00:00There's this whole thing with Disney adults. You know this, right?
00:03Maybe I'm one of them.
00:04No!
00:05Welcome to Miss Mojo, and today we're looking at celebrities who have gotten themselves on the wrong side of the mouse, for one reason or another.
00:13Some of these bridges have been mended while others remain burned.
00:16One good deed is not enough to redeem a man of a lifetime of wickedness.
00:20Though it seems enough to condemn him.
00:22Indeed.
00:24Number 10, TJ Holmes and Amy Roback.
00:27This podcast couple is looking to be a star-crossed one.
00:30Holmes and Roback were working for ABC as Good Morning America hosts when their romantic relationship went public.
00:36And now, this TikTok video where the flirty co-anchors talk training tips is going viral.
00:42I run behind you, and you keep the pace. You're the pace, so that made me the pace-y.
00:46Yes, yeah, you're the pace-y.
00:47Okay, so yeah.
00:48We're gonna both be finishers, and that's what counts.
00:51The scandal? Both of them were still married at the time.
00:54They launched a podcast together, but not before Disney, per Holmes, allegedly banned them from Disneyland and Disney World for good measure.
01:03The first sighting of the couple since they were temporarily suspended from their GMA co-hosting duty.
01:08The DailyMail.com photographed them having lunch at an upscale steakhouse and sharing a laugh during a stroll.
01:14They certainly aren't hiding their love affair.
01:17Why Disney decided to include theme parks is a bit of a mystery.
01:21In any case, it goes to show that when it comes to family values, or at least employer ethics, Disney does not play around.
01:2845 is a big one, but they're all big ones at this point.
01:31They're all big ones. You know how I think I feel about birthdays.
01:33We're all lucky to be here, and we're excited about another year.
01:37Thank you, as always.
01:38Number nine, Robert Downey Jr.
01:40Downey has had a long struggle with substance use, spending time in rehab and even in jail.
01:45So, it isn't too surprising that he was once arrested and taken from Disneyland for smoking cannabis on a gondola ride.
01:52My experience is, there's a lot of like, there's almost like jokes about it, like people go to rehab and something like the 30 day wonder,
01:58and now they're a recovery ranger, and they've gone through the spin dry, and now they've got,
02:02I'm fine, I got it all together, you know, nobody is fine.
02:05Doesn't work that way.
02:06I don't think so.
02:06The fact that it was his first time going there must not have helped matters in the slightest.
02:10Downey has since come to terms with his unceremonious treatment,
02:13joking good-humoredly that he should have gotten a fictional license beforehand.
02:18Self-seeking and depression and self-pity and judgment and all that stuff, it's kind of a,
02:23it's a bit of a default, but I spend enough energy and I've had enough help over enough years
02:32to actually just say, oh, that's just awful, destructive behavior.
02:37It isn't known if Disney banned him, but it seems safe to say the company has since forgiven him for this breach.
02:43After all, they have more than a few attractions dedicated to Iron Man now.
02:48I would say that I was the atlas of the Marvel Universe.
02:51I was holding it up.
02:52Well, you were.
02:53They should erect a shrine in my honor, blah, blah, blah.
02:57Whatever.
02:57I really just got, I got to be the, the front man in a band that was going to be in the Hall of Fame no matter what.
03:06Number eight, Bruce Springsteen.
03:07That's kind of silly because there's a story already there.
03:10That's the story I wanted to tell.
03:12So to create another story to go along with it, that doesn't make sense either.
03:18Sometimes celebrities don't get thrown out for conduct breaches, but for something as simple as a dress code.
03:23Springsteen and his group had barely stepped foot into Disneyland when one employee asked Springsteen's friend to remove his bandana to remain in the park.
03:31So I said, okay.
03:34See, oh really, I'm just, that's a hard no.
03:36This was supposedly so Springsteen et al. wouldn't be confused with gang members.
03:42Springsteen refused to remove his own bandana out of solidarity, and thus they were all escorted out of the park.
03:47When they tried to visit a different park, they were also denied entry for the same reason.
03:51Much Ado About a Bandana.
