00:00Thank you for listening.
00:30Thank you for listening.
01:00All right, we got things to get to.
01:14John of the Majors' ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabari, took to the stand yesterday in the domestic violence trial against the actor.
01:22Detailing what happened the night of March 25th, Jabari said that the pair caught a play and had dinner in Brooklyn afterwards.
01:29At the restaurant, Majors was upset that Jabari had confided in a friend about his abusive behavior.
01:35She said he kept saying, I'm going to kill myself.
01:38This time, I'm going to do it.
01:40The professional dancer also shared that the actor was controlling and had threatened suicide following their fights on multiple occasions.
01:49On the car ride back to Manhattan, Jabari confirmed that she saw a text message on Majors' phone which read, quote, wish I was kissing you right now.
01:59After she grabbed his phone to see the message, Jabari said that he pulled and twisted her arm to get the phone back.
02:06She also said that she felt a hard blow across her head.
02:08Do you know they discovered the text from Joe Namath?
02:10No way!
02:11I want to kiss you.
02:13I want to kiss you.
02:15Additionally, jurors were shown surveillance footage that seemingly showed Majors getting out of the car and pushing her back into it.
02:23So, this is her on the stand.
02:24He will eventually have his time on the stand if he wants to testify, I assume.
02:29So, yeah, that will continue for a bit and we'll see what more comes of that.
02:34Jamie Foxx is reflecting on his medical emergency in April.
02:38Case, I believe we have a couple of clips that should have been sent over.
02:41Yeah.
02:41Okay.
02:42Speaking at the, well, I have the quotes here.
02:44All right.
02:45Speaking at the Critics' Choice Association, on Monday, he opened up about his health scare during an emotional award acceptance speech.
02:53He said, I want to thank everybody.
02:55I've been through something.
02:56I've been through some things.
02:58And he was accepting the Vanguard Award for his performance in the burial, by the way.
03:03He said, it's crazy.
03:04I couldn't do that six months ago.
03:06I couldn't actually walk, too, he said.
03:08And he started to well up with emotion and showing his appreciation for life.
03:12He said, it feels good to be here.
03:13I cherish every single minute now.
03:16It's different.
03:17He said, I wouldn't wish what I went through on my worst enemy because it's tough when you almost.
03:22And then he paused and said, when it's almost over, when you see the tunnel.
03:25He said, I saw the tunnel.
03:26I didn't see the light.
03:28He joked.
03:28And he said, it was hot in that tunnel.
03:30So, I didn't see where I was going.
03:32He said, S, am I going to the place?
03:35I see the devil going.
03:36Come on now.
03:37And in another lighter moment, he assured the audience that he was not a clone, despite previous rumors.
03:43That was a, you know, a conspiracy theory that was out there.
03:46So, whatever he went through, he almost died.
03:49And it was obviously traumatic.
03:51And he went through a lot.
03:52We still don't know.
03:52We still don't know.
03:53Yeah.
03:53There were, of course, rumors because he was in a facility that treats strokes that that's what he had.
04:00But if he had, I see no lingering, you know, remnants of that stroke.
04:07Seeing him out and about in interviews, he looks like Jamie Foxx the way you know him.
04:11Yeah.
04:11Sometimes you can bounce back.
04:12Yeah.
04:13Good for him if he did.
04:14After some rehab.
04:15So, all right.
04:15Here's one of the clips of him.
04:17You know, it's crazy.
04:17I couldn't do that six months ago.
04:19I couldn't actually walk.
04:20And then he talks about being near death.
04:30Feels good to be here.
04:32I cherish every single minute.
04:36Now, it's different.
04:37I wouldn't wish what I went through on my worst inning because it's tough.
04:43When it's almost over, when you see the tongue.
04:46I saw the tongue.
04:47I didn't see the light.
04:48Yep.
04:50So, whatever it is and whatever he dealt with, he's doing way, way better now.
04:54And maybe eventually he'll talk about exactly what happened.
04:57And he said that it is his sister, sister, that interceded and made sure he came out of
05:04this okay because she would not stop making sure he got with the right people.
05:08All right.
05:08Very good.
05:09Speaking of medical issues, Britney Spears, a strange father, Jamie Spears, had reportedly
05:14has had his leg amputated.
