00:06We have a station up in Rochester, New York.
00:08It was recorded you're visiting there tomorrow.
00:10Can you talk a bit about the purpose of your trip?
00:12I know the Trump administration is suing the city over its sanctuary city policies,
00:16how the executive order Caroline alluded to ties into it,
00:19and what your message is for communities and community leaders who say,
00:23we're able to establish our own rules here, we're worried about this input from the federal level.
00:28Can you talk a bit about that?
00:30Well, same thing I talked about earlier.
00:33I don't think any elected mayor, any elected governor should want public safety threats,
00:39those illegally in the United States, public safety threats, walking through the community.
00:43And what happened to Rochester, HSI agent called for emergency assistance.
00:50Officers of Rochester PD responded to a call from emergency assistance from a federal law enforcement officer.
00:58They responded, then they got disciplined.
01:01I don't think anybody can come up with one instance where an ICE agent or a Border Patrol agent didn't respond to emergency call from assistance from any law enforcement agency.
01:13Cops need to help cops, especially in the emergency situation.
01:16But they got disciplined.
01:18And I met those officers down in Nashville soon after that.
01:22I think it was a couple days after it.
01:23And I told them I'd stand with them.
01:24They did the right thing.
01:25Law enforcement responding to emergency assistance from law enforcement.
01:32So I'm going up there to support the men and women in law enforcement, the men and women who carry that badge and gun every day.
01:37They're working the streets at 2 a.m. while we're all sleeping.
01:39I'm going to give them my support, and they just announced a lawsuit, and that's one of many.
01:44Sanctuary City is going to be sued on this administration for flouting immigration law.
01:49I mean, the law is clear, and they're violating it, and this administration is going to take actions.
01:53I'm going up there to show my support, and men and women in law enforcement.
01:56I started as a cop.
01:57And the community, I'm showing support for them because the community wants your police officers to be officers, too.
02:03The communities don't want public safety threats walking around their communities, either.
02:06And that's what it's all about, and that's why I'm going.
