00:05Sultan Kudarat's coffee farmers have once again steered national pride,

00:09dominating the 2025 Cappé 12 Coffee Quality Competition.

00:13Oliver Rivera from the Foodpink Information Agency's Sgt. tells us more.

00:20Sultan Kudarat's coffee industry is making headlines,

00:24proving that quality can go hand-in-hand with quantity.

00:27For years, the province was known as the country's top coffee producer,

00:31but its beans were often considered lower in quality.

00:35That perception has now changed.

00:38Kinuha nyo na ang lahat.

00:41Nasa inyo na ang number one production.

00:45Nasa inyo pa ang best quality.

00:48Proven by the PCQC last year,

00:51and I'm very hopeful.

00:54I think most of the coming seeds will be from this area.

00:58You deserve the title.

00:59At the recent 2025 Cappé 12 Coffee Quality Competition,

01:04the province dominated both the Robusta and Arabica categories,

01:08reinforcing its status as the emerging coffee capital of the Philippines.

01:13On the farm level pa lang,

01:15alam na na mga farmers natin ang gagawin.

01:18They are not submitting for compliance.

01:21They are submitting because they know what is quality.

01:25The organizers credited this success

01:28to the collective efforts of government leaders,

01:31national agencies, local partners,

01:34and most importantly, the farmers.

01:37Pinag-yayabang natin.

01:40We are positioning our region,

01:42and we are positioning the province of Sultan Kudarat,

01:45to become the coffee capital of the Philippines.

01:48The annual Cappé 12 Coffee Quality Competition

01:52continues to open doors for local producers,

01:55paving the way toward national and even international recognition.