05:16Oh, my gosh, really?
05:18Yeah.
05:18According to the pop star's hometown of Kentwood, L.A., says.
05:22Diabetic or something?
05:23Well, he had knee replacement and got a terrible infection from it, according to a source.
05:29That could happen, man.
05:30He underwent multiple unsuccessful surgeries prior to the amputation, which was a last resort.
05:35This comes two months after Page Six reported that the 71-year-old was seriously ill and had
05:40been in and out of hospitals, including a facility for infectious disease patients.
05:44Sources said at the time that Jamie had lost more than 25 pounds while dealing with his
05:49health issues, which stemmed from a knee replacement in the mid-2000s.
05:54That's why, yeah, going under the knife, even if it's routine, there are slight chances that
05:59something can happen as far as infections go.
06:01You guys know my uncle almost died.
06:02He got the flesh eating disease, necrotizing fasciitis.
06:06He went in for a hemorrhoid surgery, and it nearly killed him.
06:09Of course, it was his rectum that they were working on, and it nearly killed him.
06:11Damn near killed him.
06:12Well, that's why, you know, Dr. Mike always says, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
06:15You want to die?
06:15Yeah.
06:15You want to die in a hospital?
06:17Yeah, if it's not totally necessary.
06:19But he had knee replacement.
06:20The guy needed to have it done.
06:21Right, yeah.
06:23But he's been estranged from Brittany for years.
06:25I have no idea if she's been in contact with him since this.
06:29Maybe this will turn that around.
06:30Yeah, who knows?
06:31Mark Ruffalo spoke to Robert Downey Jr. about his insecurities filming a nude scene for
06:37Poor Things.
06:38It was on Monday's episode of Variety's Actors on Actors series.
06:42He said, I was like, do I have to in regards to filming the scene?
06:46He said, all I can hear is nobody wants to see your old ass anymore.
06:49Maybe you shouldn't be doing movies like that anymore.
06:52I mean, it's my least favorite part of it.
06:54But I also saw it as an extension of the physical comedy that we were already finding.
06:59So it was just another way to tell the story.
07:02And then Robert Downey Jr. gave him some assurance and said, I got to say, you look pretty bangable
07:07to me in case you were wondering.
07:09So they had a nice little chat about it.
07:12Angelina Jolie is ready to leave Hollywood.
07:15The actor opened up about her issues with the industry in an interview with the Wall Street
07:19Journal, which was published yesterday.
07:21She told the outlet that if she were just getting started in her career, she, quote, wouldn't
07:26be an actress today.
07:27She said, when I was starting out, it wasn't as much of an expectation to be as public,
07:33to share so much.
07:34And I assume that means like in social media and things like that.
07:37No, yeah, that's probably true.
07:39She grew up around Hollywood since both of her parents were actors.
07:42She shared with the outlet that she was, quote, never very impressed with it and never bought
07:46into it as significant or important.
07:48She said, I grew up in quite a shallow place of all the places in the world.
07:52Hollywood is not a healthy place, so you seek authenticity.
07:56She says if there's a career that she'd want to emulate, it would be that of Jeff Dunham's.
08:00She loves ventriloquism.
08:01Oh, really?
08:02She also said that she plans to move when she can.
08:05So she's thinking about getting out of there.
08:08All right.
08:08The GMA3 scandal has taken a very interesting turn.
08:14According to Page Six, Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes' ex-spouses are now dating each other.
08:22No way.
08:23As I was reading this, I was wondering, Preston, how often do you think,
08:30like in the cases where the spouses are both sort of wounded and caught off guard,
08:34how often do you think that happens?
08:36I was thinking the same thing.
08:37Oh, I think it happens a lot.
08:39I mean, I know a number of stories where it's happened, even so where a couple,
08:44two women got together after their husbands left.
08:46Yes.
08:47I've seen that.
08:48Yeah.
08:48That's beautiful.
08:49It happened to some friends of mine's neighbors.
08:52Yeah.
08:52That happened.
08:53A source told the outlet that Andrew Hsu and Marilee Feebig bonded over their shared experiences
08:59after the affair, and the source said it turned into something else,
09:03and they're connected over their values.
09:05It's bigger than the affair now.
