00:00These visuals are coming in from the national capital.
00:12The mortal remains of the Navy are now being brought in.
00:17These are images that are coming in from the national capital.
00:19It is terrorism that is now bleeding, Jammu and Kashmir.
00:24One of the three officers that have been killed in this dastardly attack,
00:27one was Navy officer.
00:30And these are the mortal remains, the family members.
00:34Present on the spot, the wreath laying taking place at the moment.
00:45The entire Jammu and Kashmir region has been put on high alert
00:48and in fact, protest also broke out in several areas.
00:52The images coming in from Delhi airport.
00:54The mortal remains of the army officer, of the Navy officer, who was killed in this attack.
01:02The remains of the Navy officer are now arriving in the national capital.
01:0826-year-old Lieutenant Vinay Narwal was from Karnal in Haryana.
01:12He was recently married, he was on leave and he was enjoying a very short vacation in Kashmir.
01:19Narwal, in fact, had joined the Navy barely two years ago and he was posted in Koche.
01:24His death has sent shockwaves through the family and the entire defense establishment.
01:29Most of the people who knew this young officer said that he had a bright future.
01:43These are the mortal remains of the Navy officer, young Navy officer, 26-year-old, Lieutenant Vinay Narwal.
01:52Vinay Narwal was hailing from Karnal in Haryana.
01:54He was recently married, he was on a short leave.
02:02My colleague, Gaurav Savant is now joining me on the story.
02:08Gaurav, there's palpable anger across the country.
02:1128 tourists, they were unarmed.
02:14They became the target and heartbreaking visuals we can see on our screens at the moment.
02:19The Navy officer's remains have now arrived in the national capital.
02:2426-year-old, Lieutenant Vinay Narwal from Karnal in Haryana.
02:29His mortal remains have now been flown to Delhi.
02:32This is a picture of his brothers in arms, his comrades in arms, paying their last respects as they carry his mortal remains now from here to Karnal in Haryana for the last rites.
02:45He was posted in Kochi.
02:47Married just recently, on the 16th, they tied the knot and decided to celebrate, you know, a happy married life beginning with a short vacation or their honeymoon in Kashmir.
03:00They just reached Kashmir, planned to go to Pehelgaam.
03:03There are some friends from the armed forces who had actually, you know, tied up for them to see various parts of Kashmir.
03:11Usually for Navy officers, their deployment, their postings, it's all around coastal regions or in Delhi.
03:18But they seek a posting, the Indian Navy, excuse me, they seek a posting to Jammu and Kashmir in case they're a part of the marine commandos.
03:27But in his case, this was purely a vacation, a vacation with his newly married wife as they travel to Pehelgaam.
03:34And this is where they trekked that journey.
03:38They were planning a longer trek is what friends in various groups are saying.
03:42But that's the time these four terrorists, two Pakistani, two apparently local from Tral and Bij Bihara,
03:49they struck and targeted those who did not have, you know, those who were not Muslim.
03:58In his instance, since they were in plain clothes, they didn't know that he's a soldier.
04:03They just saw somebody who was apparently enjoying Maggie, having something to eat there.
04:10And that's when killed virtually at point blank range in cold blood.
04:17Now his mortal remains have been brought here.
04:20There would be a solemn pledge that the armed forces will take, like they do in instances like these,
04:25that they will punish the perpetrators, the perpetrators here and those across the border.
04:33But this is one of those 28 people who lost their lives.
04:3826-year-old Lieutenant Vinay Narwal from Karnal, Haryana was one of those.
04:43Each and every one is an equally painful story of celebration turned into mourning for their families, for their loved ones.
04:53They'd sent beautiful pictures, they'd shared beautiful pictures in many of these instances,
04:59put images out on social media platforms about how they were enjoying paradise on earth in Kashmir.
05:06But what that happiness has ultimately turned into, the widow, the families, the relatives,
05:17you can see in these pictures, and of course, brothers in arms, men and women in uniform,
05:26from the Navy, from the Army, and from the Air Force,
05:30paying their respects at the Palam Technical Area in New Delhi.
05:34His mortal remains, Lieutenant Narwal's mortal remains, will now be carried to Haryana,
05:41where it would be consigned to flames.
05:44But again, this is a very stark reminder that Pakistan's state-sponsored radical Islamist terror
05:50continues to bleed our country for decades.
05:53And while our armed forces are at the forefront, our security forces are at the forefront of that war on park terror,
06:03it's even civilians who are targeted by Pakistanis.
06:08You know, whether it's a 26-11 Mumbai terror attack,
06:11whether it's an attack on the Raghu Na Temple in Jammu.
06:15I need a ticket forward to everything.
06:35I need a ticket before the EU.
06:36No, don't be me, don't be me, don't be me, don't be me!
06:43Don't be me!
07:06Jai Hind!
07:12Jai Hind!
07:26That emotional Jai Hind, a wife who's yet to come to terms and how can they?
07:32How can she?
07:33Just imagine, they just got married last week.
07:37The family, the friends, the friends, group, they've been sharing pictures of celebrations.
07:46But look at this image of Himanshi yet to come to terms.
07:52A very proud Jai Hind, she said, as her husband's mortal remains are brought to the Palam technical area in Delhi.
08:02As his brothers in arms, his comrades in arms shoulder his mortal remains.
08:12They salute his mortal remains before his body is carried to their hometown for his last rites.
08:18But the point remains, how long will India continue to bleed at the hands of Pakistan state-sponsored terror?
08:26You look at what happened in 1993 in Mumbai Serial Blast.
08:30257 people were massacred by Pakistani terrorists.
08:35You look at what happened in Pehelgaam.
08:38You have 28 fellow Indians killed by Pakistani terror.
08:442611 Mumbai terror attacks.
08:46166 massacred.
08:48And now, the salute before the mortal remains are lifted and carried on that vehicle with a black flag which will then carry his mortal remains.