03:53I'm going to, I want to put you on the road doing just what you were doing before.
03:57We'll get an entire phony E Street band behind you.
04:02Oh my god.
04:02Number seven, Alison Stoner.
04:04In a 2018 article in Teen Vogue, this Disney Channel star came out as pansexual.
04:10Stoner was the co-host of Mike's super short show on Disney Channel.
04:14And they also appeared on other hit shows like The Sweet Life of Zack and Cody.
04:18We did it, we did it!
04:21Oh, you did it!
04:25Upon coming out, Stoner claims in their podcast that Disney removed them from a project.
04:29Stoner says they felt they were unsafe to be around kids due to their sexuality.
04:34I did end up getting fired from a children's show because they felt that I was unsafe now that they knew I was queer to be around kids.
04:44So there was like definitely discrimination there.
04:47Disney's record on supporting LGBTQ plus rights has been patchy indeed.
04:52Criticized for both lack of and too much queer representation in their feature films.
04:58Perhaps the real controversy is the company's treatment of their queer artists.
05:02But the like beauty far outweighs the hate comments and death threats.
05:10But it was intimidating and also liberating.
05:15Number six, Rockmund Dunbar.
05:17This goes back, everybody has sort of their start in the business where the seed was planted for you.
05:22Because you didn't start wanting to be an actor.
05:24You were in school studying, right?
05:25Absolutely.
05:26What were you studying?
05:27Some celebrities have aroused Disney's ire simply through lawsuits.
05:31Dunbar made waves when he claimed Disney had blacklisted him due to his refusal to get the COVID-19 vaccine for religious reasons.
05:38His lawsuit against the company asserts he was fired from the show 9-1-1 after Disney denied his attempts to get a vaccine exemption.
05:45Don't look at me like that.
05:48I have nothing to be ashamed of.
05:50Dunbar also alleged racial discrimination, claiming that other non-black cast members were accommodated.
05:55The lawsuit was dismissed for failure to prove broad discrimination among other members of Dunbar's protective group.
06:02Still, Dunbar has maintained that he has been placed on a do-not-hire list.
06:06And I'm dropping her off at home and, you know, I'm trying to get, you know, her to accept me a little bit more.
06:14Number five, Grace Jones.
06:16How are you doing, darling?
06:17How are you?
06:17Looking great.
06:19Nice to have you here.
06:19Nice to see you.
06:20Only you can get me up this early.
06:23Actually, I haven't been to bed yet.
06:24How do you get banned from Disney for life?
06:27Simply taking off your shirt will do.
06:29Back in 1998, it was reported that singer Grace Jones pulled off her blouse and exposed her chest while performing at the House of Blues at Disney World.
06:38This resulted in Jones getting banned from all Disney properties.
06:41Here's my fear.
06:42Now, this is, this is, this is the Grace Jones that has become a classic.
06:45It isn't completely confirmed whether Jones was banned for life, but considering Disney's squeaky clean image and how consistently it upholds it, it wouldn't surprise us.
06:54The singer may be a slave to the rhythm, but that doesn't mean she answers to Disney.
06:59No, I like things to come, you know, fluid, like, you know, like the ocean.
07:05Just, you know, comes when it, when it's ready, it's gonna come.
07:09Number four, Alfred Hitchcock.
07:10Let me ask you a bit about your thoughts on violence on the screen and all that.
07:14It's interesting because that clip we showed from Psycho was from a film that was edited quite a bit when it was shown on primetime television.
07:21Some of the scenes were considered too, some moments of scenes were considered too awful to show.
07:26In those days.
07:27Even legendary film directors are not exempt from the wrath of the mouse.
07:32After the success of North by Northwest, Hitchcock decided to set his next project in Disneyland itself.
07:39The film was to follow a pianist who visits the theme park upon regaining his sight after having lost it.
07:44When Walt Disney himself heard of it, he promptly shot the idea down, claiming that he would never allow the controversial director to shoot a foot of film in Disneyland.
07:53In English television, when I was over there, they allow a certain amount of nudity on English television.
