Kawasaki unveils four-legged ride-on robot 'Lion'
Called CORLEO, the ride-on robot lion is an all-terrain personal mobility vehicle, powered by a hydrogen-burning electric generator driving motors in each leg.
Kawasaki says the rider can control the machine through weight shifts detected by steps and handlebars, like a cross between riding a motorcycle, a horse and a Segway.
The front and rear legs operate independently allowing it to absorb shocks during walking, running and jumping and allow the rider to maintain a comfortable posture even when climbing.
Each leg is equipped with a rubber hoof that grips various surfaces, adapting to diverse terrains like grasslands, rocky areas, and rubble fields. The instrument panel displays crucial information such as hydrogen levels, route to the summit, and the center of gravity position.
At night, it enhances riding by projecting markers onto the road surface to indicate the path ahead.
