00:00Well, Hannah, Ashley, Hash, felicidades for this night.
00:03What does it mean for you to receive this award and celebrate another achievement as sisters?
00:08Well, we are really excited, honored to be able to receive this award after 23 years.
00:16I think the most important thing for us is to be inquebrantable, but as sisters.
00:21And definitely what we make inquebrantable are our fans.
00:25We have a great group of love that thanks to them, Hannah and I, we can continue to have the tours that we have.
00:33We can continue to get new music and that they are always supporting us.
00:37So, we are really grateful.
00:40And also grateful to Billboard that it has events to recognize a woman.
00:44Every time we are more women in the industry, every time we have more photographers, more producers.
01:01You guys were ahead of your time cuando fusionaron country con Latin pop.
01:05Obviously, back then nos estaba usando.
01:08Nadie lo estaba haciendo.
01:09Ustedes lo estaban haciendo.
01:10Now, it's a little bit more common and people want to be doing that.
01:13Did you ever think it would catch on so strongly eventually?
01:18We did it for fun.
01:20Yeah, we just did it because that's what was in our blood.
01:22Half of our life we grew up in Louisiana.
01:24The other half we grew up in Mexico.
01:26So, we grew up listening to Spanish music and we grew up listening to country.
01:31So, it was kind of normal for us to do that.
01:33Whenever we'd go back to Mexico so our friends could understand what we were singing,
01:37we would just translate country songs.
01:38I love that anecdote.
01:39And so, anyway, that's kind of how we just naturally started doing country in Spanish.
01:44And 23 years later, it's just awesome that more and more people are picking up on it.
01:48And our last album, we named it Hashville, obviously because of Nashville,
01:53which is, you know, a country's, like, heart, right?
01:56And so, anyway, it's just, it feels really, really nice to hear every day more and more country.
02:01Y 20, más de 20 años de carrera, is there a specific business decision or just a decision
02:07that you made in general that has contributed to this longevity?
02:12Just always put our personal life before our work life, like, always be sisters before partners.
02:23And I think that's where it is.
02:25Hay mujeres, obviamente, besides you guys, y de las que estamos homenajeando,
02:31otras mujeres que estén inspirando su música o your songwriting right now?
02:36Inspira muchísimos.
02:37Yo creo que Elena Rose es una de las compositoras que admiramos muchísimo.
02:42Alice Seger es una cantautora que admiramos mucho.
02:46We're excited to celebrate you tonight, and you'll be performing as well, so don't miss that.
03:08But thank you so much for your music and what you represent.
03:12Y nada, felicidades and enjoy the night.
03:16Gracias.
