00:00And James, let's just look ahead to Spurs' summer.
00:04Now, obviously, we've mentioned there are still a few players
00:08that they do have to keep it in terms of the squad going into next season,
00:13you know, manager if changes or not.
00:17Who are the players you feel that Spurs have to keep,
00:20that Spurs, you know, have to really nail down?
00:23You know, we've mentioned a number of times
00:24that the younger players have been the shining light
00:26of such an abysmal season.
00:28Are the likes of those the key sort of players
00:32to take the Spurs forward next season?
00:34And obviously, you know, the likes of James Madison,
00:36Heung-Min Son, where does their future stand
00:38in terms of, you know, seeing this Spurs rebuild
00:41across, you know, what has to be said,
00:43a massive summer in terms of Tottenham Hotspur?
00:47Yeah, it's a huge summer.
00:49And I think that's, again, part of the reason
00:51why I think we should announce Sanchez's departure now,
00:53because we need to start planning.
00:54You know, we can't keep hold of him until the Europa League final.
00:57Should we win that?
00:58We could be in an Eric Ten Hagman United situation
01:00when they won the Cup last year.
01:02They decided to keep Ten Hag on,
01:04and then they got rid of him halfway through this season,
01:06and it ends up being another disaster for United.
01:08So I really don't want that to be the case for Spurs.
01:10So you're right, huge summer.
01:12We need to get on with the planning.
01:14I think in terms of who we want to keep,
01:15we obviously, you know, we want to start building the team
01:17around that core of the youth, you know,
01:19the likes of Archie Gray, who, you know,
01:21he's had a rough ride this season, I must admit.
01:23He's come in and filled in at centre-back when we've needed him.
01:26He's played right back.
01:29But now there's nothing riding on the league.
01:30He still can't get a game in midfield.
01:32So, you know, we really should be playing,
01:34and that would also bore Andrew a bit of time
01:36and put a bit of credit in the bank, in my opinion.
01:38So we build it around Archie Gray.
01:40Lucas Bergwell's probably been the breakout star of the season.
01:42He's been absolutely tremendous since he's come in.
01:45Looks are real, real talent,
01:46and what a steal for eight and a half million.
01:48So they're, you know, two players we must keep and build around.
01:52Mikey Moore, who needs to, you know,
01:53obviously a very, very talented young midfielder,
01:55albeit he's a young player.
01:58Mickey van der Ven is another one we need to keep hold of.
02:00Dian Kulisiewski, you know, Destin Udoge,
02:04we've been linked with Manchester City.
02:05But again, when he's fit and he's firing,
02:08you know, we've seen the power and the pace
02:09and the performance against Frankfurt was, you know,
02:12absolutely off the scale.
02:13He was magnificent that night,
02:14probably the standout player.
02:15So there's a real core and nucleus of that youth.
02:18You'd probably add Jed Spence to that as well.
02:21He's not put a foot wrong.
02:22You could argue Jed Spence,
02:24despite not kicking a ball till late September for Spurs
02:27in that League Cup tie at Coventry,
02:28he's probably been Spurs' best player this season.
02:31Very, very consistent.
02:33A little bit unfortunate probably to miss out
02:35and be on the bench for those two Europa League
02:37quarterfinal ties as well.
02:39And then, you know, we're looking at players
02:41who've got question marks over them,
02:43you know, the likes of Romero.
02:45He's done an interview this week, hasn't he?
02:46And, you know, almost laid it out
02:48that he wants to leave Spurs in the summer,
02:50albeit not quite saying that directly.
02:53Benton Kerr's contract is another one
02:55that's rumbling on.
02:56You've got the likes of Son.
02:58He's 33, or he will be.
03:00Come next season, you know,
03:02do we keep Son?
03:03Do we hang on to him for another season?
03:04Do we let him go?
03:05So, there's some big, big questions around.
03:09I think, you know, there's still a core nucleus
03:12of top quality players there at Spurs
03:14and certainly youth in terms of coming up and coming
03:16that we need to keep hold of and build around.
03:18And, you know, the much maligned James Madison,
03:20he gets a lot of criticism from Spurs fans.
03:23He's very, very divisive among the fan base.
03:25But, you know, in my opinion,
03:27we're a better team when he's on the pitch.
03:29And, you know, you saw it against Forrest again.
03:31We lack creativity when he's not in the middle of the park.
03:34So, again, you know, I would be keeping hold of Madison
03:36and perhaps he just needs another manager,
03:39a different voice perhaps now to get an arm around him
03:42and really get the best out of him
03:43and get him back to that sort of first season form
03:45before his injury and the form he showed so often at Leicester.
03:49But in terms of, you know, where we need to improve,
03:52I do think we need to weigh in with that striker situation.
03:55I mean, Solanke's been fantastic this year.
03:57Charleston's done OK as well, to be fair,
03:59but he's never available.
04:01He's sort of made a glass a little bit, isn't he,
04:02in terms of the fitness there.
04:03So we need to be looking at the centre-forward position.
04:07Wouldn't mind Liam De Lapp, if I'm totally honest,
04:10from Ipswich.
04:10I think he looks a real player
04:11and he could really add to that core nucleus
04:14of sort of that young, hungry group of players.
04:16And then Odebeer showing flashes now again.
04:19I'd keep hold of him and try and build around him.
04:21And Matthias Tell, you know, will we take the option on him?
04:26Seems to be some noise around saying, you know,
04:28some say we will, some say we won't.
04:31Might well depend who the manager is.
04:32So lots of big decisions I have this summer.
