00:00Mummy drew on my 19.
00:02William Newbury, 22.
00:04Me and my girlfriend on Mother's Day went to Poppa and dropped off some baby presents to Emily
00:09because her baby's only six days old at the time.
00:13We arrived at the house and Oweyd was shouting.
00:17So first off we thought, well I thought it was just kids playing in the back gardens
00:23because it was sunny, it was a nice day like.
00:26The elderly neighbour next door came out and started going towards the house and I was like, it's a bit strange.
00:32Looked through the letterbox and seen Emily and the baby being attacked.
00:36It was the three dogs, one of them was on her foot, one was on her hand and the other one was going over her to the baby.
00:44I banged the door, looked like started shouting through the letterbox.
00:48The one dog going over her stopped, come to the door and started poking his nose through the letterbox
00:55to, you know, just see who I am.
00:59But it made the other two attack her a bit more nasty.
01:02When it first happened I had my six day old baby in my arms.
01:06I did what I can to protect him.
01:08He got away luckily with minor scratches.
01:10It went on for quite a while didn't it?
01:13Yeah.
01:14So I phoned her boyfriend and said, you know, I can't get in the house.
01:19Emily and the baby's being attacked by the dogs, there's blood everywhere.
01:23Get you equipped like.
01:25Him and his family were a bit, not too far away, but traffic and stuff like that on Mother's Day just didn't help.
01:34I started walking away from the house because we couldn't get in.
01:39I was going to, you know, go up by my car, wait for somebody to arrive because that was the closest point where my car was,
01:47was the closest point to the house, either footpath or road.
01:50So as I'm walking towards the car, I hear over the phone, the windows unlocked and I turned around, ripped the window open and jumped through.
02:01And that's when Emily and the baby were in the passage, then over the baby gate and helped pick Emily up.
02:09And Emily had hold of the baby more.
02:13It was more assisted towards the pram.
02:15And then my girlfriend went through the window, grabbed the baby.
02:19And then we both helped get Emily out the window after the baby.
02:23One of the dogs tried following her out.
02:27I started to shut the window and I was stuck in there then with the dogs.
02:33So I got loads of scars and stuff on this hand.
02:36I had 15 stitches just on my hand alone.
02:40So I had my fingertip on the crease of my finger here, the crease of my thumb.
02:45And there was one here.
02:46I got scars on my tattoo.
02:50I got big nasty, like sort of gashier and little, like they're not little, but they're more like holes in my hand.
03:00This finger, my little finger's broke.
03:03So it's on the middle part of the bone.
03:08And basically in the hospital, they said, if they put a pin through it and it gets infected, it could infect my hand and it could be really serious.
03:18So they just had to let it heal as it is, but it'll be forever broken.
03:22It'll never be the same again.
03:24So my finger will always be like straight or something.
03:26I'm not too sure yet.
03:27We don't know what the outcome is of it.
03:29On Friday, I found out we can keep the finger.
03:32The doctor's happy enough.
03:33So I've been caught obviously all over my arms.
03:39They have scarred over now, which is quite good.
03:42And then on my right foot, I've had to have two artificial skein grafts where I've lost all the skin tissue on top of my foot where my ligaments were then on show.
03:52And then I had 12 stitches in my left foot.
