00:52Broadcasting live from WDHA's Rock the Rock Fest.
00:58Our concert coverage, by the way, powered by our good friends at Retro Fitness of Kenilworth.
01:02You want to turn, Brandon, you want to turn some heads this summer with Rock and Bod?
01:06Oh, yeah, always.
01:07You stop into Retro Fitness and they're going to show you how to rock the weights, baby.
01:13Even this dad bod?
01:14You have a pretty good bod.
01:17Pretty good.
01:17It's really good.
01:18It is really good.
01:20But I do have to say, you can't put on gold spandex-y pants without having a really good bod.
01:25That guy's been jumping on my shoulders for the last 10 years.
01:29It's all because of Retro Fitness.
01:30It really is.
01:31It really is.
01:32Health and wellness, very, very important, especially for rock stars like you guys.
01:36So, you know, I wanted to talk to you.
01:38I don't want to be like the womp, womp, womp, womp, but I wanted to talk about the fan base for Crobot.
01:41And I wanted to talk about how they came behind you guys because you guys had a sucky after Thanksgiving where all of a sudden.
01:47Now, Bishop, you're living in Austin now, and I've heard that this happens there a lot where equipment from bands all of a sudden just, like, gets stolen.
01:57And you guys are on the road working band.
02:00Look, bands make their money with touring.
02:03That's where you make your money and you're not these days.
02:06And then somebody goes and steals all of your gear in the middle of a tour.
02:09And everybody says, oh, well, they can just go to the record label and get new gear.
02:14I hate to tell you, it doesn't work like that.
02:16They don't like us that much.
02:17They don't like – and nobody likes anybody that much.
02:21So talk to me about the – this was a labor of love with the fans getting you guys back on the road.
02:28Yeah, I mean, we – that happened.
02:31I came home.
02:31It was Thanksgiving night and noticed that it was gone.
02:34And, yeah, it was horrible.
02:36There's, like, $30,000 of all of our stage gear, props, everything that we've built over the last years –
02:43or, you know, over the last probably five, ten years.
02:47And so a fan made a GoFundMe for us.
02:50And, man, we didn't expect anything to reach its goal by any means within, what, two weeks, two and a half weeks?
02:58Yeah, it was pretty crazy.
02:59Yeah, they, like, they got us back on the road.
03:02They got us a new trailer.
03:04And, yeah, I mean, we wrote everyone's name in there.
03:08And, like, this past tour, people were coming up to us, and they were like, I saw my name in your trailer.
03:12Oh, that's so awesome.
03:13And people felt such a part of the tour.
03:15Yeah.
03:15They felt part of the tour because they were part of the tour because they actually were the driving force behind the tour.
03:21So I love that.
03:22And some of the guys were like – we toured with this band, Tragedy.
03:26And they were like, yeah, I donated to you guys, and my name's in your trailer, but I didn't want to say anything.
03:31Oh, that's amazing.
03:31So it was just like – and, like, a lot of our musician friends and friends in bands, like Candlebox and, like, just people – I don't know.
03:38It's just – it was overwhelming.
03:41We had so many listeners.
03:42I had listeners calling me every day being like, can you believe this happened?
03:45This is horrible.
03:46I did, like, a story on our website.
03:48I was, like, sharing it, you know, for people because everybody was just so behind you guys.
03:52So I think it's a great – it's an amazing fan base story.
03:54I had a solid, like, a week where I felt like Clint Eastwood.
03:58Yeah.
03:59And I was, like – I was riding around Austin, and I was like, where are they?
04:04I had to have a talk with them.
04:05I said, listen, Bishop, it's not worth your life.
04:08Yeah.
04:08The gear can be replaced.
04:09I don't blame you, though.
04:10That's crazy.
04:10Yeah, that's crazy.
04:11That's a feeling where you really feel violated, you know, especially with something so personal like that.
04:16So, yeah, my hats go off to the fan base.
04:19Just an amazing touring schedule for you guys, too.
04:23You killed it with Steel Panther.
04:24Phenomenal at Starland Ballroom.
04:27What a show.
04:27I didn't see you there.
04:28Everybody went crazy.
04:31I was there.
04:31I didn't get to see you guys before the show.
04:34Right, okay.
04:34I kind of came in, you know, midway.