09:07Meanwhile, Robach and Holmes released the first episode of their new podcast on Tuesday
09:12and claimed that they did not cheat on Hsu and Feebig.
09:15Both claimed that they were already in divorce proceedings when they were outed as being in a relationship.
09:21It is pretty wild, though.
09:23So interesting.
09:24Yes.
09:24This is funny, too.
09:26On a recent episode of Variety's Award Circuit podcast,
09:30Emily Blunt revealed that The Office fans are still not happy about her marriage to John Krasinski.
09:37That's great.
09:38She said, do you know how many people still yell out, I wish you were with Pam, like when I'm walking next to him?
09:45She said, where's Pam?
09:46And I'm like, she's not here.
09:48Speaking about her close friendship with Jenna Fisher, who plays Pam on the hit series,
09:52she said she's one of our dearest friends.
09:54We love Jenna.
09:55They had great chemistry on the show.
09:57That's for sure.
09:58Yeah.
09:58You can't argue that.
09:59All right.
10:00This is nice.
10:02Our buddy Mark Summers is starring in a new off-Broadway show about his life in and out of the spotlight.
10:10Aptly titled The Life and Slimes of Mark Summers.
10:12The production will begin a 16-week limited run on February 14th ahead of a February 21st opening at New World Stages in New York City.
10:21That's awesome.
10:22He's been working his ass off on this.
10:24Oh, yeah.
10:24We actually saw the recorded, the film presentation of it, which was pretty amazing.
10:30And even then it was still, he said there was still more to be added to it.
10:33He texted me last night about it and sent over the article and I fired back.
10:38And I'm like, I said, man, you've done so many cool things.
10:40But I go, this has just got to be.
10:42Yeah.
10:42You got to be so proud of this.
10:44And he's like, he's jumping out of his skin.
10:45And he's really, obviously, who knows the story better than he?
10:48It's written by Tony-nominated actor Alex Brightman, who did Beetlejuice, School of Rock, and The Shark is Broken,
10:55and features music by composer and lyricist Drew Gasparini, who is known for writing songs for season two of Smash,
11:01as well as the scores for musicals like The Karate Kid, and It's Kind of a Funny Story, among others.
11:07And the producing team will also feature a famous face familiar to Food Network viewers.
11:12Guy Fieri is going to be on the producing team.
11:15Mark said, bringing the show to New York feels like a surreal dream, one that I'm still pinching myself over.
11:21He said, honestly, I sometimes feel like the luckiest guy in the world.
11:24I can't wait for people to join us on this journey, where laughter, entertainment, and pure joy will collide in the heart of New York City.
11:30That's everything awesome.
11:31It's fantastic, man.
11:32You know, he's going to have a, he'll have a Broadway debut in red carpet.
11:36And of course, obviously, I'm sure we'll be invited.
11:37I was going to say, we should go.
11:38Of course.
11:39Listen, if he wants to pick up the limo for us, I'll be very generous.
11:42No, we should go.
11:42And he said he wants to come by here, obviously, to promote it.
11:46So we'll definitely be talking to Mark.
11:48And of course, the whole hotel he's going to put us up.
11:50I'm sure it'll be top notch.
11:51Well, that's the way he rolls.
11:54And the per diem will be generous.
11:55Yeah.
11:56And the vacation that follows.
11:58Do you guys want to go Wednesday opening night or wait till the weekend?
12:01Well, whatever he wants.
12:02Whatever gets us the best limo, the best per diem, and the best vacation.
12:05It's up to him.
12:05According to TMZ, Lupita Eniogo and Joshua Jackson are continuing to spend time together following their respective breakups.
12:14Are they working on things, Preston?
12:16Jodi Turner-Smith filed for divorce from the Dawson's Creek actor in October.
12:20And the Black Panther actor announced a couple of weeks ago that she and Sal Masekela were going their separate ways.
12:28So on Monday, they were photographed arriving at the organic grocery store, Erwin, in Los Angeles together.
12:36Look at this avocado.
12:37Look at this.
12:38This goddamn thing is huge.
12:40What they should do is introduce their exes to each other so they can start dating.
12:44So the Us actor appeared to duck while in the passenger seat of the car to avoid being spotted.
12:51This comes after the pair attended a...
12:52It's okay.
