00:00Now Bristol City travel to league toppers, Leeds United obviously confirming their place in the Premier League again next season.
00:10An incredible journey for Leeds United. They've been one of the best teams, you know, especially outside the Premier League in terms of the EFL.
00:17The goals scored, the output has been pretty remarkable.
00:21Obviously a bit of strange rumours flirting around Daniel Farker and whether he's going to actually remain in the dugout.
00:28So that could play a part in this game. I mean, you go into it from Bristol City, it's a massive game for them to ensure that they are, you know, confirmed in the playoffs.
00:37Two games to go. There's obviously a lot still to play for for a lot of teams in terms of the playoff race and down the bottom of the championship as well.
00:44It's been an incredible season. I mean, if you look at the head to head, Bristol City have only ever beaten Leeds once, you know, in recent history as well.
00:53They've not had a great Leeds are certainly their bogey team. They obviously lost last season as well at home.
01:01These are the double over them last season. Bristol City drawing nil-nil with them back in October.
01:09You know, how Leeds attack this one. I mean, obviously they're going to want to go and ensure that they've won the division in these final couple of games.
01:17They don't want Burnley to have that trophy. They won that trophy at Ellum Road. There's no doubt about that.
01:22So, you know, Bristol City going into an interesting one. Dan, what's your take?
01:26How can they navigate this game? Because obviously Ellum Road has been an absolute fortress throughout the season.
01:32Well, Charles, you're certainly right. It has. Leeds United have only dropped a handful of points so far this season.
01:39I think it's about three or four draws and just one defeat. The rest have all been wins.
01:44So that just shows how good they've been. They're going for the league title.
01:48You know, if they win both of their final games, they'll get to 100 points.
01:52And obviously the majority of the points coming from their home games at Ellum Road.
01:55So here it shows what Bristol City are up against this Monday, this Monday coming, of course.
02:02But the incentive is certainly there for Bristol City because, of course, if they are to win this game,
02:08they guarantee their place in the playoffs with a game to spare.
02:12And that's huge for a team who haven't qualified for the championship playoffs for so many years.
02:17I think 2008 was the last time.
02:20So it's a huge incentive for Liam Manning and his players.
02:24And, of course, credit has to go to them just to say how well they've done this season to get themselves even into this position.
02:30Obviously, it's not finished yet.
02:32But they have to be given credit because, of course, we've mentioned before just how perhaps underappreciated Bristol City's squad has been this season
02:42and perhaps maybe how overachieving they've been as well.
02:46It's a good squad but not a fantastic squad despite having some really good players in it.
02:50But the tune that Liam Manning and his staff have got out of them has been nothing short of remarkable.
02:55So all credit to them.
02:57The game itself will be difficult, as I mentioned.
03:00It will be hard.
03:01Leeds, now with the pressure of promotion off them, they've achieved their main goal.
03:05They're going for the title.
03:06So if they win against Bristol City and then they win in their final game against Plymouth away,
03:11Leeds will be champions because, of course, they're currently level on points with Burnley.
03:14But they do have a far superior goal difference.
03:17So that's on their minds.
03:19Leeds, of course, have been celebrating their promotion over the last few days following Burnley's win over Central United and Leeds' win over Stoke City.
03:26So there might be a small hangover.
03:28But Daniel Farker has spoken of refocusing his team, allowing them to celebrate but then refocusing in because, of course, now that the promotion is secured,
03:37they would still, of course, love to win the championship title and add that to all of their CVs.
03:42So it's not going to be a Leeds team who are fully off the boil because I don't think that would be possible, to be honest, at all this season.
03:51But it might be a team, as I say, with a little bit of a hangover, but certainly one that will be focused enough to try and get the job done and are more than capable of getting the job done.
04:00And I think as a Bristol City point of view, you shouldn't forget that Leeds are very capable of turning teams over.
04:08It was a draw in the reverse fixture at Ashton Gate, which probably proved to be a valuable point for both sides, actually, at the time.
04:15But as I say, Bristol City certainly have the biggest incentive going because their season is not yet defined.
04:22Teams above them, Sunderland and Sheffield United, are now guaranteed to be in the playoffs.
04:26But Bristol City and one team below them are not yet guaranteed to be in that top six.
04:30So everything to play for, all to gain, but also all to lose as well.
04:35But they are in the box seat.
04:37They currently sit fifth and they've got the points on the board.
04:40So it's up to them to lose it, it's fair to say.
04:45So it's up to them to lose it, it's fair to say.