04:36You had your daughter was there.
04:37Yeah.
04:38She's a little rock star.
04:40She is.
04:40She doesn't care.
04:41What's happening now?
04:41What does the wife think?
04:42Is the wife thinking, uh-oh, here we go?
04:44No, the only thing my wife thinks is, like, how long can I hold her back before she jumps on stage?
04:49Yeah.
04:49Because that's what she's, she's like that every time.
04:51She loves it.
04:51She loves it.
04:52And she's on your shoulders.
04:53Yeah.
04:53And she's super comfy there.
04:54Yeah.
04:55And she's, you know, she's got her horns up and she's ready to go.
04:58She's a little, actually, a little mini you.
05:01She is.
05:02And, you know, like, she was sitting front row, like, in front of the barricade, so I can see my daughter the entire time.
05:07And she's just trying to get my attention.
05:09And at one point, she's, Daddy, Daddy, Daddy, tomorrow's Sunday.
05:14And I'm like, yes, dear, it's Sunday.
05:17I got to go back to work.
05:19She's so cute.
05:20I love that.
05:21The start of the show, we had the electric chair and it scared her because, like, she thought her dad was getting hurt.
05:25So she was, like, she was crying.
05:27Yeah.
05:27I pretend like I'm being electrocuted.
05:29Yeah, right.
05:29Of course.
05:30And as I'm in the chair, I'm thinking, oh, God, my daughter's here.
05:33She's four and a half.
05:34She's not going to get that I'm faking this.
05:37We should have hatched you out of the egg, man.
05:39Yeah.
05:39If they wouldn't have stolen.
05:41If they wouldn't have stolen it, we would have hatched you out of the egg.
05:43That's so, so funny.
05:45So we'll see you guys in VIP.
05:47Super excited to have you guys up there just getting the party started for us.
05:51No electric chair, though.
05:52No, no, no electric chair.
05:53We're just going to be beer bonging yinglings.
05:56Yeah.
05:56We're in the yingling lounge.
05:57I know.
05:58You got a beer bong?
05:59Yeah.
05:59We can make one.
06:01We've been in college.
06:02We can make one.
06:02I'll just shotgun him.
06:03Just give me a can.
06:04It's the only thing I learned in college.
06:05Right under the table while Bill has us all covered and ready to go.
06:09Just one of those hats, you know?
06:11I'll put some beer in it.
06:12Yeah, yeah.
06:13That's what I need.
06:14I'll play in it.
06:15An 80s movie.
06:17Brandon and Bishop, I love you guys so much.
06:19You know you're our family.
06:20We adore you.
06:21Two of my favorite people on the planet.
06:23Oh, thanks for having us.
06:24We love coming out this way.
06:25Whenever we do anything with Crobat, too, you know what I'm already thinking?
06:28What's the next thing we're going to do with the band?
06:30Because I just love them.
06:31Because they'll do anything.
06:32Yeah.
06:32It's so true.
06:33We will prove it.
06:34And by the way, we have the Lajon.
06:37Oh, Lajon.
06:38Look how pretty.
06:39The Cajon.
06:39This reminds me of one time when we played the Chris Jericho cruise.
06:44We went up to Dan right before we played.
06:46We said, Dan, would you want to make some memories?
06:48Let me take a picture of you.
06:49I was like, give me a big smile.
06:50And he did that with this thing.
06:52And we put it on the backdrop for our whole set on the LED screen.
06:55Dan's the drummer.
06:56Just like, yeah.
06:56It's just like his big face.
06:59Yeah.
06:59And he didn't know at all until the very last song.
07:01We dedicated low life to him.
07:03It was like, to this guy on the screen.
07:04That's amazing.
07:05He lost it.
07:06It was so good.
07:08Dan's their drummer.
07:08And he had a picture of LJ from Seven Dust on this drum that the band plays.
07:12So we framed it.
07:13And we figured if we see LJ, we're going to give it to him today.
07:15Oh, yeah.
07:16He'll love that.
07:16It's great.
07:17Absolutely.
07:17100%.
07:17He's asked me about it.
07:18That's amazing.
07:19At our DHA parking lot party.
07:21Crowbot, let's do Golden on the Rock of New Jersey.
07:27Hey, I've got to get a picture of that.
