00:00The winter had been cruel.
00:06In the small northern village of Frostfall, the snow lay thick as walls, and food was becoming scarce.
00:12The rivers froze, the trees bent under heavy ice, and whispers of a monstrous white snow bear haunting the jungle spread like fire among the villagers.
00:22Wakas, a brave boy of fifteen, could not bear to see his people suffer. He had always been daring, riding his horse Blaze, a mighty brown stallion with a heart as wild as the storms, across frozen fields and rocky hills.
00:37Now it was time for his greatest challenge yet.
00:40I will hunt in the snowy jungle, Wakas declared, tightening the furs around his shoulders. If the bear stands between us and survival, then I must face it.
00:51At dawn, Wakas mounted Blaze, packed his strongest bow, a quiver full of arrows tipped with iron, and a hunting knife strapped to his belt.
01:01The snowy jungle loomed ahead, a place of twisted trees, heavy snowdrifts and deadly silence. It was said no man who entered its heart returned.
01:10The journey was harsh, cold wind howled like wolves, and the snow crunched deep under Blaze's hooves.
01:18Thus clung to Wakas' eyelashes, and his breath came out in heavy clouds. But his spirit burned hotter than the cold. Hours passed, and suddenly Blaze snorted and stopped.
01:28From between the trees emerged the creature, the giant white snow bear.
01:33It was enormous, standing twice as tall as a man, with claws as long as swords and fur so white it blended with the blizzard. Its golden eyes locked onto Wakas with a fury that chilled his bones. The bear roared, shaking the frozen trees.
01:49Without hesitation, Wakas knocked an arrow and let it fly. It struck the bear's thick shoulder, but only angered the beast. The bear charged, faster than expected. Blaze reared and dodged, his hooves skidding on the ice.
02:04Wakas clung tight, guiding his horse around the trees, forcing the bear to slow through the narrow paths. He fired arrow after arrow, each one finding its mark, but the bear kept coming, a living mountain of rage.
02:19Then Wakas had an idea. He spotted a deep frozen ravine ahead, hidden beneath a layer of weak ice. If he could lead the bear across it. Holding tight to Blaze, he galloped toward the ravine, the bear thundering after him.
02:34Just as they crossed the thin ice, Wakas shouted and steered Blaze aside. The horse leapt to safety, the heavy bear crashed after them, and the ice shattered beneath its weight. With a great roar, the bear fell into the ravine below, trapped but alive.
02:51Wakas looked down, his heart pounding. You are mighty, Wakas said with respect. But my people must live. He returned to the village with news that the snowy jungle was safe once more.
03:04The villagers hailed him as a hero, and Blaze was fed with warm oats and crowned with flowers. From that day on, they sang songs of Wakas and Blaze, the boy and the horse who conquered the snow, the jungle, and the giant beast that once ruled them all.
