00:00Today, Rupert loses one egg and finds two in Rupert and the Easter Parade.
00:30There's a million stories to be told, all the things that he's done, and he's gonna share them all with you, so come along.
00:43Rupert, Rupert the Bell, everyone sing his name. Rupert, Rupert the Bell, everyone come and join.
00:57Rupert is busily searching the garden for his Easter egg, with a little help from Mr Bear.
01:11Warmer, much warmer. You're burning, he cries.
01:17Oh, there it is, exclaims Rupert, as he suddenly spots it in a flower pot.
01:22Oh, thanks, it's beautiful. Now don't eat it all at once, says Mrs Bear, as Rupert carefully places it on the windowsill.
01:31Good morning all, says PC Growler. Mr Bear, could you please judge the Easter Bonnet Parade?
01:38Mr Bear shakes his head. Me? Impossible, he says firmly. You see, Mrs Bear is entering it.
01:47Oh, the constable's disappointed. Oh, I suppose I'll have to do it, he sighs.
01:54But I'm sure half the ladies in Nutwood will never speak to me again. It's a pity I can't give them all first prize.
02:00Just then, there's a whirring of giant wings as a large dragon descends.
02:09It hovers for a second over the garden, lands, and suddenly pushes Rupert's Easter egg from the windowsill.
02:15They all stand stock still in utter amazement, as it pushes it to a pile of grass cuttings, and sits on it.
02:24Oh, it's all right, Daddy. It's only George's mother.
02:28Never mind. She thinks it's her egg, and she'll be cross if you touch her, Mr Bear warns him.
02:34Oh, I know. I'll get Pong Ping. He'll know what to do.
02:37And Rupert leaps into his chariot.
02:40Oh, oh, I do hope he does, says poor Mrs Bear nervously.
02:45I think we all need a nice cup of tea, suggests Mr Bear.
02:49What about you, constable?
02:51Oh, I never say no to a cup of tea.
02:54Oh, good. You were quick, cries Mrs Bear as the chariot returns.
03:02I'm so glad you could come, Pong Ping, she adds. Dragons make me feel so nervous.
03:08Not to worry, Mrs Bear. Everything is under control. I have here some special dragon sweets.
03:15Bless you, Rupert. Do not stand so near. They are full of pepper, warns Pong Ping.
03:23Oh, you poor dragon, he continues holding up the sweet. Come on, good girl.
03:30The dragon lifts her head and sniffs greedily as Pong Ping slowly backs away.
03:36She has lost her egg, so she must have mistaken your Easter egg for her own.
03:42Come on, good girl. Come with George.
03:46And much to Mrs Bear's relief, the dragon slowly gets to her feet
03:51and follows Pong Ping and George through the gate, wagging her tail.
03:55Oh, my poor daffodils, sighs Mr Bear.
04:00Ugh, exclaims Rupert, picking up his squashed Easter egg.
04:05What a sticky mess. And it was my best Easter egg too, he sighs sadly.
04:11Cheer up, says Mr Bear sympathetically. We'll have to see what we can do.
04:17Oh, but it's time for the Easter parade, he adds.
04:20Maybe you'll win the egg rolling contest, Rupert.
04:30Poor PC Growler is most worried as he inspects the ladies in their best Easter bonnets.
04:35Yours is very nice, he tells Mrs Bear.
04:39So is yours, Margot.
04:41Oh dear, oh dear, he mutters. This is going to be difficult.
04:45Yours is very pretty too, dear, he tells Tiger Lily.
04:49And so is yours, he adds automatically, going on to the next contestant.
04:54But, Mr Grimnasty, what are you doing here?
04:57Oh, of course, it's a very nice bonnet, very nice indeed, he adds hastily.
05:02Bonnet? cries Mr Grimnasty crossly.
05:05I'm not wearing a bonnet, this is a nightcap.
05:08Oh, oh yes, I see, I'm so sorry, stutters poor PC Growler.
05:13I came up because there's so much noise, continues Mr Grimnasty.
05:17I couldn't sleep a wink last night, and now bonnets.
05:21Have you ever heard such nonsense bonnets indeed?
05:24Oh, yes, no.
05:26Why, Mr Grimnasty, cries Mr Bear, coming to the constable's rescue.
05:31You're the very person I wanted to see.
05:34We're having an Easter tea party, he explains, and we specially wanted to ask you.
05:39Oh, oh, thank you very much, says Mr Grimnasty, cheering up immediately.
05:46Mrs Bear's cooking is always a real treat, something to look forward to.
