00:00Dan, looking at Bristol City, now obviously in terms of their home form across the season
00:06so far, it's not really been up to scratch. You look at promoted sides, they always tend
00:12to do so, so well at home and make that sort of a fortress for them. Bristol City have
00:17sort of lapped that, played 10, only won three games at home, five draws. Yes, only two defeats,
00:24but 14 points at home is just not an ideal out of 30 available for them. In a way, they
00:32are actually doing okay. They're getting a lot of points away from home. It's quite a
00:38strange situation for fans to be in and the clubs to be in. How do they go about making
00:43sure that that home form is so important? That can certainly get them over the line.
00:48Obviously, a massive FA Cup tie in the new year against a struggling Wolves side as well,
00:52so home form needs to be a bit of a priority over this festive period.
00:58It does, because as you say there, they're picking up a decent amount of points away
01:02from home. Nothing spectacular. I think they're ranked about 10th in the current away standings,
01:08which it's all right. It's just above mid-table and that's sort of what you'd expect for a
01:13team like Bristol City. But then for their home form to be so poor in comparison, that's
01:17where the real issue is. You know, if you look at Ashton Gate and you think, well, it's
01:21a great stadium and you should really be playing to your advantages there, but they're
01:25not. And yes, they're creating enough chances, but for the most part, they're not taking
01:30them. And that's what the frustration is. And it's all well and good going away from
01:34home, picking up a point here, three points there. But then to not sort of follow that
01:39up with three points regularly at home is annoying, because Liam Manning, I mean, obviously
01:45he's called for improvements in front of goal for a number of weeks now. And that's what
01:51they need to do, especially at home, obviously, because, you know, you can do what you can
01:55away and you can pick up the points here and there, but your home form is your bread and
01:59butter, especially in the Championship. If you are wanting to challenge and if what they
02:03say is true, that Bristol City do have a decent enough squad that could perhaps challenge
02:08at the bottom part of the playoffs and maybe just even sneak into them, for their home
02:13form to be that poor, it's just not good enough, really, to be honest. And it's difficult because
02:20you're not really sure how that improvement's going to come, really, because, yes, you can
02:27look at January spending and obviously we don't know how much they'll do there, but
02:33you've got a decent enough squad and they all play a decent standard of football, but
02:37they're just not getting the results. So it's like, is it down to the individuals? Does
02:41there need to be a tactical shift? Who knows, really? And that's what's sort of frustrating
02:47and annoying because it seems like it's a vicious circle, that they play all right,
02:53they create chances, but they don't get the points that they deserve. And so how do you
02:56combat that? That needs solving, it needs solving quickly.
