00:00Hey guys, it's Audie with Party With Audie and I have one of my favorites, Jazz.
00:04What's going on?
00:06Okay, Jazz, well this is Jazz's first time, y'all, so every time we do this, you have to choose a card.
00:10Alright, let's do it.
00:11If you don't want to answer what's on the card, you just have to drink.
00:14Alright, let's see. We'll see if you get me today.
00:16Okay, alright guys, let's see.
00:18Go ahead.
00:20If I had a time machine, would I go back in time or in the future?
00:25I would maybe go back in time.
00:27You'd go back in time?
00:28Maybe. I don't really, I'm not in a rush to die, so it's like...
00:32So if you went back in time, what would you change?
00:35Would you change anything?
00:37I wouldn't necessarily change it because I'm just proud of the path that God put me on.
00:41I would probably do some things differently.
00:45If I could go back in time and have the mind that I have,
00:49then I would definitely be more aware of a little more stuff and relationships I didn't need to get into.
00:54I feel that.
00:55Okay.
00:56You know, stuff like that.
00:57Okay, that was a good little warm-up.
00:58Just choose another one.
00:59Okay.
00:59Okay, yeah.
01:00You gotta come harder than that.
01:02Oh, gosh.
01:03You think you're gonna get me.
01:04Are you a FaceTimer or a texter?
01:06I am a FaceTimer.
01:08I'm the worst texter on planet Earth.
01:10Are you really?
01:11The worst texter.
01:12I will read the message, think I'll respond in my head, and then keep going with my day.
01:17And then, you know, it's bad.
01:18So, if somebody's trying to shoot their shot, FaceTime you?
01:22No.
01:22I mean, theoretically, like, if you have my number, then yeah.
01:29Yeah.
01:30Okay.
01:30But, like, you know, social media is the world now, so they're gonna probably slide in the DMs.
01:34Slide in the DMs.
01:35Like, so I have to text, think I'm not FaceTiming a random person, you know.
01:39Okay, Jazz.
01:39Okay, okay.
01:40Last one.
01:41Okay.
01:41I'm gonna try to get to the middle, because that was pretty easy.
01:45If you could say three words to an ex, what would it be?
01:50Oh, three words.
01:54Okay, well, we'll drink to that, because, yeah, I would.
01:56We'll leave them in the past, you know.
01:57Okay, facts, facts.
01:59Okay.
02:00Well, if you guys don't know, Jazz has a really dope EP out.
02:03So, one of my favorite songs on there is called In My Feels.
02:06That is one of my favorite favorites, because, like, you can two-step to it and everything, y'all.
02:10Yeah.
02:10But what was your inspiration for it?
02:13My inspiration, really, so a lot of times I don't write off of my experiences.
02:18I write off of stuff that I see.
02:20And then my boy, Mikhail, he produced a song.
02:23And when I hear a song, when I hear a beat for the first time, and I hear the song immediately,
02:28I know it's gonna be a smash.
02:29And that was one of the ones.
02:30That was it.
02:31Okay.
02:31So, yeah, and it's just, the words just kind of flowed out.
02:34So, you know, shout out to God for giving me the creative direction for that.
02:37Yeah, and then for the video, because that video is fire, y'all.
02:40Oh, man, shout out to the whole team.
02:41It was so many minds behind that.
02:42Was it?
02:43Okay, that's what I was gonna ask.
02:44So, like, did you have your vision, but it was a team?
02:46Yeah, no, I had a vision, but, you know, I can't do anything without a team.
02:50So, they helped bring it to life.
02:51Shout out to Gabe and Clark and my parents, because they all helped.
02:56And Audie, Brock, Cheese.
02:58There's so many people that were involved, all the extras.
03:01It was great.
03:01It was dope.
03:02Okay, and you're an independent artist, right?
03:04I am.
03:05So, what would you say the hardest thing as an independent artist is?
03:08The hardest thing probably is consistency.
03:13Okay.
03:14Because Rome isn't built in a day, and especially doing this, and you think that you have to compete with other artists or other people in your profession, which that's not it.
03:25Rome isn't competing with others, you know, other monuments, like, you know what I'm saying, and stuff like that.
03:31So, that's probably the hardest thing, consistency, and just building the revenue with that.
03:36Yeah, because even, like, your social media, like, your content is fire.
03:39Oh, I appreciate it.
03:40It is.
03:41I got a long way to go.
03:42It is fire, guys.
03:42I got a long way to go, for sure, but I appreciate it.
03:44Yeah, it comes.
03:45Yeah.
03:45Okay, so I've seen you open up for people like Eric Bellinger, Queen Najah.
03:49Yeah, yeah.
03:49How does somebody get there?
03:51Like, you know?
03:52I mean, I feel like I'm nowhere near where I'm going to be, but...
03:58Well, that's, like, I feel like that's challenging, but, like, they were...
04:01Yeah, it's a grind.
04:03It's, um...
04:04So, I'm blessed to be in the position that I'm in, but it's just all consistency.
04:09Like I was saying, it's, you know, reaching out and taking chances, because if you perfect your craft, then other people are going to notice it, and then want to get behind it, you know, and see the value in it.
04:20So, that's...
04:21Just keep going.
04:22Keep going.
04:22Keep working hard.
04:23Okay, so, like, are you in a situation-ship or a relationship?
04:26I'm in a relationship.
04:27Oh, shoot!
04:28Okay!
04:28I'm out of my stage right now, because, you know, I feel like this is it, but I'm out of the stage to where I'm going through hardships and writing songs about it.
04:41But I've learned so much in the past.
04:44I've been through a lot, so where I can, whenever I'm writing, I can reach back in that bank, that memory bank, you know, and I'm good, though.
04:49I'm happy.
04:50That is true, because as a 20-something year old, I'm not going to ever say my age, but for somebody that's gone through, like, love and the heart breaks and stuff, I feel like your EP is, like, it's perfect.
04:59Oh, thank you.
05:00It is.
05:00I appreciate it, yeah.
05:01You guys got to check it out, and I want to get a taste of In My Feels.
05:04Is that okay?
05:05Yeah, yeah.
05:05Okay, cool.
05:06I know you're tired of hearing the same thing.
05:13I'm trying to change things.
05:17I can't help but be in my feels.
05:21When I'm in my feelings, I think about you.
05:25I think about you.
05:27Wake me up, cause this can't be real.
05:31Baby, it's so hard.
05:34Baby, without you.
05:36Baby, without you.
05:40Can you take me for what I am?
05:43You're not what I used to be.
05:46Let's rebuild chemistry.
05:48You and me.
05:50Baby, so come through.
05:53All in my head about you.
05:56I don't feel the same without you.
05:58I don't want it if it's not true.
06:00Oh, no.
06:03I know you're tired of hearing the same thing.
06:08I'm trying to change things.
06:10I can't help but be in my feels.
06:15When I'm in my feelings, I think about you.
06:18I think about you.
06:21Wake me up, cause this can't be real.
06:26Baby, it's so hard living without you.
06:29Living without you.
06:34Why is it so complicated?
06:37Oh, you got me contemplating.