05:50I'll go and get ready right away.
05:53Phew, poor PC Growler mops his forehead.
05:58Oh, where was I?
06:00Why, Rosalie, he exclaims delightedly.
06:04What a lovely Easter bonnet.
06:06It's perfect, you win without a doubt.
06:09For Rosalie's bonnet is the most unusual bonnet there.
06:13It's covered with flowers, with a hen sitting on her eggs on the crown.
06:18And everyone agrees.
06:23Come on, it's time for our egg-rolling contest now, cries Rupert happily,
06:28as he takes his place with Poggy, Bill and Edward.
06:31Now, everyone ready, asks the constable.
06:34On your marks, get set, ready, steady, go!
06:43Down the hill, waddling over and over, through the daisies and through the clover,
06:48the eggs go tumbling down the hill.
06:50Come on, egg, come on, shouts Bill.
06:53And come on, egg, shouts Edward too.
06:56You must roll faster!
06:58Oh, come on, do!
07:00I'm winning!
07:01I'm winning!
07:02I've won!
07:03I declare Rupert Bear the winner, announces the constable.
07:08Rupert is pleased.
07:10And he's even more pleased with the prize, which is a simply enormous Easter egg.
07:15Wizardy whizz, thanks!
07:16It's even bigger than the one the dragon squashed.
07:18Now put it in your chariot, says Mrs Bear, before you drop it.
07:19All right, Mummy, there!
07:20Oh, I've forgotten my rolling egg, cries Rupert, hurrying down the hill.
07:22I'll help you look, says Poggy.
07:23Oh!
07:24He trips and falls.
07:25Ow!
07:26My toe!
07:27Are you all right, Poggy?
07:28Asks Rupert, hurrying up.
07:29Yes, I think so, says the little pig, getting gingely to his feet.
07:32I wonder what tripped you up, says Rupert, looking right up.
07:34Rupert, says Mrs Bear, says Mrs Bear, before you drop it.
07:37All right, Mummy, there!
07:38Oh, I've forgotten my rolling egg, cries Rupert, hurrying down the hill.
07:40I'll help you look, says Poggy.
07:41Oh!
07:42He trips and falls.
07:43Ow!
07:44My toe!
07:45Are you all right, Poggy?
07:46Asks Rupert, hurrying up.
07:47Yes, I think so, says the little pig, getting gingely to his feet.
07:52I wonder what tripped you up, says Rupert, looking round.
07:56Oh, wizardy whiz, look at that, he cries, pointing to a gigantic green egg.
08:03Oh, yum, yum!
08:05It's even bigger than the egg you won, Rupert, says Poggy, excitedly.
08:10Maybe the Easter Bunny.
08:11No, no, it's not chocolate.
08:13It's real.
08:14Trumpety trumps, exclaims Edward.
08:18It must have been laid by an ostrich.
08:21Or a crocodile, suggests Bill.
08:24Or a dragon, cries Rupert.
08:27This must be the one George's mother has lost.
08:30I'll take it to her right away.
08:33He and Edward carry it carefully between them, and lay it gently down in the chariot.
08:38Mind she doesn't sit on the wrong one again, says Poggy anxiously, as Rupert takes off.
08:43Hello, Rupert, calls Pong Ping, as the chariot lands in the garden.
08:50I'm so worried about Mother Dragon, he continues.
08:54Look, she is so miserable.
08:56I don't know what to do.
08:58I do, chuckles Rupert.
09:00Just give me a hand with this.
09:02Oh, Pong Ping is pleased.
09:06It's her egg.
09:07Look, look, Mother Dragon, he cries excitedly, as they lay the dragon's egg carefully beside her.
09:15Mother Dragon is delighted, and purrs out her thanks like a steam kettle.
09:21Rupert.

09:31While George bounces excitedly round her, puffing out smoke.
09:35Oh, thank you, Rupert, says Pong Ping gratefully, waving goodbye as Rupert takes off.
09:41Bye.
09:42Everyone has come to Rupert's Easter party.
09:50Rosalie, Margo and Tiger Lily are there in their Easter bonnets.
09:54And Rupert's prize Easter egg is in its place of honour in the middle of the table.
09:59Perhaps it's just as well Mother Dragon squashed your other Easter egg, Rupert.
10:04You might have made yourself ill with all that chocolate.
10:07Oh, but Mrs Bear, I could always help him eat it, chuckles Poggy.
10:12And I'm sure he wouldn't be ill then.
10:15Rupert.
10:16Rupert.
10:17Rupert.
10:18Rupert the Bell.