12:52No one knows who you are.
12:53...a Janelle Monae concert together in October.
12:57No one knows who you are, sweetie.
13:00It's okay.
13:00Wait, so Matt is really good friends with Sal because he did all the X-Game stuff back in the day.
13:05Really?
13:06Yeah, he was like the host from MTV and into that time.
13:09Yeah.
13:10Nice.
13:10Excellent.
13:11Can he get us Mark Summers?
13:12He has a famous ex-girlfriend.
13:15Rita Moreno spoke with Entertainment Tonight recently about celebrating her 92nd birthday and whether or not she plans to retire from acting.
13:23She said, you know, I love what I do.
13:26Why on earth would I want to leave what I do?
13:29And she's good at it.
13:30Yeah.
13:31And she has the next jackass film she's doing.
13:34Oh, no.
13:34It's going to be great.
13:35She's already picked up some stunts.
13:37No.
13:38She was great in West Side Story.
13:39It was so...
13:40She's in the original Robert Weiss West Side Story.
13:43Yeah.
13:43And she appears in the Spielberg version.
13:46She's terrific.
13:47She said, so that's what I plan to do unless I can't or until I can't.
13:52So her latest film, Family Switch, premieres on Netflix on Thursday.
13:55This is called Falcon Punch.
13:57Speaking of that, Netflix's latest holiday offering has been dealt a huge blow after disgruntled viewers took to social media to slam the movie.
14:06We actually touched on this yesterday.
14:08Late last month, Netflix released Family Switch, and it's hitting headlines for the wrong reasons.
14:14The film follows the Walkers, a nuclear family of five who have a lot on their minds.
14:19There are college interviews to prepare for, record deals to clinch, and a soccer trial to nail.
14:24But after visiting a planetarium and getting their photographs snapped, the family wake up the next morning to find that they've all switched bodies.
14:31Jennifer Gardner and Ed Helms are in this film.
14:33And Netflix viewers have taken offense due to a particularly weird incestuous scene.
14:39I'd like to apologize to Jennifer Gardner.
14:41I stopped it right there.
14:42During said scene, daughter Cece, played by Emma Myers, is in her mother's body while being joined by friends at the family home.
14:51In an attempt to stir the pot, one of the group claims that couples need a minimum of 12 kisses a day just to sustain a relationship.
14:57Despite Cece pretending that she pecks her, quote, husband, whose body is currently occupied by her brother Wyatt, played by Brady Noon, 14 times a day, the so-called friends want to see a smooch in action.
15:10So what then takes place is a very strange kiss between brother and sister acting as mom and dad.
15:17So people who are complaining about this are calling it incest.
15:19A kiss is not incest.
15:21Incest involves sex.
15:22Also, these people aren't actually, they are actors.
15:27Like, dude, let it go.
15:29It's, it's, does it make you uncomfortable?
15:31Yes.
15:31It's supposed to.
15:32Exactly.
15:33It's a joke.
15:34I mean, listen.
15:35I think because it's, it's where it's airing.
15:38Like the title.
15:38What's the rating?
15:39Or, or, okay, so not Netflix.
15:41Because it's Christmas?
15:42Because it's, right, it's presented as a Christmas movie.
15:44Right, it's presented as, yeah, like.
15:46It is?
15:46Yeah, it's a holiday movie.
15:47It's a holiday movie.
15:48Oh, Family Switch was the only part that I gathered.
15:51Yeah, it's a holiday, so whatever, holiday family.
15:53It's kissing.
15:55And it's not even, it's a peck, and it's an uncomfortable peck.
15:57I saw the footage of the, the, the, the, the sequence.
16:01To call it incest is ridiculous.
16:03I think the movie European, what's, what's the, I forget the name of it, but there, there's
16:08one where literally, I think the guy accidentally has sex with his sister.
16:13Oh my God, no, this is, no.
16:14So that's incest.
16:16No, see, I'm not, I'm not okay with it.
16:17Right.
16:18I think there was a, a radio show that one time did a contest called Kiss Your Sister.
16:23That was us!
16:24Oh, that was us!
16:25That's gnarly.
16:27I knew I hated you guys.
16:29Uh, so people have taken.
16:31But that was an incest!