08:01Complete nudity on English television.
08:02Yes, considering the weather over there, I'm surprised.
08:06Hitchcock tried to change the Disneyland set piece to a cruise ship, but ultimately could not get it to work.
08:11The Blind Man was shelved, only to be revived as a BBC radio drama in 2015 by Mark Gatiss.
08:18Now the question, why do people pay money to be scared?
08:23Do you know the answer?
08:25Of course not.
08:28I earn my living doing this.
08:30Number three, Rebel Wilson.
08:32Did you know, Hassan, there's actually gangs at Disneyland.
08:35There are like these gangs of adults.
08:38They have like cool names like the White Rabbits or Children of Thanos, Coco Locos.
08:46Like, yeah, they have all these gangs and sometimes they wear matching vests.
08:50When Rebel Wilson visited Disneyland in Anaheim, California, she took a selfie in a secret bathroom at Club 33, which isn't open to most of the park's visitors.
09:00This was apparently illegal, which led to her 30-day ban.
09:05The punishment was minor, all things considered.
09:07Oh, there is a happy ending.
09:09As Rebel put in her Instagram announcement, we said yes.
09:13But afterwards, the picture-perfect moment got a little blurry.
09:18In an interview with The Daily Show, Wilson claimed Disney was very accommodating, even asking her which 30 days she would like to be banned for to fit her schedule.
09:26I took a photo in a secret bathroom inside Disneyland, which is illegal at Disneyland, and I got officially banned for 30 days.
09:35But they called me up and said, Rebel, what 30 days do you not want to come to Disneyland because you're away filming a movie or something?
09:41And I said, oh, June would be fine.
09:44That's how I know you're a celebrity.
09:46Wilson is always a rebel, but at least Disney didn't come down on her too hard.
09:51Number two, Johnny Depp.
09:52For an actor who has truly been on the wrong end of Disney's might, look no further than this worldwide star.
09:58In the wake of allegations of domestic violence, Depp resigned from his role as Grindelwald in the Fantastic Beasts franchise.
10:04Not all of them, not all.
10:07We're not merciless.
10:10The beast of burden will always be necessary.
10:13During the controversial trial, Disney decided to remove Depp from his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
10:21I believe thanks are in order.
10:27Had a brush with the East India Trading Company, did we?
10:30Pirate?
10:32Hang him.
10:33Not only that, but Disney also declined to cast him in future projects.
10:37Depp has since gone on record stating that he would never work for Disney again after what he considered to be their shoddy treatment of him.
10:44I want you all to know that today is the day that you almost captured Captain Jack Sparrow.

11:06Number one, Adriana Casalotti.
11:10Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Adriana Casalotti.
11:21Adriana, I have often wondered what Snow White or the voice of Snow White would look like.
11:25It's good to meet you.
11:26Thank you so much.
11:27I'm happy to be here.
11:28Perhaps the worst case of a Disney blacklist is also the most unfair one.
11:33You will instantly recognize Casalotti's iconic voice as Snow White in Disney's first full-length film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
11:41I'm wishing, I'm wishing for the one I love.
11:47Disney paid Casalotti only $970 and did not give her any credit for the role.
11:53We know who we are.
11:55Ask her who she is.
11:56What's she doing here?
11:58Oh, don't you remember me?
12:00I'm Snow White and this is my friend Julie Andrews.
12:04How do you do?
12:04And we're going to sing to you.
12:06Casalotti's later career sputtered, with Disney refusing to let her be cast in any other projects out of fear of spoiling the illusion of Snow White.
12:14Casalotti did manage to land a one-line role as the voice of Juliet on The Wizard of Oz, which also went uncredited.
12:21Wherefore art thou, Romeo?
12:24Her iconic performance as Snow White makes Disney's ill-treatment even more egregious.
12:30I'm wishing, I'm wishing for the one who I love.
12:37Can you think of any other celebs who were DDD'd, done dirty by Disney?
12:42Let us know in the comments down below.
12:44You are without doubt the worst pirate I've ever heard of.
12:48But you have heard of me.
12:49Do you agree with our picks?
