Story of Tayyab
Transcript
00:00Tayab was a boy who had everything. He lived in a tall glass building in the center of a big,
00:06bustling city. His room was filled with the latest gadgets, his closet full of designer clothes,
00:12and his days were packed with fun. But still, Tayab often felt bored.
00:18One rainy afternoon, when the clouds were dark and thunder rumbled in the distance,
00:23Tayab sat by his window, watching the raindrops race down the glass. That's when he noticed
00:29something unusual. A flash of green light in the alley behind his building. Curious,
00:36Tayab grabbed his umbrella and ran outside. The alley was narrow and filled with puddles,
00:42but the green glow was unmistakable. As he got closer, his heart started to race. There, curled up
00:49behind some old crates, was a small dragon. The creature had shimmering emerald scales,
00:56eyes like glowing amber, and tiny wings that fluttered nervously. It looked scared and tired.
01:03A dragon. Tayab whispered, unable to believe his eyes. The dragon sneezed. A puff of smoke shot out of its
01:11nose. Are you okay? Tayab asked, kneeling beside it. The dragon looked up, then nodded slowly. It spoke in a
01:20soft, raspy voice. My name is Zarek. I was flying over the city when lightning struck my wing. I fell
01:28here, and now I can't fly home. Tayab, who had never helped anyone before, felt something new stir in his
01:36heart. He didn't hesitate. Come with me, he said. We'll fix your wing. He led Zarek up the fire escape and into his
01:45penthouse. With the help of his tablet, a first aid kit, and lots of pillows, he created a cozy space
01:52for the dragon. Over the next few days, Tayab secretly cared for Zarek, feeding him, wrapping his wing, and
02:00reading him stories. As Zarek healed, Tayab changed too. He stopped going to expensive malls or fancy
02:08restaurants. Instead, he spent his days talking to his new friend, learning about the magical world
02:14of dragons, and planning their next adventure. One night, when the moon was full and the sky clear,
02:22Zarek's wing finally healed. He spread it wide, catching the wind from Tayab's rooftop.
02:28It's time, Zarek said. I must return to the mountains. Tayab's heart sank. Will I ever see you again?
02:38Zarek smiled. Whenever you believe in magic, I'll be near. With a mighty roar and a flap of his wings,
02:45the dragon soared into the sky, leaving a trail of sparkling mist behind.
02:51Tayab stood there for a long time, staring at the stars. He still had all his riches,
02:57but now he had something more. A secret, a memory, and a heart filled with wonder.
03:03From that day on, whenever someone asked why Tayab always looked at the sky with a smile,
03:10he'd just say, I'm waiting for a friend.
