Wow.
15:10I thought you were going to switch the story.
15:11I didn't think you were going to say his name.
15:13I think mine was a couple months ago when I was filming with another station here and the host of the show put a hot dog in a coffee pot for everyone out there.
15:23And people got really pissed off.
15:24People got messed up because they were like, yo, now that coffee going to taste like hot dog or whatever.
15:29Yeah, that was a little goofy.
15:30They do goofy stuff.
15:32All right.
15:32Okay.
15:33Well, we got through it without the pass used.
15:36I like that.
15:37All right.
15:37So it's a wrap.
15:38I plead the.
