Ahmedabad-Surat crackdown: Over 457 Bangladeshi infiltrators detained with fake documents

In a massive crackdown on illegal immigration, Gujarat Police have detained more than 457 Bangladeshi nationals in Ahmedabad alone for residing in India with forged documents. According to initial investigations, these individuals had allegedly obtained fake identity papers to settle unlawfully. Simultaneously, a similar operation in Surat led to the detention of 132 more Bangladeshi citizens living illegally. The raids were conducted based on intelligence inputs, and authorities have recovered numerous counterfeit documents, including Aadhaar cards and ration cards. Law enforcement agencies are now verifying their networks and how these individuals managed to acquire such papers.
