00:00This is so amazing that I've got all four guys from Cedar.
00:12It is so fantastic to see you guys.
00:14Sean, I'm going to start with Sean because I felt closer to Sean Morgan from Cedar
00:20during the pandemic and during COVID time.
00:23And I'll tell you the reason why.
00:25You were, for us as a radio station, when nobody knew what the heck was going on anywhere,
00:32you were one of the most accessible artists.
00:34You did a virtual happy hour with people.
00:37You did interviews with me.
00:39You were so free to come on out and talk and say, you know what?
00:43This sucks and we're all going to get through it.
00:45And I just felt, because you've always been kind of that mysterious, you know, rock star, front man kind of guy.
00:51And I felt that I really got to know you at a time where everybody else was kind of in their shell.
00:56And I felt you came out of your shell at that period of time.
01:00Well, initially, that was the easy part.
01:01And then as it dragged on and on and on and on, then it was like, all right, I'm going to join everybody else on the inside.
01:07I think we all did that, right?
01:09We all did that.
01:10Yeah, it was, you know, initially it was just a sort of a fun worldwide vacation, you know, that we weren't supposed to take.
01:18But I think we also talked about a year into it at one point.
01:21And I was like, man, I don't know, this feels like shenanigans to me.
01:25And I still believe that now.
01:27But it was certainly life-changing in many ways.
01:30You know, like my outlook on touring now is very different, you know, leaving my kids behind.
01:36Yeah, yeah.
01:36It's not something I think I can do anymore.
01:40So, yeah, who knows?
01:42I don't know what's in the future for us now.
01:44But I just don't feel the same way about this as I used to.
01:47And it was because everything was taken away from me.
01:49Yeah, yeah.
01:49And you were very honest about that.
01:51You talked about that.
01:52Yeah, and we were told we were nothing and we were useless and take everything that you love and know and just put it on a back burner for, ended up being two years.
02:00Yeah, yeah.
02:01And then, you know, we've only, up until this tour, we've done about 12 weeks of touring in four years.
02:08Wow.
02:08So, things have definitely changed, you know what I mean?
02:11Yeah, yeah, yeah.
02:12But, yeah, it was a cycle.
02:14I came out thinking, you know, it'll be all fun and games.
02:18And then it was like, man, this 15 days is taking a long time.
02:20Yeah, yeah.
02:22And I think everybody was coming from that perspective.
02:25And we just didn't know.
02:27And I thought, you know, of all of the artists, you know, you were just such a guy who came out and talked about things like mental health and things, like you said, feeling devalued.
02:36And I think a lot of people, you know, a lot of people felt that.
02:39And I also, I think I talked with everybody at some point during that because, you know, we still wanted to be connected and we wanted everybody to be connected.
02:49And Dale, I think I got to see some of your amazing collection of guitars, you know, which you're like the gear guy.
03:00You know, there's always so many great gear things attached to you, signature guitars and everything.
03:05And so has your collection grown even more exponentially since last time?
03:10Not really.
03:11I've been focusing on my fishing tackle collection of late.
03:17And you were cooking.
03:17Were you cooking?
03:18Yeah.
03:19Yeah, you were cooking as well.
03:20Cooking a lot too.
03:22So, yeah, just, you know, trying to focus on that stuff.
03:25Again, you know, during COVID, everything kind of changes.
03:27So, you know, one of the few things that you could still do was, you know, fish.
03:33You know, the water was still open.
03:35So, I've spent a lot of time doing that.
03:37And, yeah, just trying to keep busy and trying to keep, you know, keep your mind on, keep your head on straight.
03:44Yeah, yeah.
03:45I feel like being out in nature and out on the water, you know, really helped me a lot.
03:50Yeah, yeah.
03:50Through that time, yeah.
03:51So, Corey, when we hear that all of you guys are coming by, Mike Anthony, he's going to be embarrassed.
03:59He literally looks at me and he goes, I love Corey Lowry.
04:03I love him.
04:05I paid him 20 bucks to say that.
04:07He goes, not in a creepy way.
04:09He's married.
04:09He's got two kids.
04:11You know, but he's like, I love him.
04:12He's like, Stereo Mud and Dark New Day.
04:15He's like, those are some of my favorite bands.
04:18Am I lying?
04:19Dude, it means, the music means a lot to me.
04:22So, it's really cool.
04:23I appreciate it.
04:24Yeah, of course, now it's Seether.
04:25I mean, you got some good stuff going on.
04:27Yeah, man.
04:28He's a brother.
04:29For sure.
04:29For sure.
04:30Yeah.
04:30Stereo Mud, we were based out of New York.