16:32Uh, taking the social media to air their frustrations with the movie's divisive scene.
16:36Following the backlash, the McG-directed film, based on a book called Bedtime for Mommy by
16:42Amy Krause, Rosenthal has scored low on Rotten Tomatoes.
16:45Uh, it's scored just 45% on the tomato meter and also holds a meter, uh, meager 49% audience
16:51score.
16:51Now, I don't know if that's because of that particular scene or not.
16:54No, no.
16:55I have, to be honest, I had not heard of the movie.
16:57Yeah.
16:57I, I mean, I, I was thinking about this movie and these types of movies and how weird they
17:02are.
17:03I didn't even, you know, not even thinking about the incest thing, but, and these are
17:07scenes that, uh, aren't, like, actually portrayed in the movie.
17:10But if you think about it, these little children are handling their adult parents' genitalia.
17:19Yeah.
17:19And I'd be handling it like crazy.
17:21Hell yes, it would.
17:22Look at this.
17:25Look at this thing.
17:26I don't have to wait.
17:28You know, if you're, what's your favorite incest movie?
17:30Oh, my God.
17:30So, I got, a flower's in the attic, right?
17:33That's, isn't that, uh, incest?
17:36Yeah, yeah.
17:36But if you want to go with porn, I mean, Steve, Taboo is the classic.
17:39Taboo, that's the classic, so.
17:41Did you guys, um, you watched Gen V, right?
17:43Paul knows all the answers.
17:44What's that?
17:45You watched Gen V, uh, the boys.
17:47Wait a minute.
17:47Okay.
17:48That's an actual line from Taboo.
17:50That's an actual line from the porn, it's not real incest, but it's acted incest movie, Taboo.
17:57Paul knows all the answers.
17:59I'm sorry.
18:00Go ahead, Casey.
18:00Uh, no.
18:01Uh, Gen V, did you watch it?
18:04No.
18:04Okay, there's a, there's a scene with Soldier Boy, and, uh, I'm not giving anything away,
18:09but this subject matter of said scene and what he's talking, I'm like, that, this is horrible.
18:14It's horrendous.
18:15It's meant to be.
18:15But it's made up.
18:17Right.
18:17It's fiction.
18:17It didn't actually happen.
18:19You know what I mean?
18:19So, in this case, and I think Kathy's right, is that this is sort of a holiday movie.
18:23Yeah.
18:23But again, again, as you rightly pointed out, A, they're actors, B, it's supposed to be
18:28uncomfortable for the joke, and C, it's just a kiss.
18:31They don't have intercourse.
18:32What about Violent Night and Fat Man?
18:33Those are holiday movies as well.
18:35Those are great movies.
18:35I love them.
18:36I love them.
18:36Talking about murder.
18:38It seems pretty innocent to me.
18:39I think it's just cringeworthy.
18:41I don't think people are going, this is an outrage.
18:43I think it's people are like, ew.
18:45You know what I mean?
18:45Ew, Jack.
18:46I'm going.
18:47I'm going to allow that, Jance.
18:49And Mark is on the line.
18:51I'm not going to go to the phone call, but he wants to point out Game of Thrones is filled
18:55with incest.
18:56Yeah.
18:57Loads of incest.
18:58In fact, the Targaryens are, that's their whole lineage is incestual.
19:02What's your favorite incestual relationship from Game of Thrones?
19:05Oh, wow.
19:06There's a lot, right?
19:07I mean, they're Jamie Lannister.
19:09Jamie and Cersei.
19:10Yes.
19:10Yeah, that's pretty.
19:11They make a good couple?
19:13Kind of, yeah.
19:14Kind of, yeah.
19:15So when they break up.
19:15They're both evil.
19:16So they're fit like a glove.
19:19All right.
19:19Well, anyhow.
19:19Now, moving on.
19:21During an episode of Variety's Actors on Actors series released yesterday, Margot Robbie revealed
19:27that Oppenheimer producer, Charles Roven, called her to see if she would move the release
19:33date for Barbie so that the two movies wouldn't overlap.
19:36So she was speaking to Killian Murphy and said, one of your producers, Chuck Roven, called
19:42me because we worked together on some of the projects and he was like, I think you guys
19:47should move your date.
19:47And I was like, we are not moving our date.
