00:00David Moyes faces key selection calls at both ends of the pitch
00:05as Everton look to end their Stamford Bridge hoodoo.
00:08In what was the low point of last season under Sean Deitch,
00:12the Blues were hit for six by Chelsea in this fixture,
00:15despite Moyes guiding Everton to a penalty shootout win at the ground
00:19in an FA Cup replay in 2011.
00:22Their last league win at Stamford Bridge came more than 30 years ago
00:26when Paul Rydon's header secured victory in Joe Royal's first away game as manager.
00:32The expected absence of captain James Tarkoski,
00:36forced off with a hamstring issue on his 109th consecutive Premier League appearance,
00:41is a major concern.
00:43Tarkoski's durability has been a cornerstone of Everton's defence,
00:46but scans will determine whether he can feature again this season.
00:51Moyes brought on Michael Keane against Manchester City,
00:54but the centre-back struggled and looked short of sharpness.
00:58With Keane expected to depart when his contract expires this summer,
01:02Moyes may prefer to restore Jake O'Brien to his natural centre-back role
01:07alongside Jareth Bramthwaite.
01:09If so, the manager has options at right-back,
01:12with Seamus Coleman, Ashley Young and Nathan Patterson all available.
01:18Patterson impressed at left-back during Mikalenko's absence
01:21and could be rewarded with another start.
01:25Everton needs some continuity,
01:27even though everyone wants a big summer transfer window,
01:31there needs to be some players there,
01:33and if you keep that spine of the team,
01:34Pickford, Tarkoski, Bramthwaite, Idrissa Garnagay,
01:38then you're doing something right.
01:41Up front, on-loan striker Armando Brogia is ineligible to face Chelsea.
01:46Beto is likely to return to the starting 11,
01:48having led the line for much of the season.
01:51Youssef Chimiti is another option, though yet to convince.
01:54Dwyke McNeil is pushing for a start after three substitute appearances
01:58since returning from injury,
02:01while Carlos Alcaraz and Tim Erogabulam are in midfield contention.
02:06Moyes will need to strike the right balance if Everton are to break
02:10their long-standing Stamford Bridge curse.
02:12Fierce LeĂŒnkabulam is in the middle of choir ofebbury,
02:19and it's like the guest you made on and a first stage.
