Transcript
00:00When Jason goes down and can't play tonight, Jalen steps up,
00:04not only the 36 points, the 10 rebounds, the five assists.
00:10What does that say about him as a player?
00:12I mean, it's a lot.
00:15I mean, at the end of the day, he's
00:16willing to do whatever it takes for us to win.
00:17And he didn't come in saying he had to get 36, 10,
00:21and then he came in and said, I'm
00:22going to do whatever it takes to win.
00:23And that's what he told me yesterday.
00:24And that's just the mindset that he has.
00:28So regardless of if it's going well for him or not,
00:31he can take it to another level.
00:32And he did that for us.
00:33And I thought the guys kind of fed off of that.
00:35Jalen, how in general do you approach games
00:37when Jason's not going to play, when you know he's not
00:40going to be out there with you?
00:40And how specifically did that affect your mindset going
00:44into tonight's game and your plan?
00:46No different.
00:47You know, obviously, JT is the offensive leader of our team.
00:52We all kind of play off of him.
00:53But any given night, I could rise to the occasion.
00:58You know, I just do what the team needs me to do.
01:01You know, I've taken that mentality.
01:03And I think sometimes people, you know,
01:05think that's like the only thing that you can do.
01:08So, you know, tonight I got lucky, I guess.
01:11You know, but we'll be ready for the next one.