19:49If you're scared to be up against us, then you move your date.
19:53And he was like, we're not moving our date.
19:56And I just think it'd be better for your movie.
19:58And I was like, we're not moving.
20:00So by the way, stalemate, both of them releasing at the same time, I think upped the viewer.
20:06Yeah, I agree.
20:07You got people in the going to the movie mindset.
20:10Yeah.
20:10And plus there was the Barbenheimer thing.
20:11Right.
20:12That happened.
20:12And it was a big promotional thing.
20:14I mean, nobody could have seen that.
20:15No, you could not plan that.
20:16But it was kind of fun that it happened.
20:18She said she did wake up the next day and Preston, there was an atomic bomb in her bedroom.
20:22What?
20:23Just sending a message.
20:25And then I was happy to see this because I am committed to the series.
20:30And anytime you get committed to a series, you're like, please have another season because
20:35you don't want to have wasted all that freaking time on it.
20:38Freaking.
20:39But Foundation has been renewed for a third season at Apple TV+.
20:43Have you been enjoying it?
20:44I love it.
20:45Really?
20:46It's like.
20:46I didn't realize that.
20:47I can't wait to watch it now.
20:49Really?
20:49It's that good.
20:50It's epic.
20:51It's huge in its scope.
20:53It looks very Dooneyan.
20:55Very much so.
20:56And Steve, the practical effects and all the stuff, it's really, really.
21:01It's top level stuff.
21:02I got to go back and watch it.
21:03All right.
21:03Maybe I will watch this.
21:04As I started, I probably should go back to episode one.
21:08Maybe so.
21:09Because I can get everything.
21:09It's complex.
21:10It's one of those where you got to follow along.
21:13A lot of incest?
21:13You can't miss if it's loads of incest.
21:16Is this the one where there's kind of like this force field on the planet that nobody can,
21:21like, are the kids try to get as close to?
21:24Oh, not, well, yeah, of the vault.
21:26That thing, they're trying to walk up to it, and they start getting sick and passing out,
21:29and they don't know why it's this object that they have no idea what it is.
21:32Yes, it is that movie.
21:33All right.
21:33It's really well done.
21:34Then I will check this out.
21:36On Apple Plus, I'm watching Monarch Legacy of Monsters, which is-
21:41Digging that?
21:41It's very good.
21:42Excellent.
21:43Very good.
21:44Excellent.
21:44A lot of incest.
21:45Season two of the epic sci-fi series aired its finale on September 15th.
21:50The show is based on the foundation stories written by Isaac Asimov, which I'm thinking
21:54about eventually going to and reading, but it's a big commitment.
21:58There's a lot.
22:00I want to say that at one point, I read the first book.
22:05Okay.
22:05But I might be lying if I say that.
22:07I'm not sure I read it.
22:09So the head of programming for Apple TV Plus said,
22:11To watch Foundation become such a global hit, it's been beyond exciting, with audiences
22:14around the world continuing to be captivated week after week by this dramatic and compelling
22:18journey to save humanity, and we can't wait for everyone to experience it.
22:21But so it's got some big names in it, too.
22:24Steve Lee Pace.
22:25Yeah.
22:26Who played Ronan in Guardians of the Galaxy.
22:28He's phenomenal.
22:28That dude is in unbelievable shape.
22:31He's unbelievable.
22:32He's in incredible physical shape.
22:35And Jared Harris is another great actor, so I highly recommend it.
22:39So they're coming up in the third season.
22:40I can't stand that when the series just dies.
22:43We've talked about this many times.
22:44All right.
22:44Let's do the clips.
22:45Bringing Christmas Home is about a professor of military history who teams up with an antique
22:54store owner to help track down the original owner of a historic World War II uniform and
22:59the love letters in its pockets.
23:01And in this clip, actor Paul Green talks about who always appears in every Hallmark movie he
23:07does.
23:07My mom loves when I do Hallmark movies.
23:09She lives for them.
23:11And when calls a heart.
23:12My mom is like, it gives her something really fun to look forward to for Christmas.
23:17And she's in all my movies.
23:19My mom, she's been actually as an extra on a few.
23:22And then her pictures are in my apartment, too.
23:25Yeah!
23:26Go consider.
