00:01My wife was murdered.
00:03I want to go after Sarah's killers.
00:06And kill them myself.
00:09You might be the smartest person in the CIA,
00:11but you're just not a killer, Charlie.
00:13I can't make you into something that you're not.
00:16You're just a little nerdy fellow
00:17who likes to work on computers.
00:19In The Amateur, Charlie Heller is an unexpected hero
00:24who embarks on this quest for justice.
00:27He's an underdog who takes on this journey
00:32because of the love he has for this person he's lost.
00:36And along the way,
00:37meet a succession of other wonderful characters.
00:40If precisely as I say,
00:41and there's a slight chance,
00:43you may come out of this alive.
00:44I've been a fan of Rami's for a while,
00:46and these characters that we're playing,
00:48the relationship in terms of master-teacher
00:51gives us an opportunity to really, really find
00:53some wonderful things to play together.
00:56Take it, aye, now!
00:57Laurence Fishburne provides a real presence,
00:59a real authority.
01:01It's brilliant acting on the part of Laurence.
01:04Same with Jon Bernthal and Rachel Brosnahan.
01:08And then you have Katrina, who brings this vulnerability,
01:12but at the same time as tactically clever as Charlie.
01:16I've got your man, Charlie.
01:18You should get out of there.
01:20There's just so many great performances that are so powerful.
01:24When you see who all the players are in this film,
01:27it's really gifted actors with a fresh take
01:31on the world of intelligence.
01:33He's playing us.
01:34He practically invented half of our surveillance.
01:36I was very aware that we had a great script.
01:39It would attract great actors, and they brought it.
01:42It was day in and day out,
01:44working with the best of the best.
01:46Are you done?
01:47Have you had enough?
01:48No, I want them all.
