00:05Time now for Military Monday on 99.5 QYK.
00:10All right, excited to talk to Brian this morning for our Military Monday.
00:14He is honoring his brother, Jeff.
00:16So, Brian, tell us how your brother has served our country or is serving our country.
00:21Brother Jeff got into the Army Reserve right out of high school.
00:25Oh.
00:26I mean, right out of high school.
00:27Okay.
00:27He went straight into the Army Reserve and was with him for, I believe it was six years, where he was a military police.
00:36And that's what kick-started his law enforcement career, being the military police.
00:41And he just recently retired after 35 total years.
00:45Wow, 35 years.
00:46And where did he retire from?
00:48His last stint was with the Hernando County Sheriff's Office.
00:51Oh, my gosh.
00:52So, started right out of high school and he just...

00:57Wow.
00:58And then he just retired.
00:59Good for him.
01:00So, not only do we get to honor him for Military Monday, but honor him for being a first responder as well, because he was serving right here in our community.

01:10Tell us a little bit about Jeff.
01:11I mean, what do you think kept him doing this type of service for so long?
01:15Well, Jeff is a quiet kind of kid, but good Lord, talented.
01:21He just absolutely loved police work.
01:26He loved his military life, you know, getting into it.
01:30And like I said, that's where Craig started it.
01:32Well, and he's got a great brother in you that's been kind of supporting him throughout his journey as a service member and also a first responder.
01:39Yeah, actually, he and I were law enforcement together.
01:42He was with a different agency.
01:44Well, Brian.
01:45And I just retired myself.
01:46Well, look at that.
01:46Well, then we have to thank you for your service.
01:49So, you're law enforcement as well.
01:50What county do you work in?
01:52I was up here in Pasco County, and I did 27 years over the city of Dade City.
01:57Awesome, man.
