00:00Trying to help out David this morning.
00:01He sounds bummed out, and I'm bummed for him.
00:03It's a 995-QYK-715 second date update.
00:07They did something cool, though.
00:08They went to an escape room.
00:09Yeah, a mousetrap escape, he said.
00:12And he said they had a lot of fun.
00:14It was a good time.
00:15And I, like, commended him on a great idea for a date night.
00:20And when I asked him if they talked about going out again, he's like, yeah, we mentioned it.
00:24And he goes, and I don't know why she's not calling me back now.
00:26It would have been three dates, because that was her second date.
00:28Yeah, that was her second one.
00:29All right, so let's try to call Christine right now and see if we can get her on the phone.
00:47Hello?
00:47Hi, this is Christine.
00:49It is.
00:50Hey, Christine.
00:50This is actually J.R., Lana, and Kevin over here at 995-QYK.
00:54How you doing?
00:55Oh, I'm okay.
00:58Okay.
00:58Good morning.
01:00Well, happy Friday, Tia.
01:01We want to see if we can talk to you for a second, on the air, actually, about a date you went on.
01:07I know that's really weird to hear and get a phone call for.
01:11Would that be okay if we talked to you and asked you a couple questions?
01:14I guess it's fine.
01:16All right.
01:17I appreciate that.
01:18Well, we wanted to talk to you about David.
01:21David.
01:23Oh.
01:23Oh.
01:23Yeah, David called us and he told us about your date.
01:27What a cool idea.
01:28You guys went to one of those escape rooms here in Tampa.
01:30And he said you guys had a great time.
01:33It was a lot of fun.
01:34And he's been trying to get in touch with you to go out on another date.
01:37And he can't get a hold of you.
01:39So what happened on the date?
01:41I mean, he said it was fun.
01:43Like, he had a good time.
01:45Yeah.
01:45He said he had a good time.
01:46He said you had a good time.
01:47He said it was a cool idea.
01:48And we thought it was a cool idea, too.
01:50Honestly, I'm shocked.
01:53Really, he panicked in there.
01:55He panicked?
01:56Yeah, he panicked and left me.
02:00Oh, boy.
02:00Wait, can you get out of those rooms?
02:02Yeah, I thought you were, like, locked in there.
02:03I'm sure if it was an emergency, but...
02:05Yeah, but the thing is, is you have to solve all the puzzles.
02:07So I was in there with strangers, like, people I didn't even know.
02:12Oh.
02:13Wait, wait.
02:14Let's break down this panic part for me.
02:15What did he do?
02:17So we got to a point in the maze or whatever in the game, and he just, he started freaking
02:22out and starts banging on the walls, like, emergency, you got to let me out.
02:27Like, I had to get the people there to get him out.
02:30And I thought he was going to come back in.
02:32And I'm just like, okay, and I'm waiting, and I'm waiting, and I don't hear anything.
02:37And I had to do this game with people I don't even know.
02:40Like, he never came back.
02:42Oh, because, yeah, you don't, you're not done until you get out of the room.
02:46Right.
02:47I've never done one.
02:48I haven't either.
02:49Well, congratulations on getting out.
02:51As far as it's going to happen, Christine, that's great.
02:53Yeah.
02:54Did he apologize afterwards or anything like that?
02:56He would think.
02:57Nope.
02:58Nope.
02:58Nothing.
02:59Just played it off.
03:00I just, I don't know.
03:02I think it wasn't a great way to end the date, and maybe he should have come back in
03:07and finished with me or take me with him or something.
03:11That's kind of strange.
03:12I was on a date by myself.
03:13Yeah.
03:14Oh, yeah, that's weird.
03:15I, okay, well, Christine, we actually have David on the phone with us, and I want to
03:19bring him back on because he did not tell us that part, obviously.
03:23David, did this, did this date kind of backfire on you a little bit?
03:29We, you know, like, we were just in a small room, and it was a bunch of people, and I
03:37got, like, super claustrophobic, and, like, I didn't think it was going to be a big deal
03:42ahead of time, but I didn't realize how small those spaces were, and I just have an issue
03:49with being in close quarters, especially with that many people.
03:53You know, I thought you were having fun, and I didn't want to ruin your night, okay?
03:58Yeah.
03:58I mean, you not having a good time affects my good time, you know what I mean?
04:03Like, I don't, like, think you have a bad time and then not knowing where you are, and
04:09like, okay, we chose one called The Dungeon.
04:11Like, what did you expect from The Dungeon?
04:14Yeah.
04:15I'm usually not like that, and, you know, it just got the best of me, and I'm sorry, and
04:20I would really like to go on another date with you if you would have me.
04:24I just, you know, we'll do something outdoors, something where I will be claustrophobic.
04:30I'm just, like, I'm sorry that you had the reaction.
04:33I'm just, like, why go somewhere, like a panic room, if you know you're going to panic?
04:39I just, like, what if you...
04:41So, listen, David, honestly, not making fun of being claustrophobic or having a panic
04:45attack or anything like that, I mean, that's something that happens to people.
04:48Let me ask you a question, though.
04:49Did you not think to maybe, like, hey, let's get out of here, like, together?
04:52Like, tell her, like, hey, come on, we got to go.
04:54I'm not digging this at all.
04:55Like, you could have told her.
04:57Do you see how that might have been a little better thing to do?
05:00I mean, in being in a panicked mode, I didn't fully consider the situation.
05:09And I did consider that she was having a fun time and that I knew that I needed to get
05:14out of there.
05:16Okay.
05:16Yeah, I just, I would have left with you.
05:19Well, Christine, would you be willing to maybe hit the reset button here and do something
05:22different, like something that maybe wouldn't spark a panic attack on his part?
05:27I mean, would you be willing to see him again?
05:30Listen, I, like, I'm sorry that happened to you.
05:33I just, I think I'm good.
05:34I, I saw, I need to see.
05:35I just, you know, I think, I think it's a no.
05:38Okay.
05:38Prefer if you don't call me.
05:40Just, yeah.
05:41Alrighty.
05:41Maybe don't go to one of those escape rooms.
05:43Yeah, probably not a good idea.
05:44Well, David, that's what she said.
05:46And we're going to have to respect that.
05:49I'm sorry you had that experience.
05:51But I do appreciate you coming on with us, David.
05:53We did get you an answer.
05:54And thank you, Christine, for your time as well.
05:58Okay, thanks.
05:59Sorry.
05:59All right, guys.
06:00Take care.
06:01I mean, he sounded very timid the entire time.
06:04So I'm not exactly sure why he would have picked a place like that.
06:07I know he was trying to be creative.
06:08But if you don't like small spaces or being locked in a room, that is not the place to go.
06:14I know, but you're on a date and you see that they're having a good time.
06:18But you're, like, obviously, like, having some issues.
06:21What do you do?
06:22Do you, do you, I mean, that's embarrassing and humiliating.
06:25And it's like, all right, you stay here, have a good time.
06:27I'm just going to go sit this out because I'm a little claustrophobic in here.
06:31I mean, that's a tough call to make.
06:33Yeah.
06:34Now, well, this has been a deal breaker for you guys.
06:36We want to know 800-992-1099, 800-992-1099.
06:40Hit us up.