04:32So, I got to know a lot of people from here.
04:35We went through a lot when all that stuff went down with that.
04:38You know, it's like, it can endure and build back and even better than before.
04:44So, you know, ups and downs, you just got to hold on.
04:47Definitely.
04:48Definitely.
04:48Yeah.
04:49Yeah.
04:49Yeah.
04:50Yeah.
04:50And John, I think we had a connection years and years ago because, do you know what band
04:56John was in?
04:58Was it the Nixons?
04:59You knew that.
05:00I didn't know if you knew that bit of trivia.
05:02But we did stuff with the Nixons back in the day at DHA.
05:05Still plays Sister, which is such one of those just great iconic songs, you know, of that
05:10era.
05:11But I don't know if a lot of people, you know, realize that, you know, John was in
05:15the band.
05:15I didn't know you knew that.
05:17You blew my good line.
05:19I'm sorry.
05:20It's just equals I'm really old.
05:22No, no, no.
05:22I've been doing this for a really long time.
05:24You are not old.
05:25You guys are seasoned, man.
05:29Seasoned like a beautiful wine or a fine steak.
05:33So many people are coming to see you because that catalog is nuts.
05:37I mean, I'm probably wrong.
05:39There's probably more, but I'm going to say maybe a Liga Knows.
05:41Is it 21 top five singles?
05:4718 overall?
05:4918 number ones and 21 top five singles.
05:51Not bad.
05:54That's all right.
05:55Well, this is what we say always when we go.
05:57We go.
05:57We love radio bands.
05:58And here's what a radio band is for a radio station.
06:01Radio band for radio station is a band that connects with people.
06:04That's what it is.
06:05A band that connects with people and everybody wants to come to hear Seether and to hear that beautiful, glorious, amazing catalog of songs.
06:15Eight albums, four years since the last one, since C.V. Spassi and Parabellum.
06:20So new music.
06:22Are we looking at some new music on the horizon?
06:23Yeah, we've got plans to release a new album this year.
06:27Beautiful.
06:28I believe, without giving too many specifics, we're looking probably first single somewhere in July and then an album in September.
06:35So, yeah, pretty soon.
06:37Amazing.
06:38Super, super exciting.
06:39And it's funny because on my social media, and I think you saw it yesterday, I was at a show in November, and I see a little girl, adorable, sweet little girl, and she's down front.
06:52It was a mammoth WVH Nita Strauss show.
06:54She's singing all the songs, every word to every song, you know.
06:59And I'm thinking, wow, this little girl knows, like, the whole mammoth WVH record.
07:04Like, this is really impressive.
07:05So, the next thing on the air, I'm talking about this little girl.
07:08Her mom Instagram messages me.
07:10And she says, oh, we're already going to rock the rock fest because her band, of all the rock bands in the world, her band is Seether.
07:21So, I said, wow, this is really amazing.
07:23She's like, she knows every word.
07:25We're going to be down in the GA.
07:26We're going to be down in the pit.
07:27So, her mom was Instagramming yesterday and talked about how she's going to be here.
07:32She's going to be wearing her Seether shirt.
07:33And I thought, you know what, if it would be really cool, I'm sure they're listening on their way into the show, give Abby a shout out, man.
07:39I'll show you a picture of her.
07:40She's like one of your biggest fans.
07:43And that's what I mean about being a radio band.
07:46There's no age.
07:47There's no gender.
07:49There's no race.
07:51This is what music does.
07:53And it just completely connects people.
07:55And let me see if I can find this little.
07:57This is, like, totally off the cuff.
07:58Well, I can guarantee you that Abby knows more of our lyrics than I do.
08:01I'm telling you.
08:02So, I might have to look at her just to see what I have to say.
08:05I've got to see this little girl down front.
08:08If I can, I've got to be able to find her.
08:09Because she's just so adorable and such a fan, like, of the band.
08:15And it was amazing that her mom's like, oh, yeah, Seether.
08:17There she is.
08:18The mom's like, Seether is her band.
08:20And she is awesome.
08:23Is she cool?
08:25She's got swagger.
08:26She does have swagger, man.
08:28Oh, she's adorable.
08:29Yeah.
08:30We'll definitely look out for her.
08:31Maybe throw some, like, the set list or some guitar picks or something.
08:35That would be awesome.
08:36Yeah.
08:36But I love that.
08:37And that's what I said.
08:38You know, radio band, guys, thank you so much for giving us so much amazing music.
08:44It's so nice to see you.
08:45Sean, Dale, John, and Corey from Seether.
08:47Thanks so much for stopping by.
08:48Thanks for having me.
08:48So appreciate it.
08:49Appreciate it.
